Finding a best ICO is hard, I suggest is to read their whitepaper thoroughly. Choose the ICO that has a long term rather than short term plans and has good team. Ask yourself this questions: Is the technology they used is unique and doesn't sound ridiculous, can the company survive/thrive without the ICO? Are they just creating a coin to profit in this ICO craze or does the coin serve an important purpose?How will the coin increase in value, is it based only on hype on exchanges or is it from it being used as a utility in the company? Does this company have competitors that may make this one irrelevant? What is the purpose of the token in the company ecosystem? In we should always read and understand what the ICO's whitepaper is saying. Not just invest because many of the community invest, no. Google is your friend when you have doubts on investing on the said program.

Usually good ICOs are hyped by a lot and many people advertise them for example on their signature or profile picture on Bitcointalk.
Also you hear alot in the cryptonews about this ICO. Good ICOs are not only a good project idea, but also having a good team is important.
Finding a good ICO is therefore not that easy, since so many ICOs have emerged during the last few months.

First, you can find projects on this forum, ICO websites, blogs, etc. Second, you have to look into the team, idea, at what stage the project is, partnerships, the use of technology,etc. After that you should look into token metrics, what's the percentage for the team, crowdsale, etc, and the use of fund.

Choose those ICO's that has long term plans and has a good team of developers who are really helping the project to make it more usable. Don't choose those ICO's that will just give you profit after the token distribution, chose the coin that will be having some partners who are reputable and well known in the market as this will make the coin valuable.

As you said, there are a lot of ICOs and the number of them are getting increase every day. If you want to find a good ICO, first, you should do a research about the team. After of that, you can read the whitepaper to get more information about it.
