I started to buy in 2015, I have done quite well with bitcoin. It has definitely made my life better & given me things I maybe couldn’t have achieved without it. I sold some too early, bought some stuff with bitcoin when it was cheap but I don’t regret anything from the journey I’ve been on.

It’s never too late to buy bitcoin. If you’re new now & thinking it’s too expensive, it’s not. The worst thing you can do is sit on your hands & do nothing. Bitcoin is the hardest money ever invented, buy & hold long term, you will not regret it.

When did you start your bitcoin investment? Some people are now grandpa's in bitcoin community. Although it doesn't really matter when you heard about bitcoin, but what you've achieved through bitcoin. Is bitcoin helpful to you all this while? Or you've quit from bitcoin as a result of ugly experience? Let's discuss

Back in 2016, I acquired my first bitcoin, and it felt like we were on the verge of receiving generous contributions from influential figures like Roger Var and others. However, it's disheartening to see that he's not as vocal nowadays despite his previous efforts to raise awareness about bitcoin. While my admiration for bitcoin remains, I believe it's time to reconsider the strategy of solely holding onto it. Perhaps now is a favorable moment to continue holding bitcoin until the upcoming halving event, as it may result in greater returns from altcoins.

2023 is my 5th anniversary of investing in bitcoin, and of course I have benefited a lot from it, so I have to thank Satoshi for introducing bitcoin to the world.

There are many things that I have gained in the last 5 years, and some of them are as follows:

  • New experience in the investment world.
  • Get to know one of the decentralized currencies.
  • Get some returns
  • Get to know the great crypto community in this forum

When did you start your bitcoin investment?
I came to know about Bitcoin around 2 and half year ago, but just like everyone firstly I taught that it's a same scam project just like some bad people does in past to stole funds from innocent people, but later when I research about Bitcoin and get some handsome knowledge, I made my mind to invest but some questions not allow me to adopt now, but after getting possible answer of each question I made my first investment in Bitcoin and still I am inn..

Yeh it's really helpful to me as because it's store my wealth from a long time, currently I accumulate small small amount at every dump as I now it will worth more in near future when inflation almost crashed every fiat and they almost lose his value..

2014... so it's been 10 years. I feel old now Sad

I've been through gox shutdown, Silk Road, Chinese crypto bans, Hash wars, ICOs, IPOS, the rise of shitcoins, the fall of shitcoins, NFTs, FTX, you name it...
What I've learned over the years is no to to trust others, the government is lying, your money is only safe with you and bitcoin is the best long term store of value
With every obstacle in our path we get stronger and smarter, that's all I want to say. Trust in yourself and trust in bitcoin.

Hello Leo! You can still win.
I have been around in the cryptocurrency market, I was lurking although and waiting for the right direction. Unfortunately my first encounter was with an MLM addict who introduced me to a scam project were I lost huge some of money. Funny enough I paid the scammers through bitcoin when I have never owned a bitcoin. Assuming the money I paid to scammers was used to buy bitcoin for myself, I would have been very rich now.

Even the person advised me not to buy bitcoin that it will not make much moves again (that was when bitcoin was below $10k), I should rather buy altcoins shitcoins that were not even listed and that was how I lost again and again.

To answer your question, I started investing when I came to this forum and I was caught up by the bear because I bought high. I sold at lost and I didn't regret it. But it's all fine I entered the market again when bitcoin was below $20.

There's no direct way to answer this question. I started fiddling with cryptocurrencies in 2014 but wasn't active until 2016 or 2017. I made some money until the tremendous market crash in 2018 and abandoned the scene. Theoretically, I've been here for over 8 years, but in practice, I've been active for only the past two years. If I were to answer your question with a number, I'd say that my investments are somewhere from 3 to 4 years old.

Personally, I'm quite satisfied with my course in cryptocurrencies; however, there are times that I'm thinking about all the great opportunities I missed and daydreaming about how life could have been completely different now.

Close to 8 years for me. Congratulations to everybody who held through at least 1 cycle. It's really an achievement not being discouraged by your first bull to bear shift.
There are 2 worst moments for every bitcoin holder:
The first one is going through your first big crash of at least 50%
The second one is being in a bear market for more than a year and starting to lose hope at the bottom.

Once you go through this and see the price recover your view of bitcoin changes by a lot. It's like you went through puberty.

Nothing lasts forever
It's been around 7 years and man it was a tremendous journey. Lots of ups and downs (not talking about the bitcoin price)  Grin
Getting scammed in bitconnect and losing money into shitcoins, ICOs and bounties, NFTs etc... I have seen them all.
Bitcoin has truly made me more aware about my finances and taught me investing.
It has made me walk a path to be free and I am happy walking on that path.

Story' I know bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
I started getting to know crypto in 2019 through news and youtube.
2020 I started investing in crypto, and I was tricked by $1000 because at that time I didn't really understand about choosing a fundamental coin.
2021 start learning what is blockchain crypto fundamentals
And technically.
2022 I started to know Binance and started to get passive income
And now First $3000. Because I needed money, I ended up not investing anymore.
At the end of 2022 I got to know bitcointalk from a friend and at the beginning of 2023 I decided to create a bitcointalk account and I just found out that this forum contains very complete information about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Actually, my journey to get to know bitcoin is a lot, but there are still positives and negatives. From that trip I got a lesson and really helped me in managing my financial problems. I have learned about the importance of patience and avoiding greed in investing. because these two factors are indeed very important in achieving long-term success in investing, especially bitcoin investment.

~ 6 Years

2017 was the first ascent of Bitcoin and there was a lot of hype about Bitcoin that year, I was interested in investing in Bitcoin at that time even though I knew about Bitcoin before that.  But I didn't start investing in Bitcoin then. although the price of Bitcoin was very low then I lost that opportunity because I didn't have much faith in Bitcoin then. but now I realize how valuable Bitcoin is.

It will soon be a year and a half since I buy bitcoin. It is too early to say how successful my investments are, most likely we will find out in the period 2024-2025, when I hope a bull market will come. I like that neither banks nor the government can control my investments, they don't have access to my bitcoins. I am also sure that my funds are protected from the effects of inflation, which is also very important for me as a long-term investor.

I didn't immediately start investing when I first got to know Bitcoin, my first year was spent studying Bitcoin by reading things that could increase my knowledge in investing in Cryptocurrency. After that I started investing in stages, as a beginner who is just starting an investment, of course it's still difficult to get rid of panic. The fear when the price drops to sleeplessness when you see some asset values decrease.
This is the fourth year that I have invested in Bitcoin, of course I have tasted many salts and waters so far. Character building occurs naturally after making a profit, the positive suggestions from forum users have made me more patient in dealing with any conditions that occur in the market. Overall Bitcoin has helped me and my family a lot.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks

Although it doesn't really matter when you heard about bitcoin, but what you've achieved through bitcoin. Is bitcoin helpful to you all this while? When did I start investing in Bitcoin? I still remember the exact month and year on when I first bought Bitcoin using my own money.
February 2018. That's the month and the year. The reason why I can't forget it is that, I'm working as an employee at that time, and I just excused myself, went to a place where I need to cash in then bought Bitcoin. It took me 3 hours to travel at that time, I thought my boss will be angry at that time, but luckily he wasn't. Cheesy

What did I achieved through Bitcoin?
Learnings. Lots of learnings. TBH, cryptocurrency is the starting point of my investing journey. Aside from the fact that I've read the book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" back when I was starting, cryptocurrency really is the reason why I got into investing. Aside from learnings, I also achieved freedom. Not financial freedom, but freedom to work whenever I wanted. Freedom to do the things that I want to do. Freedom to go wherever I want to go. Aside from that, I also have an achievement of beating inflation because I invested my money into different assets instead of just saving it on a bank.

Is Bitcoin helpful to me? Hell YES!!!
Like I said, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general is the starting point of my investing journey. Bitcoin helped me in many ways, and so are some here for sure. I don't know if it's just me, but Bitcoin helped me pay my bills here. Bitcoin is also the reason why I have more assets right now that I'm holding. I know for sure that many here helped by Bitcoin in different ways.

Did I quit investing in Bitcoin?
No I didn't, and I will never quit investing into it. As long as I can still work, I will still put a portion of my total salary to invest not just into Bitcoin, but in other coins as well.

I am very new to crypto world only one year and 2 months. For invest in BTC it may feel like you don't have enough funds. As far as I know, the return on investment is normal if you enter with a large value, the profit you get is proportional to the investment value, even though the amount varies. What I have achieved now is that I have an understanding of the course of the economy, cause and effect and market behavior. I read everything from good posts submitted by seniors or other friends. Yes. this forum really helped me with my insight into digital currency.

I think I started bitcoin investment since four years ago, when I started it wasn't funny for me, I have to learn everything on my own, nobody to guild me, I started with how to trade, I wasted so many money on trading, after losing everything I was having then, I gave up but after few weeks I didn't really know what motivated me to go and do more research about bitcoin, trading and cryptocurrency in general, then I started understanding it more, I was still losing money in trading but it reduced compare to when I started trading, then later I started accumulating bitcoin gradually, it was not really easy for me then, but am just happy I didn't give up.

My privacy, my right.
I can't say I have being really quite long with bitcoin but am sure I haven't gone more than a year in my awareness  about the currency  and for the little while I can actually boast that there's has been a very big difference in my responsibilities with my money a based on custodialship and my exposure to financial security hasn't been the same. Am glad I found myself here in this community cause all of this exposure wouldn't have been possible without the resources made available here by members.
