what makes you think the price will make a $700 jump from $500 this year to $1200 next year? would be nice to get some sort of explanation of what will trigger the price to increase massively.

I'd voted $600, because it was the closest number to my choice for this year, which is around $550. Expecting a $1000 price for bitcoin is far too energetic for the current factors, even with the halving, and though $800 is possible, I suspect that it will be unlikely to happen. I do not think that the price will fall, however it will also not rise to extreme levels like some are predicting.

It's hard to make that kind of prediction. I think there will be a gradual rise but there could still short term drops and increases along the way.

in one year i think it will reach 600-800$ because for now the raising is constant and i hope to stay like that bitcoin is in a good way and i wish that it will stay like that the price will grow or maybe it will be a great peak soon who nows and reach 1000$

But I think we should have to expect that much price in the month of halving and after that no one knows that the price will be stable or will increase more if it remain stable then at the end we can say it will be at $1000 and if it continued to increase then there are chances of $1500 or more

1k is not real for this and next year i think, maybe in 2 years bitcoin will reach 1k$ but now i think max value will stop on 650$ for 1 btc.

I voted for $800, too. I think the positive media and development of Bitcoin will hold on. Further, the halving will bring advantages in price development. I personally think we will see new price highs in the next two years (means $1100 and above).

$800 is achievable by the end of the year and we will see much higher price in next year as more user adaption will take bitcoin to a higher level.

I think its really hard to get near 1000$ again like extremely hard .... when bitcoin explode in 2013 dec the amount of people know about it increase with hundreds times including me more and more smart people and new investors who are in for the profit only then that make moving up in price really hard unless someone with a lot of money want it to go there, you should add 400 $ there in poll

After voting I saw that I vote like majority. 800 $ is reasonable prediction for btc price for exactly one year from now. I would be satisfied with less, but I always was optimistic about btc price.

There is more then one good reason for price rise on 800 $, I hope there will be even more good news in future, so I would not be surprised even if bitcoin price go over 800 $. I guess we will have to wait and see, and in meanwhile to work and give our best for that to happen.
