I don't know why the hodling meme spread to altcoins. Only about 1 in a hundred alts will make you any money. Therefore, if they get pumped, and you are in profit, take that profit before the dump happens. At least that way you end up ahead.

If you hold through thick and thin, you will end up a bagholder.

Hey guys today i have a special question.
i am HODLing 11 different coins right now including bitcoin...it that too much or should i spread even more?

My opinion is make a wide spread so your dont have that big loss. on the other hand also not that big win...

What do you think?

it's definitely a good strategy to diversify your portfolio. Hard to say how many coins you should hold, but I do around 5 or 6. Not too many to keep track but wide enough to prevent losses.

As long as you have a good system in place to keep track of them all I think there is no maximum amount but of course holding shit coins for any longer time is not a very good idea and will just make you lose money long term. You only want to hold the really good projects for longer time (over a year) that have a shot at the top 10. Other not so promising projects is much better to keep until there is a pump then sell because in the long term they will have a slow death.

Hodl as many as you can. Just choose potentially good alts. If you already have those on the top ten alts you should also consider adding in to your portfolio new alts which after careful study and research they will give you the earnings of 20x or more. You need to strategize and plan carefully so that you hodl the right coins.

There are about 10 kinds of cottage coins in my hands. Most of these coins are the top 100 in market capitalization. There is a lack of a fuse in the market now . I believe the soon-to-be encrypted digital prices will soon rise.

I hodl more than 50 coins. I think that some people have much more. Now most of the prices are such that I do not want to sell anything. Perhaps it will be a long time.

If you are in crypto trading full time and have time to follow every single movement in the market, take as many coins as you can, keep a track on when to dump and pump. When necessary you may go down to one coin that is expected to boom but in general, like most other said, dividing also divides the risk so keep that in mind as well.

if I remember correctly, I only hold three different types of tokens, and even then only in small quantities. I hold swarmfund, spectre.ai (SXDT), and token STK, the result of some bounty (social media bounty, and newsletter)

You can hodl as many as you like, but better idea is to hodl what you trust in. More and more interesting projects are coming out, so your portfolio should be also quite diversified.

The best coins to keep in hand are Neo and Vechain.
Vechain has provided a partnership agreement with BMW. Neo is growing at a fairly rapid pace, with dozens of projects using the Neo infrastructure. The prices of both will increase greatly Smiley

It's definitely not enough if you're exposed to crypto every day of your life  Grin I'm planning to collect atleast 10 each of those on the top 10 other than Bitcoin and ETH since it is too expensive now and I can't afford it. After being in here in the crypto world for half a year now I think my plans isn't enough since there's plenty of altcoins to collect out there and I sometimes doesn't want to get out of those exchanger and I want to buy everything!  Grin

There is no limit to the amount of coins I need to hold as long as there is an opportunity to be part of the project at a good price, I would join the tokens. I missed out on ICON ICO, do that means I should not add it to my portfolio when I believe in the future of the token.

i am holding 5 coins . i think its better to hold less different coins but much of one coin .
for example you can better buy 1000 onion then spread the money you spend to onion to different coins . so you get more profit is the bulls run

You keep pretty much a coin, I do not hold much like you, I'm afraid that all the coins I hold are discounted. I will lose a fair amount of money. So I keep only one coin, and the other coin, when I'm profitable, sells all of them. I'm afraid of losing my capital. But maybe I will learn your way, will keep more coins.

I think 5-8 altcoin number is optimal, sometimes I'm buying 3-4 new altcoin and sometimes reducing total kind of altcoins but normally I hodl 5-8 different altcoin for long term, if there is much it is bad, you must follow all of them.

Having more than 10 coins does not make any sense because it's hard to follow their price trends and prices. In addition, you need to know about market news about those coins too.

With a lot of different coins, your portfolio will grow slowly but safer as worst performers will have less impact on it (same for best performers). I mean if one coin is doing -50% while your 30 other coins are stable, well, it won't have much impact on your portfolio.

If you like risk, decrease the number of different coins you hold.

The answer is just about your risk aversion ... and the number of projects that seem attractive to you !
But I would say around 10 altcoins is fine.

As of today I was holding 10+ coins, altcoins and tokens. I just do it because I think when digital currencies make noise in the future I have reserved coins. Aside on that I just want to prepared it because I believe that paper cash will be change by digital currency sooner, as of now many people are using debit card and other digital currency. Looking forward that time will come all currencies will become digital.
