Hmm .. actually when I found out about Bitcoin it was merely a few thousand I think but I didn't start to trade immediately and took a while to even understand how it works.

If I recall correctly, I found out about BTC when a PTC/GPT had a cashout option as Bitcoins. Then perhaps a couple years down the line, I started trading because the price was constantly going up those days and I had to get it.

I believe it was $7-10k when I actually started trading or just holding those days.

If I am not wrong, I started trading when the price of bitcoin was between $500-$1000. But I didn't think about buying and keeping it at that time and just making a profit.
Indeed, it is very painful when we are already in this year where the price of bitcoin has reached $69k.
We might blame ourselves for not preparing to save bitcoins in the past. But that's okay because we can still save bitcoins now to prepare for the future.

Those who have seen bitcoin under $100 and not bought and held it for a long time feel the same regret. But that's all in the past and we can't go back to that year.
We can only try to save bitcoin from now on before the price of bitcoin increases very high again.

There is no perfect time to start trading but what is important is that we are fully ready --capital, knowledge, and skills.
Lack of capital and enough knowledge were exactly the reasons why I couldn't start trading Bitcoin at the right time even though when I came to know about it the price was around $400 or something, I don't remember the month but it was 2016 and I was looking for ways to earn money online which lead me to Bitcoin faucets and that is how I came to know about an innovation that then changed my life later on by giving me financial stability at an age no one could expect one to have such a privilege where I was living.

When I started trading Bitcoin, I think it was already pretty expensive. I got late because I didn't have funds to buy any when it was still pretty cheap, though it wasn't that cheap for someone like me living in a place where $400 at that time used to be a lot of money for someone to have.

when I learned about cryptocurrency in general, Bitcoin was on its ATH, it was then worth about 20 thousand $.  Then, of course, I started trading at the wrong time.  It was not a very good experience, I did not know that this would happen, but when trading alts at that moment everything immediately began to fall.  I even remember how I bought XRP for $3.....
Damn! I mean buying Ripple at $3 wasn't a bad idea but their issues with SEC ruined the potential.

For me, I started to buy bitcoins when it was pretty cheap, I believe maybe even a thousand bucks! But I was more into earning them for free (there were various ways those days) rather than buying with fiat as there were not many options either. Later I discovered BTC-E (right?) and that is where I started taking BTC trading more seriously and gathered good amounts.

I think it was most likely in the 150-200$ range when i first started trading.
Mine was I think below $200 by that time. I'm not so sure and exact with the price but that's how it was I guess.

Before that i was just messing around and getting familiar with the scene. Now that i think about that, thats nearly x200
I understand and feel you because that was also me. I don't even know why there were different prices and I don't understand what's selling and buying price. I trade as if I'm an idiot and what happened during that time, I unknowingly that I am losing my trades by trying to convert and selling at market price.

Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

I think it doesn't matter how much we start investing in Bitcoin. The important thing here is that you know the importance and potential that it has and why you should invest in Bitcoin or maybe even in other cryptocurrencies.

Because if you only invest because of the hype, or if you just heard that someone you know got rich from it, or if you think of bitcoin as just gambling, the capital you use here will surely be wasted for sure in the end. But if you look at the longevity of Bitcoin and its potential, for sure you will not think about the long wait that you will have to hold it, but you will look at the value that it can give not only to you but to the family that can benefit from what you are doing.

I started to learn about Bitcoin since 2017 and I think the price during that time is already around $7k if I’m not mistaken and that is also the start of my first Bull run. That was a great experience to start my crypto journey, I’ve actually made a lot of good profit from trading, and the bounty as well. I don’t have any regret adapting crypto since then and I’m confident for a more great year to come with crypto.

What I got was around 235 dollars in bitcoin, at that time, I didn't know anything about bitcoin. It's just that the only thing on my mind at that time was the luck of having a lot of money to buy bitcoin at that time. It's like, at that time, I was jealous of those who had money because I believed in bitcoin and that its value would really increase.

You really had diamonds and gold at your feet back then but wasn't oppotune to use it well. I mean, you might not even have all you needed to buy full BTC but if you had bought it's little by little, you will today absolutely have more than one bitcoin considering that there were crash and ups and down that happened before the price grow to this level.

Even if you have $50 dollar in capital to trade back then, it's something that can get you good return if you are a great trader or let's even say you bought $50 of bitcoin today, you should have more money right now but as you said, you were only after having money and money.

That's why I was nothing during those times, because I didn't have a job during those times either. But it's really like that, just from time to time. Now, I hope I can experience a good profit during this upcoming bull run.

I don't think the opportunity of 2012 to 2018 will ever come again but anything is possible though but this unless bitcoin crash which I know people will buy it pretty fast, it will be very hard to have such opportunities some had in the past because if you don't have thousands of dollars, I don't see th  kind of profitw you are looking for in trading bitcoin but if you don't mind the profits, then I don't see any problem.

I started trading when Btc was around the range of 15-20K . Then the bull market slowly starts until we reach the all time high of 60k last three years. I was then a new trader at  that time so i missed out on so many opportunities should have take the short position when Btc was about to enter the Bear Market wish it was now so that i could sell the assets i hold at that time and avoid the losses in my portfolio.

I am in crypto industry from feb 2018.
When the price of bitcoin is moving near 3,000$. And I see Ethereum at 80$. But unfortunately, i am unable to full my bags, because of low funds. But i get small profits in every ERA when price of bitcoin pumps. I had never seen the 3,000$ price of bitcoin again. I feel after 100,000$ bitcoin price. We cannot see the price of 20K, 30K bitcoin price level.
It is still very normal if you get a small profit in every era of increase in Bitcoin, because when the price is low you don't have enough capital to buy more Bitcoin and Ethereum. But there are also a small number of people who are afraid to buy when they see prices are that low and they are even more often influenced by news that is not true about the market through any media. So the fear of buying becomes greater than their desire to accumulate more Bitcoin and Ethereum at that time.

To be very specific, I remember bitcoin dipping below $200 and me sitting like a dribbling moron at my keyboard wondering how low it was going to go.  I probably even posted about it, which would've been back in 2015.  Ugh.  I am not joking about that sinking feeling in my chest when I contemplate what could have been.

The only thing I console myself with when I start thinking of "what could have been" is the fact that I didn't know much about Bitcoin and I wasn't making much income back then to buy in Bitcoin. I know that's an excuse I tell myself because even though I didn't make enough back then I still made enough to buy Bitcoin if I really wanted to.
It gets worse when I think about the fact that my local currency has more value on the dollar back then so I wouldn't have spent as much as I will now to buy Bitcoin.

My trading journey is spanning to almost 2 decades now, and if I remember clearly, it was between 2004 and 2005 that I started trading. I can't confidently call the exact year for the fact that I first started gathering trading materials without acting on them before I later started reading and training on what I read.

As you can see, this was years before Bitcoin was even born and I can confidently say that the price of Bitcoin was still Zero ($0) when I started trading. But it took me years after Bitcoin was born to actually open my first trade on it and the reason is because I am already trading other aspects of the financial market.
I would guess that what they were trying to say was "what was the price of bitcoin when you first started to trade bitcoin", not when you started to trade in general, yes the wording was a bit wrong because it looks like there is a loophole and your answer would be a correct one considering how it was worded, but the mindset must be learning about the price of bitcoin when you first started trading bitcoin itself.

For me personally I always say that it was under 200 dollars for example, I can't possibly remember what the exact price was, but it was about under 200 dollars and I started to invest, not really trade because at the time it wasn't really trading worthy to me, it was mainly investment and I bought and hold and when it went up a bit I sold and bought something, I kept doing that up until it was already around 20k+ and then I started to trade, been doing that ever since and it's quite fun.

The BTC has changing his price every year if you see the price chart from past you will see the too much difference in every year if we see in 2021 the high price was 69k but In 2022 the price of BTC was low as 15476 dollars but now In 2023 as approximately 37500 dollars.in 2021 when I do a trade the BTC price was 60k dollars now I thinking why I didn't take in entry when it was came to low as 15476 dollars now my money would be double

Basically, there are several methods for trading Bitcoin, as is often done by many crypto users, for example: spot trading, Margin, Futures, these three methods are often used by most users, As far as I know, these three methods are carried out based on the current price of Bitcoin and so on, you could say it depends on the market situation.

So, it's hard to say the first Bitcoin price to trade, maybe I don't remember what price I started from, but overall I did it when Bitcoin was going down, It's up to you what the price is, but stick to market guidelines, charts, analysis, volume and so on.
For trading Bitcoin, it is not so important what the price was when you started trading, if it is day trading, or medium-term trading, then the price will be constantly different, and you will need to act according to the situation. And if you buy bitcoin for long-term transactions, then in this case the price will be of great importance, but everything regarding long-term transactions, from a year or more, I personally consider investing, it’s easier for me. In this case, you should calculate the average purchase price that you will get, this will be your purchase price.

Although I knew about Cryptocurrency from long back but then my financial condition was not good for which I could not do trading. If I had a good amount of money at that time I would have definitely kept trading or investing in Bitcoin but I would have made double the profit now. If I had invested back then I would have had a lot of money and a fraction of the bitcoins today as the value of bitcoin has increased. However at that time I was very new and didn't know much about Bitcoin or trading that's why I didn't come into this line at that time. I first came to know about Bitcoin in 2020 and at that time the price of Bitcoin was very low, at that time I had no money to trade and no ideas and knowledge. That time was an interesting time when the price of Bitcoin was very low but I unfortunately could not participate in trading and investing due to financial problems.

I started trading in 2017-18. At that time I used to trade at bittrex, now I guess it has shut down operations. I am assuming at that time Bitcoins were at 600-700$. I was trading small amounts, as trading was still something new for me. I used to gamble a lot, and that too in Bitsler and Primedice. Really telling about this, giving me the nostalgic feeling. Willing to hear other people’s story on this.
Bittrex also gave a kind of first time memories with Bitcoin, because I also bought my first Bitcoin through Bittrex, Even I still have some crypto assets in Bittrex and I haven't had time to withdraw it.

There were actually many exchanges in the past that were popular, and eventually they shut down their operations permanently because the company lost money and there was also because of hacking.

But for gambling like Bitsler and Primdice I've never touched it.
I also remember some exchanges that gave me a lot of trading advantages such as Nova Exchange and Cryptopia which eventually closed due to hacking.
