I don't know where the guys are taking this 10 minute transaction time from.
Because blocks are mined every 10 minutes on average and transaction are confirmed along, some people thought the 10 minute average means every 10 minutes, transaction are confirmed, not knowing that it can take less and more than 10 minutes.

I send 1sat/byte transactions regularly and it can take up to 24h to get confirmed. 30 minutes to 1 hour is EXTREMELY FAST, 2-5 hours is OK, 12-24 hours is slow. In any case, even 24h is ok with me, I'm planning my transfers beforehand.
It depends on how congested the mempool is, if the high fee priority is 1 sat/byte, paying lowest amount for fee can possibly get the transaction confirmed when the next block is mined and it may take less than 10 minutes or not longer much than 20 minutes.

That's the average block time.
If the fee rate you use for your transaction is high enough so that it's within 1 vMB of the tip, it would take 10 minutes on average for your transaction to receive the first confirmation.
The fee rate required to be used for getting confirmation in the next block depends on how congested the network is. Sometimes, 1 sat/vbyte is enough.

Bitcoin transaction can take 1, 2 , 3 or more minutes, it can take more than 10 minutes too. It depends on when the next block is mined and that can take less than or more than 10 minutes. But be expecting a time not far away from 10 minutes.

Yes, 1 sat/vbyte transaction can be confirmed early. It depends on how congested mempool is.

Use this to know the feerate to use: https://mempool.space
For advanced users: https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weight

Transaction has been 2hours now and not confirmed

Other crypto is useless and nobody is using it. Therefore their mempool is always empty and transactions are getting processed fast and cheap. Bitcoin is the King. If you don't understand it - HFSP.  Grin
It's interesting to know that majority of altcoins have severe flaws that are only found when their usage grows even by a little. For example you could see their fee rate shoot up by a tiny bit of increased usage like what happened to bcash, ethereum, etc.

There is no such thing as a transaction accelerator unless you have your own mining pool.
You can pay a mining pool (if they offer such service), so that they include your transaction in the next block they will mine.
ViaBTC even has a free transaction accelerator. I have used their service before and I can confirm that it's helpful.

Of course, but that's why I was saying you need a mining pool, you can only claim you can accelerate that for sure if you have the means to actually got it confirmed.

What most of those guys who pray on newbies tipping them for the "accelerating" do is exactly that, go to ViaBtc and try to get into the free slots every hour, they are basically doing just what the user could have also but even so nobody can guarantee they would be able to submit even one each hour when there are a hundred doing so.
Lucius was doing this for free for a while, but he was open about what he was doing not claiming like others he has some hidden methods.

OP you can try out this FREE/PAY BITCOIN TRANSACTION ACCELERATOR. Here people are posting tx or Hash IDs of there transactions, that are struck and are not getting confirmation.
Already enough has been said about the transaction time. Just a quick note that always set a decent fee to make sure you get confirmation in time. Just have a look at this transaction the amount is 3.28287827BTC (or $78,201.15) but the fee paid is just 0.68$. The sender also want a quick confirmation. Of course you can set minimum fee but then you should not looking for a quick confirmation.

There is no such thing as a transaction accelerator unless you have your own mining pool.
As for the TX you mentioned, it was mined in block 762319 and it had a fee rate of 19.9 sat/vB .
This transaction:
https://mempool.space/tx/47481a61031dba23ab99cd6f87f0eedd4c50735543410c4b570d9c8589ff0d1d
was confirmed in the same block and it paid 17.0 sat/vB.

So the tx didn't get confirmed by some accelerator, it got confirmed simply because the fee was enough to be included in the next block and just six blocks down the road in 762325 transactions with 1sat/b got confirmed.

This topic has been created 13 days ago and OP's transaction has been already confirmed.

The confirmation time and the fee required to be paid don't depend on the transaction amount at all. It doesn't matter whether you are sending a few satoshis or hundreds of bitcoins.

You will be sorely missed. Learn how the coin works before you use it. That's what an intelligent person would do. Understand what the mempool is and what happens when you broadcast a transaction. After that, read how a transaction is confirmed and which ones have priority over the others. To put it in a language that you understand: pay more than the minimum fee you cheap motherfucker if you want a quick confirmation, or sit your ass down and wait.

Bitcoin can take up to an hour to confirm depending on the exchanger/ broker
Please don't post something you don't have any information about or at least read the previous posts before posting.
The confirmation time depends on the (virtual) fee rate you have used for your transaction and how congested he network is.
A bitcoin transaction may take only a few seconds (if you have paid enough fee and you are a bit lucky) to be confirmed. It's also possible that it takes some days.

Normally, Bitcoin transactions takes around 10-60mins to complete.
Bitcoin transaction can take less than 10 minutes, it can also take more than 10 minutes.

This is usually because all transactions must first undergo 6 confirmations in the Blockchain from miners.
Transaction is confirmed with just 1 confirmation. But some people can prefer to accept more confirmations before they can accept a transaction for payment. The more the confirmation, the better it is against chain reorg but 1 confirmation is enough against scammer's double-spend attack.

Okay,
  • You don't need to pay $10 in fees.
  • Cryptocurrencies whose transactions finalize in seconds are either inactive or and centralized, both of which are considered bad if you pardon me.

Check out lightning for faster settlement.

Although it is not common but when speaking of transaction confirmation it is a good idea to do a quick check of the transaction parents (or inputs) to see if they are confirmed or not. Sometimes you may pay the high priority fee but not see any confirmation because the parent is paying a very low fee and that is delaying the confirmation.

In cases like this, you either have to wait or use what is called CPFP (Child Pays For Parent) which is where you increase your transaction's fee enough to cover the cost of both your transaction and the parent's fee difference to reach high priority level.

Dont over exaggerate things. You didn't pay 10$ for it and neither do we require to pay that much fee now with native segwit integration.

Did your transaction get confirmed ? If you dont know how to accelerate, post your txid here or here and someone might help you speed up the process. And next time if you are in a hurry, pay a bit higher fee (most self custodial wallets will suggest you a recommended fee by default).

You paid only $0.03 worth of bitcoin for your transaction.
If you had set the fee rate to 3 sat/vbyte, your transaction would have been confirmed with less than $0.1 worth of bitcoin by now.

You can get the first confirmation in many altcoins transactions much faster. But they need much more confirmations to be considered as final.

What wallet did you use? Are you the sender or the receiver?
As mentioned by LoyceV above, you may be able to accelerate the transaction using RBF or CPFP.

OK.
But take into account that maybe you were unlucky with a timing, recently mempool is very, very often almost empty and you may have your transaction confirmed with "1sat" fee.

PS: keep calm and don't use profanity

Transaction has been 2hours now and not confirmed

You simply got extremely, but extremely unlucky!
If you would have sent it half an hour earlier it would have got confirmed immediately,  block 772777 that was mined at ‎2023-01-20 07:31 so about 3 hours ago was not full so it would have included it. After it we had a period of very slow blocks,7 mined instead of 15, and a dump of transactions.

It's still early morning so once the pace picks up again with blocks it will get confirmed probably in a few more hours, but nobody can anticipate if somebody drops another 10k transactions with higher fees than yours.

1.000 sat/vByte
Bitcoin Core's current estimate is within 8 hours. If you're in a rush, see if you can increase the fee (RBF), or send your change again with a higher fee (CPFP).

Look at jochen-hoenicke.de for a fee-graph. For next time: if you would have paid 1.050 sat/vByte, your transaction gets priority over the ones who pay the absolute minimum (and it would have been confirmed already).
