There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.

He's still a newbie. My question is, is there a way or link for to explain Bitcoin to newbies?

Apart from the forum rules and regulations is there a thread on this forum that explains in detail the whole concept of crypto currency on this forum?

Actually explaining about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to newbies is not an easy task, you must observe patience while doing it, especially if the person has no knowledge about the internet and computer functions, Im always encountered that problem in my country, and they always back to me and ask about it even in the night time which is a hassle, in my opinion, I already give them the important link to visit and other useful information as a guide to learn but still, they want to try in actual that's why I have no choice but to teach them in actual one by one.

If there are people who want to learn about the crypto world, the most important thing we have to explain is about the risks that must be faced when they are already in this forum or by investing, because everyone is interested in learning crypto because they have seen the results shown. get very big on other people but they don't know how hard and time we have struggled, and for beginners reading every article about crypto it is also very important so that when we explain how to get results he is easy to respond.

Well for starters, you can refer to him this forum so he can utilize the search bar if there are any questions that he might ask. Another thing, I would refer to this video since it explained cryptocurrencies using real-life applications. It is very informative as it covered subjects on the blockchain, ledgers, nodes, etc.

What the video did not tackle are the issues revolving around BTCs. Remember that due to its anonymity, it may be used as a currency for illegal transactions under the dark web. But the internet will be your material as there are tons of videos/threads explaining BTC to newbies.

If just introducing it is difficult and easy to leave, it's better to make newbies think that with bitcoin investment our money can increase hundreds of percent in a year or even less, I'm sure in a simple way like that newbies are more interested than technical things about bitcoin.

First Explain to Him that it is a Stupid Idea that someone earn from crypto "Without Effort" because there is no such thing unless you have a mirror ball and you can just find what coin will go UP>

in Bitcoin he needs to monitor and even take the right timing in which includes effort.

This forum is indeed a great place for people to learn/share thoughts about bitcoin or the crypto environment, still youtube isn't totally bad, though. Its all depends on which channel we decide to follow in order to learn bitcoin, there some good channel that sharing great contents such as aantonop's channel. The thing is it might be hard if someone just leans on youtube solely, not to mention in case s/he faces some case which hard to understand and no one on his side to answer its queries.
a lot of new people today who want to get to know bitcoin from the start, are only interested in trading. I saw it in some of my friends and relatives who asked me.
their focus is on trading, not on its development and use.
to introduce a very simple trade, of course, we can see some YouTubers. especially for some youtube accounts of exchange platforms that provide demos. that's very helpful.

With the price of Bitcoin reaching new ATH twice this year, of course attracting the attention of many people,  there will definitely be many new
people who want to learn Bitcoin. Investing and trading are the things that are most in demand from Bitcoin for now, because many new people
really want to know Bitcoin, they usually want to be able to make a profit from Bitcoin. Not to use it as payment, so we can suggest newbies to
learn trading or investment can be from reading various articles on the internet, or they can also make it easier to understand, they can watch
video tutorials on YouTube. To get a more understanding, newbies can start reading topics in this forum that explain how to trade or invest well.
If newbie still don't understand, newbie can join the discussion in the forum, later many high rank members will help.

Every crypto greenhorn (novice/newbie) who had approached me about Bitcoin had come with the intention of making money from it. They come like this, "Ahem, I heard there's something called Bitcoin and I heard people are making a LOT (they always stress that part) of money from it." It's always that pattern they come with. Now, I have developed that mindset that every newbie has the intention of profiting from Bitcoin. The tech aspect is always a secondary concern to them. So, I make it a point of duty to explain Bitcoin to any that comes my way by letting them know that nothing good comes easy. I warn them that Bitcoin isn't a Ponzi or a Get Rich Quick Scheme and that people also lose money dealing on it too the same way they could make money from it. At that point, if they still show interest I then commence lecturing them. Otherwise, I end it there. Now isn't the time to dwell on wasted efforts. A lot of these supposedly newbies were a part of those FUDding about Bitcoin a few years ago when they strongly believed it was a bubble.

Although, this can be gotten from YouTube and in the help area/board
Do well to spend more than an hour vor two learning about Bitcoin and how it operates.
YouTube is now not a great source of learning about bitcoin because they are not educating you about the true working of bitcoin but are busy on promotion and earnings and that's why they will talk nonsense about bitcoin as they just want to make video and have no knowledge. So that's why it's hard to trust what you see on internet but on forum you can have true and accurate information which you can share with others also.

I feel like as much as the essence of Bitcoin, its potential benefits and opportunities that comes along it, safety precautions must be discussed with the newbies. It is crucial that everything is thoroughly discussed to someone new with Bitcoin because it can be overwhelming especially that many misleading information can be directed into their way which can result to some bad experience.

Be careful here, this user is only interested in the quick money and you need to clear him on this before he goes on the wrong part. First make him understand Bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme were you get rich overnight. Here you profit by holding for years. Some lucky individual gamble and get lucky when the price of Bitcoin is about to rise or pick some so to hyped altcoins and those are the people making others believe they can do the same.

If he joins this community with this mindset and gets unlucky he will get scammed or lose heavily.  Profiting from Bitcoin takes patience, let him get in when everyone is panicking and hold through the storm (corrections) and in future he will be among those celebrating.

The answer that often arises is to read material about crypto. But I think it seems boring, especially for beginners who are not used to things like that. Their minds must be focused on quick profits. But there is no need to worry because as time goes on new ideas are also emerging, now there are many tricks to play crypto in the form of videos or images on several social media. This can be a step in explaining crypto to newbies.

Actually there are lots of questions about teaching a beginner to get to know Bitcoin, but before that, he must first know what the purpose of knowing Bitcoin is, whether he wants to invest in Bitcoin or how.

I think if you want to tell a newbie to get to know Bitcoin and you tell him how to transact using Bitcoins to him then you can explain how to store Bitcoins and send Bitcoins and then you explain how to invest with Bitcoin or other like Altcoins. From there he would surely understand how he could learn all that.

On the forums are not completely honest sharing, sometimes there are a lot of layers of anonymity and use their languages to arouse more suspicion in the community for their cause and maybe a project they are behind, those are decoys to lure people without news sources into going in the wrong direction. Youtube can gather a lot of meaningless videos and have components that are established and shared to make money advertising but there are also quite a few individuals who aim for a professional channel and support users, newbies can choose to follow channels with high engagement

He's still not interested in Bitcoin with that kind of reason. He just wants to make money. I don't know but you should probably save yourself from the trouble of explaining technical details or basics on the blockchain. Go straight to how to buy BTC and tell the risks of investing.

I have yet to meet a real-life person who was interested in Bitcoin for anything other than making money the easy way, which is a kind of philosophy that runs through the internet and the stories of those who got rich by investing a few hundred dollars, and today they have millions. I, on the other hand, have made a decision before that I will not help anyone to invest in BTC or any altcoin, until that person understands the basics, and proves that he is capable of being his own bank.

You should do everything possible to prevent anyone in your life from blaming you for anything negative that can happen after a friend or acquaintance invests in cryptocurrencies. The Internet is full of completely free knowledge, and those who are not able to find that knowledge are, in most cases, not ready to possess something as sensitive and volatile as Bitcoin.

It's dangerous when people get into Bitcoin just because they want to profit from it. I think explaining how Bitcoin is different from fiat and CBDCs is a good start, but then you should mention that most places don't accept Bitcoin as payment yet. Then you can show the price chart, so that the person can see that Bitcoin's value does grow over time. But don't forget to draw attention to bear markets as well, so that the person realizes that his investment can decrease by half or even more and stay like that for a few years. And then, once the risks are acknowledged, you can talk about scams, wallets and other things mentioned in the thread.

The best option for a newbie is not to rush into the industry. This does not mean not working at all. It is better to start in small steps, so the chances of success are much higher.
