I don't think even that much percentage people can become millionaire from gambling but they may be lucky and might win some money from gambling. But if they continue playing like that then surely at the end they will lose all their money in gambling it self. So I don't think any one can earn and live with gambling.

Sports betting doing nice job for me because i am getting good profit with this and my average daily earning around $10-$15. 
Yes in gambling one can make some profits means from sports betting only but now a days these games also spoiled with match fixings but still they can't fix all kinds of games so one can still try to make some profits out of sports betting. But I always bet very small amounts on each game.

i think it is all about you like you can win 1000% a day or you can make 1% profit in other day there is no fixed amount to earn in gambling and you can lose all too 
but you can make a strategie to play in one week and make a rule for you to when you stop and you will have a great result at the end of the week
