Choose an altcoin that their currency is mined by the normal blockchain process – miners give up some processing power and time on their computers, or other hardware. But they’re not hashing transactions.

Why do you choose alts? Set a goal for yourself. You should clearly understand what you want from crypto. If you want a quick profit then buy coins with a high volatility. If you want a stable income buy coins from the TOP-10. If you want a long term investment with a high ROI you must study many projects to find the best.

In general, there are a lot of criteria. Here are some that I draw attention to when choosing altcoins: a team (how strong, who is in advisers); community activity, and of course, the product itself should be credible, plus good reviews about it.

I think from the time a project announces its ICO they need to exhibit their seriousness through a beta product which works and the tokensale should only be used as a way to expand its operations not when to start the development of a product, I know that's how ico's where carried out but things have changed and this is my criteria of choosing an altcoin.

 - strong team that has done that before and succeeded;

 - it proposes a solution to a very important problem;

 - it has no competitors or weak ones;

 - it's a protocol, just as HTTP is.

  These are criterias that help me choose a good ico or at least reduce the risk of being a scam one. This implies a lot of research though.

  Learning every day will help you choose the right ones

Everything is based on a long analysis of the market supported by knowledge gained through the exchange of crypto currencies. So you need to just follow some coins and decide if you want to invest or not.

Hello everyone

I have a question.

there are so many altcoins in the market. How can we choose the right coin?

I know there are some criteria for us to consider

1: low supply
2: good project
3: realistic roadmap
4: good team member

questions: is there any more criteria can be considered? and what's the priority you think about all these criteria?

also. anyone can give me more detail information about these criteria??

like the first one: low supply. how many supply is "low supply"
the second one: what's definition of "good project"
the fourth one: how to measure it has "good team member"

Thank you for your help. I think it is very important for investors.

I will look at the Whitepaper of the project, it will usually record the most information about the project. Then take into account its practicality and usefulness, what will it be?
A very important part of the coin is that the community needs to grow, to be able to look at telegram, facebook, twitter, reddit, medium, etc. Their ANN topic: interaction and opinion of members.

These are the steps on how to choose good altcoin:

1. Choose a altcoin based on what you love to used, because not all coins or altcoins have good characteristic.

2. Conduct minimal background checking or study the history of the altcoin you want to hold and to invest, to identify the credibility and potential of the altcoin you've been chosen.

3. Sight the financial stability of the altcoin to easily found if the altcoin have a capability to supports their altcoin for long period of time.

4. Check if they have enough fund to supports their altcoin for not less than 5 years, because maybe they were offer good price from the starts but in the future, they have lack of fund to support project for many years coming.

In my opinion, a good Altcoin will depend on coin founders and the number of altcoin released. If coin founders belong to famous people in the world or talented people. So beyond the roadmap, good project ... etc. I estimate that Altcoin will thrive in the future.

I don't pay much attention to the supply, this isn't a guarantee of anything. There's a project with a very low supply but they aren't worth anything, and on the contrary. I like to look at projects with innovative and new ideas, I think they have great potential.

I usually checking whitepaper and roadmap first. Beside Total supply and Mcap

Low supply and mcap, strong project is best choice
In my opinion, I check the co-founder of a digital coin, if the team members are well known and talented, the project is not a scam, checking the business field of the project, Fields tend to grow in the future ... and next is to check the Whitepaper, Roadmap ... etc.
Yesteday someone made an accusation thread to the myriads.io about those picture that has been used by the developer just fake photo that has taken from the youtube video. It must better to clarify about the personality of the developer itself. So many scam projects are using fake account with fake photo too.

Just check the market price for top 100 altocoins, check their value if some changes happen every week, Altcoin that are getting up per day is a good sign too.

Stay glued to troll boxes, rumors have a way of being true half of the time they are wrong, so you get a 50:50 chance of hitting a nice project. Just know, everything for now is built on pure speculation.

if you mean low supply as in number of coins you should start taking marketcap into consideration. also compare its mcap with its competitors.

In my opinion choosing a good altcoin is very tricky. There are more than 1500 altcoins and their tech and whitepapers are very similar. You need to search on internet, read whitepaper, search team for a good altcoin. In my opinion it is like a gamble to invest in an altcoin. Maybe in the future we will see the difference.

Choosing a right altcoin always follow the company website and read the whitepaper clearly while the company was came with ICO. Also, follow the stability of the coin price fluctuation according to the market situation. If, you are seeing a range of the price that the coin is moving then trade from below and if the price shows a stability then make an investment for longer period.

The community is an important criterion needs to be considered as the main point. I think that the supply doesn't give a lot of impacts to believe how good altcoin is. But a big community behind it will provide a clue about the strong support to push the project development itself. That means more trust and the project will become more trustable
