Each is different, of course, I myself divide it into 2 accounts, for trading and investing.
Trading is investing but I guess you mean that trading is short term trading? Investing to you is long term investing? They are both investing but short term investing is riskier than long term holding depending on the altcoin but Bitcoin is definitely a better option to hold long term.

i think investing is completely different from day trading, @Gayong88 should probably be talking about investing and day trading

In my case I have separated my capital into parts, one of which is in the day trade, the other part is in the real world where I am doing business. I think diversifying investment Is investing in things on the internet and in the real world. to keep putting money in a lot of altcoins and thinking that this is diversifying investment is a mistake in my opinion.

Winding down.
Have you ever calculated how much of your total capital is in cryptocurrency?

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.

I never calculate the total capital I have because I don't think this is important. and I think calculating capital in the crypto exchange market and stock market is important because we can calculate the results of the profits we have made from trading crypto or stocks. and I have $5000 in crypto and $2000 shares.
May you never found it important but it has the sense to know if you are in profit or losing. When you are in business (not in crypto), everything is written and calculated, it is must be the same thing we have to do in crypto. To track your investment and capital is a way to know where you are now and can ask yourself, Am I winning already or I was a wreck?
Because for me, I was nearly at 50% of my target. Still have more money to fill before I reach my target.

we have different scenario, well in my case I did not invest any capital from my funds instead I do some bounty campaigns to earn cryptocurrencies and hodl it for a long term basis.
It's also good for you to do, because I also very often run such strategies in the past and also at this time, although it takes a little patience, but this method is not too dizzy to run because it does not require capital at the beginning.

I estimate would be around 20% and all of that is in Bitcoin. I do not invest in altcoins at the moment but I am on the look out for new projects all the time just in case I miss one that is worth investing in. I cannot believe the amount of scams there are and people are supporting them anyway.

I will not waste money by saving in the bank, because it is not profitable for me. I prefer to keep money in the crypto market in stable coins, and wait for the coin price to dump, and buy it. I think this method is more useful than saving money in the bank. If I need it, I will withdraw money from the exchange as I need it. Moreover, the withdrawal process is very fast, so it does not hinder what we need.

The profit you make from bounties is the one you use for trading those crypto that you've assigned for holding?

I think that's not new and that's very usual in terms of making profit out of bounties, there's assurance that a bounty hunter will replace that reward into a more worth it crypto that's good for holding.

Most of my money is in NEAR protocol. I'm staking it for over 10% APY and treat it like a high yield savings account. I am planning on living off the staking rewards in Laos.

It is important to make calculations in financial books, this is the correct investment pattern. If we don't do this, then how much money we spend will not be known, which is why it is important for us to make it.

However, I think you keep too much money in the bank, isn't this not giving you any profit, it's good to invest another 40% money, so that you can achieve passive income according to the target you have set.

The rest, in my opinion, is very appropriate, it's just that the money you save in the bank needs to be maximized again, so that your income becomes bigger and passive, although the risk is also great for investment.

I never calculate my total capital in cryptocurrency.
For me, things like you do not need me to say here. I keep only 30% capital in crypto trading. Because I am more interested in crypto trading activities.

Actually I could have done the same in that year, if my misconception about crypto was cleared earlier. Not that I would think of any losses since it is only 1% anyway plus it is net and not gross. Surely I would crap bricks when I found out that I made a lot from that 1% investment.

At these days, I only do just 80/20 and inside that 20 is also divided for crypto, not that whole 20 will be to crypto. A man is gonna need something else for his wants of course. Smiley

Bank - 80%
Crypto - 15%
Cash - 5%

Yeah, it is mostly in banks and i do only put a small percentage on crypto but doesnt mean that i wont be putting more anytime soon.

Im just re-rolling my investment and if it turns out to be profitable then that might be the time i would be adding things up.
This is personal preference because there are people who dont love to risk that much including me.
I like how you control your finances, I know for sure you believe in cryptocurrencies but you can still control yourself to follow your heart that you are not ready to take risks. If you look around us, many people do not think about this and even dare to take high risks even though they are not ready. From this incident, finally many people are emotionally disturbed because they are weak in managing finances and emotions

That is fine if you've got most of your money into the bank. As you've said, not all of us have the same take on risk-taking and management. Just take risks with the amount that you're totally fine with. Because it is you that will determine how much you're going to take and don't be down if there are people that suggest you put an amount that you can't afford because, in the end, it's your decision that will still be the final to be followed.

Message @Hhampuz if you are looking for a CM!
My assets are currently mostly in Crypto and almost 70% are still on exchanges and waiting for the right time to release them, because I am still optimistic the market is still good for the near future, although the risk is also very high, but my portfolio is still in stable coins.
Optimism, that was good for you...
Well, I have a different story from you. Though I have such kind of positivity, still my funds remain at 50% in crypto (more on the top coins) and 50% in the other business. I've shared equally not because of the trust issues but because I'm looking for assurance. Of whatever happens to my crypto investment like if I lose my money in there I'm not too wary because it can still recover with the help of my other business.

Currently, I am sitting on 30% in the bank as cash and 70% in cryptocurrency. It is not very much money overall.
