very difficult to see now. even though everything looks very good and successful, but sometimes we are still stuck in project scams. until now I only try my luck with analysis as much as I do.
All great advice to avoid being scammed as there are many different types of scams out there and hacking methods used to fleece investors of their capital so be very vigilant and, always check to ensure you're using reputable exchanges, secure wallets and individual details for each account to minimize loss
Make sure to learn all the advance securities that you can provide to your accounts / wallets as there's always new things that this hackers/scammers will use in order to penetrate to your assets. If you do performed routine studies and not to relax each but to ensure that you are well aware to anything that happened inside this industry, then the chance of being victimized is slim. Better than doing nothing and find yourself inside the shoes of those victims.
Basically, if a project promises and guarantees you specified profits during a set of time if probably a scam. Crypto is very volatile and is hard to predict what is going to happen.
Some of us can be easily deceive by their sweet lies like we don't even think about it before making decision and that is the reason why we end up felling remorse about it. I've had experience it, it makes curious and interested of course who doesn't want to earn huge profit in easiest way? I don't have enough understanding before about safety and security about scams that's why I lose some of my money. I have learned a lot of things after that incident and now I was able to overcome different problems because my experiences help me to realize my mistakes.
We have the same experience and I think everyone who is in cryptocurrency has experienced this. Where when you first join the cryptocurrency, we will be easy to believe in a word and we will be easily attracted by what they say so we will believe and participate to participate in the project without observing and knowing more about the project. So here, I think it is very important for beginners not to easily believe and at least seek understanding in this forum.

I think investing in ICO/IEO will still be good if you know how to research carefully because many investors want to earn high profits from this form so cannot stop them. Instead of stopping investing, it is best to take the time to add more knowledge and find new solutions to avoid future fraud projects. Although the risk will be very high, this is still choice trusted by many.
I personally have no problem investing, but for the time being it's best to only invest in some major coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum to make long term profits.
Those solutions have been tried by millions of investors and thousands of projects and the results are awful, it is time to try solutions that actually work and the only way to avoid to be scammed by new projects that will tell you all kind of lies so you invest in them is to stop investing in icos and ieos, it is obvious that if you do this you are not going to support some of the few projects that are honest and that could get a huge growth during the next years but the chances that you were to buy into one of those projects early are very low, believe me you are not really missing anything I personally have no problem investing, but for the time being it's best to only invest in some major coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum to make long term profits.
I think being knowledgable in cryptocurrency is already a thing to avoid being a scam if you already know the market and how things work in the crypto world,
It will be easy for you to identify the scam websites and scam advertisement on the internet. A lot of newbie in cryptocurrency getting scam because they are being greedy in earning a good amount of bitcoin in a lot of websites I experience joining an HYIP in my years in cryptocurrency and if the advertisement of the website is too good to be true if it obviously a scam. There is no way you could earn a 20-50% of your investment daily with just investing your money this kind of scheme online or HYIP was just a bait and probably they are just circulating the money of others in your account.

There are a lot of investments here and one of the very common investments was investing to a project and waiting the project to reach he soft and hard cap of them then you will earn, but be aware of those scamming projects that is in the first they are good at paying but later on they will just be missing like a bubbles that will pop, and also don't be to much greed because one of the many reason why people get scammed is because of their greediness to earn.
knowledge is important after that, relationships also become important because if you have many relationships you will find it easier to find projects to do research, then you can invest or join a bounty campaign if you have one. but knowledge is preferred because if you don't have knowledge you can only listen to people's references without being able to understand the concept of the project independently 
The biggest problem of todays society is greed, even when people are doing good profit from a coin (50-70%) they are not selling them. They keep holding all their altcoins and sooner or later the price drops and makes -x10.
this happened to me in the past when I bought ETH, at that time the price had increased but I didn't sell it immediately because I was sure it would go up again but what happened ETH went down and I regret that I didn't sell it when it went up and now I if I do trading if it's a profit I will sell it immediately for fear of repeating again like before

Great information but also there are many trusted exchanges which offer good services to users. Instead of jumping from one unknown platform to another risking your money you can invest in some of this exchanges services and earn good return
I also think that it will be enough just to follow the beaten paths.
All the same, the time of HYIPs and other options for quick money has passed, everything that appears now needs to be attributed to extremely risky and speculative options that will most often be a scam.

For you not To be scammed, you have to remove greed and be ready to do research before investing .
Yes. Initial research should always be done before an investment made so that you will be aware if that is a legit one or another scam project. And when investing, do not ride on a FOMO and do not be greedy because they will surely make you lose or being scammed in the end.Even legit projects can turn to be a crap one.
I have invested in a legit project before, I did my research, check the team, the feasibility of the project and all.
But the tokens are now worthless, seems that the team has no success of implementing their system.
I can't say that they scammed the investors, but I think they have no luck in making their platform a reality.

You indeed made your points explicit and it was quite explanatory. The major factor here is indeed greed, this has cause so many a bitter experience, in a bid to get more, they tend to loose all. People should do proper research before investing on Anything, you don't just invest because others are investing too

Never ever trust your funds in the hands of another person especially a stranger who messages you on telegram, infact when a random stranger messages you on telegram without your permission, block them immediately before they even say anything to avoid being convinced to part with your money because if one juicy offer or another. What they have learnt now is to claim to be professional traders that could help you trade and remit the profits to you and it must have been working on some people because they scammers seem more persistent than ever.
