Peace not piece.
I wish to invest $100 each in top 100.

And profit is guaranteed. Wink

I am not sure if you are being serious, but this is a terrible idea. Look at the performance of the index on http://alt19.com/. It uses a similar methodology as you and it has lost about 95% of its value.

Not sure what its telling?

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
On the one hand, I would like to diversify due to volatility, but on the other hand, how many of these are actually going to survive? Eventually are we going to have 1 cryptocurrency that is fast, secure, anonymous, can handle smart contracts, and so on, and there will be no reason to use anything else?
It is easy to tell coins that are going to survive, coinmarketcap and coingecko is still the best guides on coins that are likely to survive because of comunity support and trading volume,I have stakes on 20 coins on the top 40 coins in the coinmarketcap..

Investing in ETH and XMR is enough for me. Active development and interesting technology. DASH is a marketing joke, Zcash based on "trusted setup".

XMR and ETH are here to stay, others come and go (and usually take your money with them).

I am a bit retarded but if you look at the numbers the amount of green is way higher than red?

I currently have 2.

If I was investing properly in the crypto space and not just playing around with a bit of spare change I would probably have at least 20, and some of that would be small amounts of money in tiny market cap cryptos in the hope one of them goes up 1000x.

How many cryptocurrencies do you invest in?

5-7.

diversification is everything when it comes to investing, period. for people relying on (or believing) in bitcoin alone is foolish... i've used bitcoin profits to buy/hedge other alt's, and have had insane returns doing so. i always sell a % when a pump happens to recoup principle, then reinvest into something else. some alt's i'm long term, others i play by ear.

I think this is a rhetorical question.

How is this a rhetorical question? The majority of ppl on this sub-forum trade. So everyone is already making decisions on it.

Yes we had that 1 crypto currency that you had mentioned already that is fast, secure and anonymous. But it's up to you on how you are going to see those coins survive, I suggest that just go with the most popular coins and has an history of pump and dump. People will pump that again when the price is dump.

I wish to invest $100 each in top 100.

This is what I'm wishing to do too.

I would wait out simply because the price of all the major alt coins have touched the all time high valuation and i am sure i wanted to risk anything now with it,i would really hold out and let the prices settle and then i would make a decision on what to do next ,until then i will stick with bitcoin.

I think this is a rhetorical question. U can buy some alt ( for expample ETH) on 100% of the deposit and forgot about risk diversification , than sell all u coins when this alt make x2 or more if u have steel balls Grin. Or u can buy 10 shicoins on 10% of u deposit and look how someone grow and someone down, mb after 2-3 month u can make some profit or no) I think that the major thing why u must buy or sell some shitcoins - is Chart, and if chart tell u that this coin make x2 after 2-3 weeks - u must buy it, and if u see 2 or more chart where shitcoin on the bottom u can buy all of them) For example 3 weeks ago 80% of alts stay at the bottom and if u buy it, u now you would be rich Grin

Very hard to predict which coins might survive in future. I don't think we will end up using just a single coin, we are entering into a future where we will get use many tokens/coins which will offer various functions than just store value. It can be ownership, dividends or for other functions. I think it best to get into Dapp tokens such as ICN, SNGLS, GOLEM, DCT, ETH, ETC and many more. Diversify and book profits when you get some good returns.
