One bitcoin is worth the amount that the other person is willing to give to acquire that one bitcoin. You will see that not only in two countries but also in two exchanges there is a different price. This follows a simple law of demand and supply does there is no fix pricing policy. The law of demand and supply says that when demand increases price also increases and when demand falls the price also falls. So if you are living in the Philippines then you will see the rate which other citizens or Bitcoin is users in your country are willing to pay in order to acquire Bitcoin. Remember, the rate won't be similar to the international exchange because the demand and supply in your country might not be the same on a global level as compared to that of in your country.

There is not a specific or standard price for bitcoins. Prices varies and it flactuaates base on demand and supply, mining difficulties, traders speculations and positive and negative news are all some of the factors that affect the price of bitcoins. As I am writing this post bitcoins is trading between $11800 to $12000 across exchanges.

Bitcoin WAS worth 1 million Philippine pesos more than a month ago. It's currently down to $11,773.90(approx ₱590,000). You can check the prices via sites like coinmarketcap[1] or livecoinwatch[2]. Cryptocurrencies are very volatile. Prices are expected to rise and crash a lot; and mostly unexpectedly.

I checked coinmarketcap.com and it seems it is a reliable site. I also found a mobile app and seems legit so I downloaded it.

If you need to know in some other currency - you can always convert and check the rate at https://currencio.co

The correct answer is that 1 Bitcoin is worth what someone will give you for it.  Wink

I usually get the price from coin market cap. Keep in mind prices are different in different exchanges which is why it's possible to make arbitrage trades in this market at the moment. The difficult part is being able to have an account to sell or buy at another exchange with a large price difference.

At this moment, it's about $11,500. It's changing all the time so you'll have to be consistently checking.

Good luck  Smiley

Power usage is also interesting.

Today for 1 btc must be worth a lot of power used.
