I have a mediocre amount of money left over from my jobs, but it isn't anything special. A bit more than some of the responses I'm reading in this thread.

I live in the US so the cost of living is high, however jobs are equally valuable (typically), so there might be some good things coming from that. I wish I earned more on average, though.
That's everyone's dream to have a better income so we ca live a decent life, you are even lucky you are living in the US where pay is good and food are cheap. In my case, I still have money left from my job because my wife knows how to budget well for our daily expenses. I am receiving my salary semi monthly.

At my current situation, I can't afford to save even a penny from my current salary. Now I'm working as an AC fitter and current salary is just 7k INR per month and I've to maintain my whole family. May I'll save at least 10% after my salary has increased to 10k+ per month.
that is a really low wage dude hope you will be successful and why dont you try for another job ,how are you managing with a salary of around $100 and that too you are claiming that you have a family to feed.since you are an old member how helpful is bitcoin to you

Not much, I'm afraid. My current job is not so well paid so when I cover my expenses maybe 5 or 10% could be saved. It's not much but I'm aware that some people don't have even that because they are hardly able to cover living expenses because of poverty.

Living in some countries with $833 salary a month can not be enough because the renting of houses or flats are very expensive and the life standard is high which makes the income of people to be higher too.

Living in Western Europe, $833 is nearly just the cost of your house that you either pay as rent, or as mortgage. And then you only did that. You still have all other costs that you have to pay for. Especially a difficulty in the times where prices of goods only go up.

If I look at myself, then I solidly keep 30% of my salary as being savings. In previous years I could easily have 35-40% of my salary moved to my savings, but just because everything has gone up in price, different tax policies, I am only able to have the percentage sit at 30%. And that while I am doing exactly the same with my money as I have always done.

The eurozone standard has been increased too much recently and the living expenses has been increased drammatically comparing with a decade or more ago. That's why $800 does not have the same value around the world, I try also to save 30% of my total income but it's not easy.

I wonder how you manage a family with 7k INR in a month and still you manage to save 10% of it, because in my case i have no jobs as i'm a student and whatever i earn are the bitcoins and even my earned bitcoins in a month are higher than your salary but still if i had responsibilities i would not have been able to save anything out of it.

Whatever I earn from my day job goes to paying mortgages, electricity, water, food and medicine. Almost all of my salary goes to expenses. Luckily bitcoin gave me a chance to earn some extra income on my free hours. Bitcoin is now my savings account.

Well, I don't think it's standard to own / rent an entire house for just a single person. In most countries of Western Europe you can live from $833 as a single person if you can scale down your demands a little bit. You can easily rent an apartment for less than $400, than you have more than $400 left for insurances and food, which is sufficient to live a healthy life if you compare prices. If you have a girlfriend/wife that also earns that much and you two live together, you can live pretty comfortably as fixed costs tend to be lower if you share (a larger) space / energy.

For me, being able to keep 30% of your salary is luxury. I can only save about half of that. But I'm free of debt and consider myself a happy person. Despite not being wealthy I enjoy life very much. That's because I don't think that consumerism is a source of satisfaction - buying things to impress others was never important to me. What counts are positive experiences and good relationships. These are for free.

I want to talk about salaries. How much $ do you have left after paying taxes, rent, and basic expenses (electricity, water)
I get $10 000/y like a fucking slave
My spending basic is $5 000 / year, including food, $2 500 without food
I live in the former SSSR
Another reason to move away

Like a slave? Don't despise your job man, there are millions of people that have a dream to have the salary $10,000 yearly, which means $833 every month, this is also based on the place people live but it's not bad 10k yearly.
You should  be thankful  regarding on your  salary because  in other countries $10k  monthly would already  be a  lot $833 per month is  no joke  already  and  i could  already  live  a  luxury  life  with  it but well  we cant really say that  because  it really depends on which  country do you  live though.

Living in some countries with $833 salary a month can not be enough because the renting of houses or flats are very expensive and the life standard is high which makes the income of people to be higher too.

That amount won't be enough in developed countries as the cost of living is too high but a person living in third would countries can live a good and comfortable life with that salary as its hard to find a job and even if you have a job your salary would not be as per your satisfactory level.
Countries must create a best regulation to support citizens for improve they life. A good way for make investors interest to open bussiness is give and guarantee for national security. Don't like in my country that security is very important. I think with bitcoin make countries to open opportunities for give peoples improve they life.

well I I'm earning as much salary as you guys in this thread are earning I'd be able to buy my own house now after working for 5 years. it's quite hard when you're from a developing country but I'm a bit thrifty when it comes to managing my salary so I can say I have a pretty decent savings in the bank
Wow this is great that you can really earn from your job and you are really pursueing that dream come true after working for 5 year's hoping that i can really do some great things in my work and then get paid as much as high are your's and i know how to manage my salary but my problem is im a jobless.

Every  one of us do have  dream regarding  on  building  our own  house, business and other  essential  things  on  our life.  Having  plans  and  goals would  really motivate us thats  why we could able to save  up  money for future and   with that  we could for sure achieve it  on short period of time  but  this would  really depend  on  what  job do you have. If you do  only  placed  on  regular  low rank  job for sure  you would really have a hard time  to  achieve  your dreams.

In my job my salaries there is only 6000 peso or 120$ a month but sad to say have no left money in my salary so its getting hard because it not enough for us that money i recieved in my job. I am very thankfull because someone told me about bitcointalk i have extra income that i earn.
Such a small amount if you live in philippines if you are still a single it is enough to live but if you have your own family and child you need to work hard because its not enough and bitcoin will be your help to finance your family...  Here in my job my salari is 18k technical support about cellphones..
It's enough because i can finance my family and my parents but the problem i am not satisfied and i don't to work for ever so collecting bitcoin is one of the way to become rich and to have a business someday with bitcoin for now savings is good way and enjoy what i had right now..
Actually it only does depend on the way how a person would live, it you are living above your means then that would bring your problem on how to manage your finances and no matter how hard you work just to increase your income it would not make you successful still because you are not living the way your should be.
Yeah it is depends also in your ways or how you manage your finances well if you can save and budget your daily needs you can live without any problem because you have a proper manage of your daily finance...
Also business is one of the good thing that can help you for your finance not only here as collector of bitcoin or altcoin.. it is other chance to have more savings just scale up your money and never spend for nothing like in gambling there is nothing we can do there we are just gamble for nothing.

While my guitar gently weeps!!!
I think it should not be about what's left of your salary, rather it should be about how much you set aside first before your expenses. I think a lot of us often commit the mistake of treating savings as something that's left after all the expenses. That won't work because expenses are endless and unless you put savings as first priority, then nothing is really going to be left after the expenses. If there's an auto debit program that you can enroll on, why not do it so that you'll develop the habit of forced savings.

If you are a family guy, it's hard to compute what will be left in you, there isn't a thing called enough salary if there are people who depend in you... Enrolling on auto debit program would force you to really put aside part of your salary... Or just accept the truth that as long as you are receiving a salary, there will be a never ending budgeting and just give  savings a share on it each time you compute...  Smiley

You mean the savings, all of us need to manage our salary well to have saving before to expense is the great thing we need to do in our salary.
Like here more of us have saving then investment savings would be our back up in our investment.
