Just remove the email from this account then create a new one. Think that should work but why is it imperative you keep the email?

I just checked it says I have to donate 10 btc for donator and 50 btc for vip member, well to be frank those are huge for me as of now
So wanted to knw if I close my account and make a new account with the same email id as used in this account - in that case I can make a new account with a new display name and keep my email id same.
How is that possible pls guide

No you can't make new account with a previously registered email address. However feel free to make a new account with your desired username using different email address.
Edit: Try hilariousandco's instruction below, it worked.

You need to be a Donator or VIP member to change your display name.
