2025 is still far away, if I predict Bitcoin in 2025 it will be sad if it can't be achieved,
For sure, I'm focused on recovering from this bearish season, because I'm already -90% of my capital.
if I feel my capital is back then I will think about 2025.

From now I am also leaving my own prediction in the next 10 years to come for bitcoin to $1m and above that is to say by 2043, I believe if there is life we'll live to witnessed it. I can see many people who made their predictions aren't active to come back here to see what they said about the bitcoin price how it's performing currently.
But I also believe the impact of the halving on price could be lower than any future halving cycle. The main reason is because people are just getting easier to take advantage of cycles for big profits and leave the market after.

That is why I never wanted to over exaggerate on the price which I know the likelihood of price getting to $1m is so uncertain but yet we know there is every possibility to achieve it. As you said people are taking the advantage of the halving to maximize the profitability which in turns after which comes a serious dump.
I was actually wanting to say by 2033 this might likely happened, which is 10 years from now.

I was shocked to see this thread was revived after 10 years of its creation, truly this is how people don't place value on bitcoin because they aren't foreseeing what would happened next within the crypto space, I believe there were people who had the chances to accumulate thousands of it but never paid attention to its growth. If they were told about price getting ~70k dollars as ATH i don't think they would had believed such person and its predictions.
Lol, I actually thought that this was a new thread created by newbie in June 2023, but it turns out to be an old thread that is 10 years old. So of course it was an old prediction, but I'm sure at the time $69k was does not make sense value to think about for ATH. But then everything changed and bitcoin has proven that what seems difficult can become real, especially when it comes to price.

From now I am also leaving my own prediction in the next 10 years to come for bitcoin to $1m and above that is to say by 2043, I believe if there is life we'll live to witnessed it. I think $1 million will probably be hit in less than 10 years from now, and could be before 2030. I'm just really curious about how much bitcoin's ATH will be after the 2024 halving, but if it's 4x from the 2021 ATH, then surely $1m can be expected after halving 2028. But I also believe the impact of the halving on price could be lower than any future halving cycle. The main reason is because people are just getting easier to take advantage of cycles for big profits and leave the market after.

Zero,sure!

After 10 years, the outcome is completely different as predicted by this mate. Bitcoins have astonished the whole world by this amazing all time high price of 69k usd. If we see exactly now after 10 years then Bitcoins are at strong 30k usd price segment. This proves that how people underestimated Bitcoins and now the results are completely different. I am assuming in the next 10 years Bitcoins will become even more valuable and will touch the sky with high prices.

I mean 2033 instead of 2043

Once a man, twice a child!
If it is still here by then, there is extremely high probability that the price will be over 10,000.  I would say that it would even be 100,000 by then.

My guess is that at 12 years later from now one single coin shall be sufficient to buy you a top-grade riverside apartment suite like this. A lad said that at that time we shall all be wealthy elites sure as hell!  Grin

I think those two users are likely going to be right with their prediction. We're barely two years away from 2025 and already the second speculation of what 1 Bitcoin could buy is fulfilled. At the last ATH in 2021, a single Bitcoin could buy that seaside apartment. I share in the sentiment that Bitcoin will get to $120k – $150k in its next ATH in 2025. My thought is this, if there were people who saw tomorrow ten years ago and believed that Bitcoin could get this high; did they buy enough to hodl?

The price of Bitcoin now will be really nothing when 2025 will come, I remember it before when we first peaked at around $20,000 all-time high around 2017 -2018.

I believe that it will be repeated at different prices which I believe it's another all-time high above $60,000. So for me, it's worth the wait, you just need to accumulate until this year will come.

Many people think that the price of bitcoins will sky rocket. Personally I think it will remain constant at between 200 and 400 USD.
However there will always be sudden changes in prices!
one anything about Bitcoin price is that it's unpredictable so whosoever that is predicting the price of bitcoins should know that the price is not constant or stagnant, I don't depends or rely on speculations of bitcoins I just follow what the market gives in cryptocurrency market, i believe that so many do not believe also in speculation, bitcoin is something I know quite well that it move up and down and it doesn't have a specific base, the price of bitcoins can be at 200 dollars and after some times it will increase to 500 dollars, it's the nature of cryptocurrency market, the market is not dependable and predictable it fluctuate

There are some replies that is bullish and will possibly happen or at least nearer to the possible actual price. My guess is around $160k+ for the Bitcoin ATH (somewhere in the last quarter of 2024) but this guy ↓↓↓ beats me in terms of optimism, and its is a no brainer that Bitcoin will be more valuable after 10 year.

$200,000 +

This is some of the threads that is worth reading again since this thread shows how people used to think about Bitcoin market and their prediction and may give us hints of possible things that might happen in Bitcoin market.

Why because of the MtGox fuss?
The markets are just adjusting to bitstamp and coinbase.
When business fail they don't get a hand out. That's how the free market looks like friendo.

Bitcoin will have the same fade as Linux. Superior in its field in just about every aspect, put not going anywhere,

People are using Linux in their Android devices everyday without even knowing it.

I think at some point in time most money transactions will be over this kind of coin protocol, or at least a large portion.

A lot of gold, by 2025 fiat currencies will be a joke and a mistake we tell our children about.

This  ^

In 2025 what will $1 be worth or will it even exist? If it does exist it will have changed, ie been backed by gold or something.

The US dollar is losing its reserve status around the world. Other countries are already beginning to avoid it in favour of other currencies or gold swaps, sanctions against Iran failed spectacularly. Obama failed to invade Syria and disrupt new oil pipelines. US petro dollar looks to be dying.

It is quite possible the US dollar will hyperinflate before 2025 as confidence is lost in it. Perhaps a new 'Amero' currency mirroring the Euro will be brought in by the globalists after the death of the dollar.

It is much more likely that fiat currency will be dead by then than bitcoins

By 2025 I hope one BTC is enough to pay off my mortgage (if I still have it then).  I agree with many other posters that one BTC will be worth either a lot, or absolutely nothing well before 2025.  For bitcoin to grow it must move beyond drugs, gambling, and highly speculative investing as the main drivers of its value.

FYI over the course of 12 years, given a 4% annual inflation rate (officially it's much lower but say for the sake of argument) that compounds to 60%.
Even with 10% that would be "just" 214%, so even if you say that for some reason inflation starts to rise dramatically this can not account for anything. But to the contrary to libertarian doomsday preachers every evidence points to decreasing inflation rates, in some cases even deflation.
I've found no evidence which would suggest inflation rates above 10% in any sector, if you think you have some post it. But keep in mind, facts will be checked and wacko sites ignored.

Yes adjusted for inflation you may decide to hold to maintain your purchasing power.  However, most investors/traders are not convinced the price will go up or down.  They give it a probability.  For example, suppose hypothetically that I think there is a 50% chance bitcoin will be over $1000 by 2025 so I allocate a portion of my investment fiat to bitcoin, yet I have the ability to purchase more.

Thats the point. The chance that bitcoin is worth exactly $123 in 2025 is close to zero. Heck, the chance its that tomorrow is pretty small. But the aggregate off all the expected probabilities of bitcoin investors currently averages to $123. Thats a much more meaningful number than a poll on this forum.

I dont know what it will be in 2025, but I can tell you fairly exactly what the current consensus is of what it will be:
 $123 (excl inflation).

THink about it, anyone convinced it would be way higher would buy more, anyone thinking it would be way lower would sell.
The current price is an exact reflection of what we all combined think it will be worth in the future. A much better indicator than your poll.

Anyone expecting $123 in 2025 would most likely sell, causing prices to drop, and buy something they expected to be higher in the future...  I know I would.

$123 adjusted for inflation. Your reasoning also doesnt make a lot of sense, are people selling gold when they expect gold to remain stable compared to an inflation adjusted dollar? Are they not buying government bonds anymore that barely keep pace with inflation?

Yes adjusted for inflation you may decide to hold to maintain your purchasing power.  However, most investors/traders are not convinced the price will go up or down.  They give it a probability.  For example, suppose hypothetically that I think there is a 50% chance bitcoin will be over $1000 by 2025 so I allocate a portion of my investment fiat to bitcoin, yet I have the ability to purchase more.
