That is true. It can be misleading because no gambler or sports analysts are very sure with their predictions, that's why it is called a prediction only.
Now, the odds could actually tell which team or player could win the game but it also doesn't mean it is a sure shot. Even the x1.05 - x1.20 favorites could lose the game and I had my share of winning large amounts by betting against them.
The better way would be to do it ourselves when it comes to predicting games. That way even if we lose we won't blame anything or anyone but just us. However, the feeling that we will have when we win that game because of our analysis will be entirely different from just copying a prediction site. I can tell because I've done it so long and it's still the feeling of success when I won my own bets.

Exactly they are also on the side of illusion because they too don't know who will win the match so the best way to play bet is your mind. And that was why I said, the gambler's luck is also to be considered because those predictions are not to be trusted. The squad of the teams should be put into consideration because the team that has the quality players is to be supported and bet on. And that is why we should play gamble for what we can offer to lose.

From the name alone we should already know what a prediction is, because in other words a prediction is something that is possible to happen in the future, not something that "will definitely happen". So if based on that the prediction is not completely correct, we can use it as a reference for why we should bet on a certain team so that our chances of winning the match are greater. However, if we really believe in predictions then that is something that is not quite right in my opinion.
In making predictions we will definitely collect any materials that we can use as a basis for making predictions. For example, when two teams meet, we will see how the two teams perform, what their meeting record is like, what situation the players they have are in, and much more. From there we can draw a conclusion to determine where we will bet.

I personally believe we should keep trading, investing and gambling separately.
Making investments for me are mostly for long term and are the one which bring in the biggest returns.
Trading on the other hand is for making quick profits from short term pumps or dumps.
Gambling is mostly for fun and we can have strategies in each of them.
Sports betting is fun and we can have our own strategies, you just have to identify which suits you the best.
I personally take the prediction sites as one of my "validations" for the bet.
With enough number of validations, you can go ahead and place your bet.

Betting on outright matches is probably suitable for you since your personal preference is for long term investment. Betting in outright matches gives you a longer waiting time and increases your cashout amount when your pick keep moving forward close to the championship.

I’m doubtful whether there’s a strategy for buy and hodl applicable for betting since gambling are all for quick phased games. Most of the gambling strategy will suggest quicker way due to house edge is brutal on longer games.

To be honest, I don't see anything really useful from the prediction sites that are offered, the reason is that I think it is clear that this is gambling where in general the result can never be known whether the result will be a win or a loss. On the other hand, before I decide to use the prediction site, maybe I will first ask them for something, such as the winning streak that other people achieved when they used the prediction site, at least to really convince me that they are worthy of being used. as an option and intermediary to increase the chances of winning, but if not, then yes of course I think it is much better to gamble my own way.

Maybe they just believe on what presented to them that's why it came up on their mind that if they bet according to the prediction shown to them they can also earn huge money. For sure they won't realize this once they didn't experience yet the result of the betting decision they do.

Prediction is just there to give us idea about possible outcome of the game but that doesn't mean its accurate. We also need to look at the other factor since there's a lot of things that can affect the game. If people just know how to verify the predictions given and see if there's basis on what they are showing provably it can give them huge chance to win especially if also they are familiar with the teams also know the latest updates on that league.

Even if i start to predict matches without thinking, i may still get a 50-50 win ratio so better stay away from these services and use our own mind.

At one point I paid for predictions which I fully regret because they kept handing out winners back then until they ran out of luck and their record got worse.
