Since you plan to hold for a long time I don't have much to discuss. I agree that it is a good decision. Money in the bank is usually bad money as they will devalue to 50% in a few years. Now about stocks I'd have to tell you that Buffet has hundreds of billions in cash, waiting for a crash in order to buy. That's what he is doing and thats how money works. Buy the blood in the streets. 10 years bull run seriously? What I see happening right now is panic buying and a huge bubble. There are even youtubers that bet huge amounts on Robinhood and trade live having thousands of people watching. This is a definite bubble. I got out of stocks one year ago before the small pullback and my stocks recovered and are at double top lately. I won't waste a dollar for these overvalued stocks.

I recently purchased bitcoin, it was the most I have ever put into a cryptocurrency.
This is going to be a long term buy, This was taken out of stock money,
Now that I have done this I feel more excited about
where bitcoin is headed than  I do about stocks. Now I feel like I should take more out of
Stocks, Feel there’s going to be more return this way. Thoughts on this am I getting carried away

Buying a bitcoin  is one thing and holding it as a long term investment asset is another thing. You should understand that knowledge and understanding are the key elements in investing in bitcoin.  I will advise that you should try and gain knowledge and understanding about the entire bitcoin market and its ecosystem. With this, you will understand the true value and purpose of bitcoin..

Thanks Everyone this has been very helpful, I just wanted to think through it. the next small buy I might by ETHEREUM or litecoin slowly start buying more.

A very unwise decision. Bitcoin is solid and can be hold long term, the others? Not so much. If you are a high risk short term experienced trader, you might get some profit from these highly risk altcoins, but as in most tradings, 90% lose.

I agree with balancing stocks with Bitcoin investments, that is fine. You can add traditional assets like metals/minerals, or even some forex if you feel riskier, its your portfolio after all... But with altcoins? Expect loses and loses and loses for years to no end. Only rarely they might spike (or you could have luckily bought a dip before a spike).

I think it is a good investment since you said that it is for a long term invesment,
However you should also consider the risk and don't get too carried away Bitcoin price fluctuates unpredictedly.
You could always make some profit or lose your money on it so you should think about it carefully.

Well, I think there's nothing wrong with that as a matter of fact it is the right thing to do, however, much better if you will use the amount of money you can afford to lose remember, the market is full of surprises. Anyway, buying Bitcoin now and hold it for a long time could be the best option you choose due to the fact that Bitcoin will rise again and will become greater as it before way back in 2017.
That is exactly what he needs to do, he should think of how much money he can afford to risk in this investment. OP should set aside getting excited since he might make a rush decision and invest right away.
It is a good decision, even there is no guarantee of profit, his chance to make a profit is high and his possible profit is much higher than stocks.
I think the OP's decision is good because he realizes that investing in cryptocurrency or bitcoin always provides a good and profitable return, and it seems like he has learned it and chose to invest in the long term to avoid worries because bitcoin is very volatile.
and the most important thing is that you must have strong patience before achieving what you want even though it takes a long time to produce maximum results.
One thing that i notice on OP is that he's like expecting too much and is too excited about of where his investment would be going. This could lead to an over excitement that may lead to a stressful time to keep looking at the price of the market. I hope OP doesn't expect too much in this market because the bull market is not happening yet.

I actually think it’s a very good time to buy. We are just a few months away from the next halving. I think there will be a significant price increase leading up to the halving and the increase will probably continue for a long time after that.

Remember that the current price is one-third of the all time high so there is plenty of room for a move up.

Having a portfolio of Altcoins is recommended but never go above 70-30 ratio.. Keep 70% of your money in Bitcoin and the time and do your own research before investing into any alt.

i appreciate you decision and i think bitcoin halving will start soon.now i'm also recommend all to buy bitcoin, because now bitcoin price is cheap.
Why do you think Bitcoin is cheap now? If compared with 2018, the price of bitcoin is now more than 2 times more expensive, so in fact in the coming months, the price of bitcoin may drop at any time.
I do not recommend investing in bitcoin at this stage because the market situation is not clear, it is best to be patient and wait for Christmas to end. The end of January or February 2020 is a good time for us to think about buying bitcoin and holding

You are doing just fine, since you have been investing in stock I assume that you are aware how the market works. The only difference is the crypro market is more volatile than stock market. Just be patient, if you can hold for a long-term purpose, you can surely make the most out of your investment.

Investing in cryptocurrency was surely a risk, we cannot be sure of a profit since it was a digital cash,
The higher the amount of invested surely the higher the profit you are going to get and vice versa. For a long term investment in my opinion this is still one of the best investment but it will take a long time to get a profit. I think in investing bitcoin we already know that it is a big risk to put your money and invest it in bitcoin since it is a digital cash you should just invest the money that you could afford to lose. Investing in bitcoin was just like a gamble to your money but still when the right analysis and research a lot of time you could easily make profit in this investment unlike gambling which is completely have a fair method of winning.

In investing you should not let your emotions get you a lot of people already make a big mistakes in this kind of investment since a lot of people a just getting hype in the market when the price of bitcoin is pumping and that's the time that they keep on investing in bitcoin and when the market is dumping a lot of investors are losing its hope in bitcoin.

You can buy bitcoin as much as you can, but you should know how much money you want to use for investing in bitcoin. You don't need to use all of your money to invest in bitcoin, especially if you cannot get a low price because bitcoin can be at a low price anytime. You can analyze more to find that low price so you can buy bitcoin directly. Don't forget to stay calm if you see bitcoin price is down, and you can buy more bitcoin if that is happening. You should hold tight your bitcoin if you want to use bitcoin as a long term investment because you will see the fluctuating of the bitcoin price.
The allocation of your funds is something that you need to plan carefully. You cannot invest all of your money after all. Studying financial literacy can help us to solve that problem. If you are financial literate then you can invest the right money at the right price. Just invest something that you are prepared to lose. There are risks after all so it is really better to study and make a plan properly about the allocation of your capital.

I think if you are good in stock, you can do both in investment. Both investment with big capital will be better than bigger in 1 and smaller in 1 since bitcoin investment and stock trading is little different investment. If me i will split it balanced especially if i good at stock. But i am not good at anything so currenctly i am only do bitcoin investment.

How much you want to buy,  when you to buy, it all depends on you, because the cryptocurrency is unpredictable. For investing in Cryptocurrencies  there is no guarantee how much you get in return . Do not ask any suggestion here. Think and research on your own and decide whether to invest or not.  but holding bitcoin for long term you get 100% profit.

I do have a financial plan. I’m actually using the money from Stocks that I was taking risk with.
So this is why I was good with cryptocurrency. I know the risk of it.  I just wonder what would
Be enough in one coin.
Maybe I should spread it around and put it in other coins.

actually, people will buy bitcoin often if they have enough money and their daily neede for some year is not distrubed. bitcoin is good for long term. but, im not sure for altcoin, i know if there some coin have potential to grow, but they are like wait for bitcoin orice to growing up. so, the best option is put money on bitcoin
That's for sure especially now that we are seeing the adoptions is continuous so Bitcoin is really something that we are aiming to have right now. Bitcoin is just like a gold that you are aiming to have as much as you could as you  know that the price of it, although not certain is possibly will rise as the more users are adopting it.
