The stupidest thing to do when you want to join the ICO is to sell your car or personal property. The risks of ICO and IEO are very large. You will lose your money in just a blink of an eye if the project you choose turns out to be a scam. You must be wise in determining your goals. Don't use your personal capital or sell a car to join ICO and IEO. But if you really believe that the project is good and can be profitable, that's your choice.
The quality of projects where you are taking part means absolutely nothing. Much more important parameter is the quality of chosen projects, because with one shot, you can make yourself rich and by taking part in 100 bad IEOs/ICOs, you will only lose money.
It's possible with careful analysis on the project we are investing, though we can never guarantee that a project will succeed, at least with our effort done before risking our money, we will not regret even if it will fail. I would always agree that quality over quantity is more important here as this market itself are even telling us that only few number of projects are legit, the rest are just scams.

I don't if you're telling the truth or not but that's the funniest thing i've ever heard and you didn't even think first on investing your money to bitcoin or altcoins that has more potential to increase their price in the future.

I think, he thought to invest in ICO / IEO because he had seen an increase of up to hundreds of percent when the tokens of the ICO / IEO were listed in a market. in general, it is natural to think like that, because I am also currently waiting for a project that is truly quality. Did you know investing nowadays are very risky because of some fake projects involved, especially through IEO!? Make some research first pal because there's no way you can refund your money once you put it on that both investments option. If i were you invest in BTC for your safety and to assured that you can make big profits. some fake IEO projects are alive, but there are many good IEO projects too. for example binance IEO
BTC is downtrend now after hit $ 13000 in this year, it is possible to get lower
so, those are why i say that both are same high risk

Did you know investing nowadays are very risky because of some fake projects involved, especially through IEO!? Make some research first pal because there's no way you can refund your money once you put it on that both investments option. If i were you invest in BTC for your safety and to assured that you can make big profits. 
I don't join yet in any ICO or IEO, but I'm eyeing before to invest in HiveNet, I think there are still in presale, I might consider investing here once it's tradeable since I've been investing only in top alts this year for some additional holdings as the market is still in bear and investing in new projects is really risky.

Honestly I only invested a few times in ico or ieo, and even then in a very small amount of investment, I made the investment after several reviews of whether the project was to be good or not, but even so I didn't want to invest in ico or ieo with the amount of money which is a lot, because of course it's very risk. I only follow my bounty campaign whether its IEO or ICO. I invested on ICO before and its my last time cause my first investment give me bad experience invested 1000$ but i only get 500$ in return.

If you can afford to sell the car just for investing in the IEOs, then it is your full responsibility to check the investment management rules. What will happen if you can't take the initial investment amount from the coin you invested after getting listed? It will be a horror movie in your life, your chances of recovering the funds will be zero from my experience. Is my decision right?

wow, a very brave decision I guess! to be honest, I have invested in IEO but, not money for urgent purposes. because IEO or ICO is very risky. very different in 2017 where most ICO was successful and could be sold so as to generate profits many times over. I personally will not brave to take such a decision. Hope you're lucky!
Some ICO are still valuable and worth to invest, and even the price are trash right now there are some coins that have potential to rise in the future. I'm following XCARD, Agareum, and idap.io. i think these ICOs are good and with great team management i'm sure it will be a promising tokens in the future

You can also share us what Ieo you have been invested for it. Because many of them are scam and not profitable always, as you can see its not good for now to take a risk and selling your stuff to invest in Ieo.
