The effect is neutral to zilch. Did anyone expect them to say anything else? The message all along has been very consistent and the latest White House press conference has been more of the same - it's risky, let's keep up the regulatory stuff, don't be naughty.

2,000 USD price drop. Nothing much. Tether still has 300million to pump overtime without having to print more.

I think President Trump's comments have brought Bitcoin into the minds of a much larger audience. Since he is the most popular Tweeter in the world whatever he Tweets reaches a whole lot of people. He only tweeted a few things too yet it is significant. At the same time, he takes a very old school slant on all of this new technology. Before we even know it, everything we ever knew will be tied to this new technology. This technology is way bigger than Trump. He should adapt a better stance about Bitcoin, for the people of the United States and for everyone and everything all around the world.

People ordinarily don't care what the president says, but traders will respond by selling and coming back to buy the dip. We all know the president is a billionaire and cares more about the dollar though which is part of his responsibility.

From my view till date it isn't assured whether the comments from the president has caused any form of hurt to it or any praising. In simple terms what has happend is just a time to realize and the tweet has helped lot of people to have an eye over bitcoin which he could've never heard before.

There are some people saying that investors from financial institutions already entered the cryptocurrency market. When Trump tweeted, maybe they saw it as a warning and sold their bitcoins. It's a possible scenario.

When he tweeted it, there was no effect on price whatsoever. There are probably other reasons for current dump, and not that tweet.
Ofcourse it won’t effect immediately because that is domino effect.

The impact took days before we finally feel in our folio.but Bitcoin is struggling now to come back to $11,000 now so I think the Hurt that you are asking is just temporary and will be gone soon

Donald Trump: I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin is currently hovering just over $10000.
These sort of correction are temporary and the price was rallying for a long time and this is not a big obstacle and remember the price of bitcoin rallied 200% this year alone and $10k is not a small amount and i never expected the market to recover and rally like this in the first place and so the price right now is high for everyone to purchase an entire bitcoin. The market will rally again and with halving coming up and since i am a bitcoin enthusiast there is no doubt that the price of bitcoin will break the all time high valuation in the coming year Wink.

Heh, well I'm not a fan of Trump either Wink

You know what, this is actually good. Can you imagine what would have happened if Trump said he loved Bitcoin? He is old and rich, old and rich people tend to think alike. Don't look at the past, look at the future. Look at Elon Musk not Buffet or Trump...

Why we need to take his statement in a negative way? In my opinion, any sort of publicity is good for an emerging currency such as Bitcoin. And in this incident, the president of the United States has acknowledged the existence of Bitcoin. Can we ask for anything better? I don't know how much impact can his statement have on the prices. But we just got a huge amount of free advertising.

it is his opinion, people should not panic because of this, if they enter panic because of this, it shows that they should not be in that market. If somebody goes the fight must be prepared for everything that happens. What becomes ridiculous in the crypto world is to see people today saying: "bitcoin is strong, will bring freedom, I believe in bitcoin" and when they read some twitter donald trump do these people panic? this is disgraceful

Bitcoin is currently hovering just over $10000.

it's a normal fall

I don't think the market reacts that much on such comments from public figures, even if it's Trump.
That said, if those comments contain some indication towards future regulatory aspects, then I would suspect the market reacting negatively.

Public figures say stuff for and against Bitcoin all the time, happens way too frequently to have any effect IMO.
I could be wrong though.

Donald trump only loves to be part of the news, and cameras, he loves this thing that his dump face appears on google every time, every second. and I am sure no one cares his dump statements regarding bitcoin or another crypto, I believe crypto is the future.

There is trouble abrewing
i wouldn't worry about it or even connect any market activities to it as long as bitcoin is doing what it was doing before this tweet even came out. and that was to fluctuate between $10k and $13k in this $3000 range as the $13k is becoming the resistance that was tried twice already and remains unbroken and $10k has become this strong buy support that is tested 3 times already and remains unbroken.
with or without this tweet we would have been in the same place, maybe a little less fear in the market, that's all.

Bisq Market Day - March 20th 2023
I believe that's not related to him at all. Everybody knows why he is just ignoring cryptocurrencies...
We all know why he actually ignore cryptocurrency but there's nothing he can do to stop the cryptocurrency. Either cryptocurrency is backed by tin air or not we don't care, but come to think about this, "what about the US dollars? ". They USA will come to the business but maybe too late for them to embrace the technology, but definitely they will do.

President's tweeting about bitcoin will have a effect definitely, but it will be just short term. So no worries and don't be bother by the sudden dip. I would say it's normal to see some personalities attack bitcoin and causing the price to go down, but it wouldn't last that long. Probably by the end of the week we're back to $11k-$12k.

I would not be so sure, because the leader of one of the biggest economies in the world critisizing a crypto currency can and will have a certain impact on the value. No doubt about it. Might scare pootential buyers away for good.

The tweet about Trump on Bitcoin didn't reach to me until now only meams that it wasn't really news worthy at all. It didn't cause any kind of FUD in the market since Trump is not what a lot of people follow in the internet especially when he have created a whole lot of controversy when he banned and then unban Huawei phones in the U.S. market. Bottomline is his tweet is meaningless and BTC correcting is bound to happen after a few weeks of a good bull run.

Nothing, really, and if anything, the price reached a peak of $11700 that day he tweeted that, and a day after, that's when the price went down. There could be other factors to the drop in price but it's certainly not Trump's tweet of dislike regarding bitcoin. Jamie Dimon has been constantly shitting about bitcoin on 2018 but no significant price crashes happened. Instead, price remained stagnant until the miracle pump of April 1, 2019 and the rest is history. A simple tweet won't do much at this day and age, though it can still sweep market sentiments but perhaps not to the point that the change would be drastic and noticeable, IMO.
