I also think like you. How to make Smerit ... Because it is difficult to be noticed by other people while I am just a beginner is very difficult. I always thought of how to write topics that other people pay attention.

Everyone must work hard in order to rank up with this new system, merit is something that we have to really work on. I think you should also consider posting on topics which have fewer replies so the idea that you contribute will be the first and it will be considered useful by the one whi were asking for an idea. Prevent from posting with threads that have multiple replies because the info that yiu might give have been said by others. So even if its constructive the chance of getting merit will be less.

don't tell me about make a good post because i watched many high-quality posts in this forum and they weren't merited at all.

You already know what to do but I'm guessing putting thought into your posts is too much work. Getting merit isn't going to be that difficult to people making great posts, but if you're just making average ones that barely make sense then nobody is going to pay any attention and merit them.

I know you hate those shitposters or spammers but that hatred is now spreading into newcomers too.

No, being a newcomer isn't the issue. If you were making great posts then you would be rewarded. You're one of the Vietnamese farmers that were copy and pasting content over hundreds of accounts and you're the reason why people dislike newbies because they come here just to earn by spamming and the merit system was introduced because of people exactly like you so you ruined it for yourself due to your laziness and greed.

There is so much competion that you have to be unique to get some merits. For instance, you can create an Info-graphic explaining some useful feature here.
If your interest is only Merits, you should leave the forum. This is a place for learning, discussing, and sharing ideas. I know that just small part of forum's joiners follow the approach, which I believe that the original objectives of the forum.
I have seen lots of posts during last week asked about How to get Merits? How to get easy Merits? Merit system hits me hard. Merit system works my life, etc. Topics like How to learn new knowledge in the forum? Where should I start as a Newbie? Very rare. Why is that?
The answer is mot of users only focus on money, in turn lead them to How to get Merits. Additionally, those topics also help us to recognize how bad the forum is before the launch of merit system (shitty posts everywhere)

This is the problem with the merit system because people will not give you merit unless you pass on their standards. Specially when you have negative trust like me, its hard to collect merits since they judge you in the first place by seeing those red lines under my name. Well I still believe in the long run, people will use their merit to a well deserve people. To get some smerit you should receive merits from other people, and keep on working hard.

Admin commented that we should not be meriting posts because we just agree with what the member says. We should merit if the posts brings some value to the  forum. I think very less of the members are following that advice.

as far as i know . you need to satisfy reader.
the more you are knowledgeable  about cryptocurrency you can answer it easy.
the best way is to answer a thread that is "new" or has only few replies.
then you just gonna do the main answer or make your post as the top answer of the thread

Every body on this topic is wrong, theymos doesn't want you to invite others to post here for money, when you are spending 4-6 hours to make 100-120 posts with 6-10 accounts to earn more coins and no body is stopping you, it makes it effortless for others to do the same.

The basic thing you have to do is make a constructive post that provides useful information to others then if others see and like it, then they will give a merit point, 1 merit point equals to 0.5 smerit points, meaning to get a sendable smerit you need to earned 2 merit points which will be given to you by the users here.

Whether you are new or old member, here are some ways to earn merits:

1) Make quality posts.

2) Make more number of quality posts. It is obvious that competition is higher. More posts you have, more is the chance of getting spotted.

3) Post in different sections. Observe sections where you get more merits.

4) There are some members giving away merits. Participate in them. Here is the list of those threads: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-threads-giving-away-merit-points-for-quality-posts-2832127

Just new to here and i did research about the Merit system which is needed for me to rank up, so can i ask a question ?

Are you really new here ? You joined here on Date Registered:October 21, 2017. Also if you really did research about merits, you will not have to ask this question.

Earning some sMerit looks extremly hard when some people only want to give sMerit to friends, others don't give a shit about reading others's post to give sMerit . Only a few people(kind people) are ready to give us - the newcomers - some sMerit for ranking up stuffs.

There may be some members giving merits to friends but all are not doing this. Otherwise no new member would have got any merit which is not the case.

By the way this is the point i want to discuss about, at all of these topics , you have to SHOW your history posts not receiving sMerit by making a good post .... So there will be 2 jobs for us : " Making good posts and showing them for people to be merited"..

If you feel this, then it means there is a failure in board moderation, or you have posted your message in the wrong place. Having to post a link to your message in a merit soup kitchen just means that you are cluttering the board with double posting. Also it means that if you are awarded a merit from a charity administrator's sMerits, then that merit costs the forum two sMerits, ( It takes two merit awards to generate one sMerit). That wasted sMerit could have been used to help another member.

Just new to here and i did research about the Merit system which is needed for me to rank up, so can i ask a question ? Like how i can attracting attention of people who can give me sMerits? I'd love to hear the opinions about it and don't tell me about make a good post because i watched many high-quality posts in this forum and they weren't merited at all.

Well, first of all, you'd be wise to more reading before posting on this forum. The more you learn the better your threads will be and the higher your chance of getting merit. A post like yours starting this thread, asking a simple question that's nearly common sense is the exact wrong thing to do.

Ok, now let's get this talk to a more constructive place and give you this one opportunity to learn. I hope you're paying attention.

Below is a list of several threads, each one has a list of threads or posts deemed "high quality". Read them, see how much information is in them. Realize how helpful they are to the community. And notice how much merit they earn as a result.

TEN CLASSIC Bitcointalk Posts

Finally, a gift for you - a collection of threads that are giving away merit for high quality posts.

Listen, majority of the people here don't spend merit on friends. I've given away over 60 sMerits, not one of the recipients is a friend. If you want to earn, get to work and make some quality posts!

By the way, everything I've listed above could have been found by you if you just took 10 minutes to look.
Thank for your helpful comment bro, i will give you 1 sMerit if i have ... But seems like there are many needs and too little supply (even with the sMerit sources) . Hope i gonna earn enough 10 sMerit in this week because that's my current goal. Hopefully there will be more and more giveaway sMerits like this in the nearly future cause that all we-newcomers- need.

The point here is will they read your comments or not. Specially when your comment is on a mega-spam threads like hundreds of pages. So your comment is likely a fish in an ocean and noone will give a shit about it. Stop telling people to make a high-quality post when the solution is making a HIGH-QUALITY POST in a NON-MEGASPAM-THREAD.
They will read your post if it's really helpful to them or s.th else constructive. Seem that you imposed your mind on others, not good at all.

There is no distinction here between new or old member. They will give you merit if they see that your post is useful for them.

Each people has their own idea of what is a good post. As i mention above, so you see they are high-quality posts but it's not mean that others see the same as you.
