Ahh yeah, it's never fun to get scammed. I myself just got out of the blackfriday signature campaign, the scamming one. There's not much I can do than to get over it and move on to better things.
I think, majority of scams this year occurred from bitcoinblackfriday.info's phishing scam! Innocent Buyers need to be more aware of double checking the website URLs before buying anything with Bitcoins as it's non refundable!
Those guys should be punished. I can't believed they would use such a big event for bitcoin for egocentric reasons.
I hope someone catches them.

If people would do their own due diligence, this wouldn't be an issue. If some stranger on the street came up to you in a cloak and said "If you give me $300, I'll give you $600 in stuff. Just let me have a few days and I'll get back to you" would you do it? If not, you shouldn't do it online, either.
You're right but in the end whenever you spend BTC, you will have to trust someone and most of the time it will be a stranger online, either that be a service provider, escrow, product website or else how will you spend your btc?
Maybe as some of the exchanges/service providers are asking for KYC from the customers, the customers should ask for more legal information about them and get it verified somehow before using their services and so if they decide to fraud, you can atleast file a legal complaint about them. And maybe that'll stop some of these scams if not all. Without some kind of regulation, this is just getting too easy for these fuckers.
There are plenty of publicly-known entities running BTC-related businesses. Would you go buy a new set of speakers from a guy at midnight just standing on the corner with a sign? Probably not. So don't do it online.

man its painful to see these scams happen as they really hurt bitcoin's reputation and image. The average Joe that just got into btc from the recent hype is going to have a sour taste in his mouth if his first experience with bitcoin is getting scammed.

You really have to watch your back always when you use Bitcoin. There are every where scammers here. Hope they get once caught and get what they deserve. Lucky me I did not spent anything on Black Friday.
Regret always comes last. Maybe the lesson for this for people is to not subscribe to those 'deals' lists. Even if it's legitimate, most of it are spammed with affiliate links here and there. Plus the fact that he used a .info domain - one of the cheapest to buy - is a bit fishy.

..... Badbitcoin.org is actually a scam support site in itself. They list scams, sure, but they also promote others like GAW / Paycoin. It is a Payola type of filthy scam operation. Pay and you get a good review. Don't pay and you get blacklisted. Please do not support this fucking scam artist (Vic of Badbitcoin).

ViK/Badbitcoin being Garza's bitch is quite well documented. Exactly what payment (quantity) was made to Vik for supporting that blatant and obvious fraud scheme along with others like Scryptcc is not known to me. In the case of Paycoin, it seems that he was in fact paid with the same, which is why he became such a rabid cheerleader for Garza and his fraud scheme, including being involved in the criminal targeting and harassment of Coinfire and Mike Johnson- which is rumored to be having some criminal action from the Feds soon. Here is some reading material for you to learn about Badbitcoin. Believe whatever you want, of course. Somewhere in the GAW/Garza thread are all of Vics ridiculous cheerleader posts promoting Paycoin if you want some laughs.

Come on, he was promoting the website all around the forum with his signature campaign and social campaign, who would've thought that he is going to turn into a scam?
I didn't buy anything luckily but all of the sig campaign participants didn't receive their last payment so that's a lost also

Sorry for your loss buddy. I wasn't scammed and no body I know got scammed but I did saw the warning above on the forum and saw the thread and some people did fell into the trap because like you they were too eager to grab the best deals. Feel bad for them as it was their hard earned/saved funds I guess one has to be more careful during special occasions like this and next would be Xmas.
I really hope you catch them and put them behind bars and set an example so others think twice before scamming.

I will not reveal the info now, because I do not want to spoil the surprise for the scammers. I want them to think that they got away with it. If I say something now, they might
start covering their tracks. I just felt like posting something to warn people against our own behavior on days like this. Those "too good to be true" deals are probably just
that. The usual red flags does not go up, when you rushing to buy something cheap, within one day. The regret comes afterward, when you start thinking it through.
I will get my guys to take some photo's, when they arrested and then post it on here. It's about time we put some faces to these scammers. {This will happen after they have
been found guilty in a court.. we not allowed to post photo's of innocent people in the media... there is still something like.. innocent until proven guilty.}
None. It's quite interesting how people don't realize that they're sending huge amounts of money with a single click. You have to be careful and this is not a problem with Bitcoin (you don't enter CC details on random sites either). Just double check the links when you proceed. Bought from ledger, gyft and a few others without problems (real ones).
