Learning about bitcoin is not that easy as you’ve to be following up with new developments coming into the market, especially new altcoins which some are labelled “shitcoins".

Please don't mislead people. You yourself are a beginner, and it is better not to try to give advice at first, especially when they look awkward. What does it mean to keep an eye on altcoins while linking everything to bitcoin?

OP, you say you are a professional. This is very encouraging, since it is always easier for a serious person to achieve what he sets himself as a goal. As you were rightly advised, there is no need to rush, but later you will notice if the topic starts to interest you, there will be time. The same thing happens with all forum members. After all, you probably do not assume that only loafers hang out on the forum, do you?

What's that platform that has been directed to you? I've read stories bout' these "platforms" being suggested by their friends but they've ended up being scammed by that platform because they're likely a scam platform, a ponzi or so.
By platform he meant bitcointalk.
Thanks! I was paranoid thinking and thought that he's telling another place upon telling 'this platform'.

Actually the platform I was referring to is this Forum. Thank you for your contribution as well..
You're in the platform then and I have thought a lot and compared your situation with the others that I've read before when their friend has taught them something different for the gain of their friend but at the expenses of their loss.
Read everyone's thought and suggestion on what you should do, you're on the right track and it may take time to make sure that you know what you're doing because no one's going to guide you unless you have the basic idea and information that you need on what you must do.

Saying about time management.  I understood that time is an important asset. Time is money, time is skill, time is everything you want to achieve. There are situations that one will find himself and he will know the importance of time.
I became aware of this forum when I was out of job due to covid 19 effects. So, that gave me enough time to put attention to crypto. Even till now I am still jobless because I have refused to apply. I depend on my crypto investments to feed while learning skills. I know too well that if I get another job, it will be difficult to learn skills and crypto.
However, two hours every night is cool to get you going here.

Our free time is the time left over after all the responsibilities of our daily lives. If you organize your free time well, you will have time for your hobbies and for online activities. By carefully scheduling your free time you will find that it is enough to get things done and not too much time wasted, especially if you have a lot of things on your plate. You may, for instance, reduce the amount of time you spend watching TV or playing online games. You can also schedule your weekends and evenings for online activities.

For a beginner, a few hours a week is enough to engage in this community. That's enough to learn about what's new in the topics you're interested in and even contribute to the discussion. As you get more involved, you will need to dedicate more time for it. But you will learn a lot more in time. If you don't have time for everything in life, don't force yourself to do it.

Of course, with experience it's recommended to adjust your schedule. Once you have learned how to grow your wealth, you will find that you have more free time than ever before.

Complaining about the time to learn it when you’ve another work out there, you don’t need to stress yourself out as learning about bitcoin has to be in a conducive environment and also have a free mind, not being bothered. Just take your time and study it gradually when you’re very free, it’s better to learn gradually and understand the whole concept than rushing and ending not getting anything right.

Good day everyone,
I mean, who wouldn't like to acknowledge it as the future except, you don't see it for its futuristic possibility yet.

I appreciate the fact that you realize that, and hope all your doubts have been cleared by now, its never too late to start now. In addition, bitcoin is a digital currency and not any form of sh*t its been called out there, no one tend to prosper financially while being an enemy of currency.

Having a job and living in a big metropolitan city with some of the highest population in the world where everything gets so timely, even your free time doesn't seem so free and with that, getting a working schedule that accommodates other things becomes really difficult.

Being on this platform does not denied you access to doing other things, infact it you have have your normal work during the day and still come online during the cool of the day when you would have returned from work, i guess many people create time for social media chatting that benefit them With nothing, but on bitcointalk here, you learn to improve every basics of live.

I am sure there are others with same constraints here and I'm asking, how do you guys go about archiving this.
My knowledge of cryptocurrency is at the extreme basis and I really want to remedy that and be a lot more active on the forum.

You need time management, ability to multitask, and to create passion for learning, practice makes perfect just start from somewhere, learn from the forum first before you begin to make post, read articles about Cryptocurrency, spend less time on chatting and social media. everyone here started from somewhere to be where they are now.

1. If you like Bitcoin, you'll do anything for it, the same like if you love someone you'll do anything to get him.

2. "Rome wasn't built in a day" it's same as anything need a process. Bitcoin is really hard to understand especially you're not tech savvy, but it doesn't mean it's impossible. Start slowly, you don't have to force yourself.

3. "Read more than talking" as you said you want to be active on this forum. Creating post will consume your times, you need to understand first before you want to reply someone, though you shouldn't think you need to fully 100% perfect because perfectionist could harm yourself.

I need to learn more about crypto and pushing myself has been very tasking with a congested schedule. I am sure there are others with same constraints here and I'm asking, how do you guys go about archiving this.

Welcome into the rabbit hole!
As I said in the post @Rikafip has linked to you, bitcoin is a difficult topic.
In addition to that, being a paradigm shift, it encompass consequences in many different aspect of our life (check the “bitcoin fixes this” meme).
Take your time, it will be a long journey. Don’t rush. Have a look around, then try to focus more on the aspects give more satisfaction for you, and try to master it (be it the technological aspect, the economic or the philosophical one, the implementation of L2 solution, or the possibility to enable unbanked people to access viable storage of value… just you name it)… then study the detail, of one of those. Expand slowly go near branches. Never stop learning, never stop exchanging knowledge.

I can fully understand why you feel swamped and not having enough time on your hands. Thing is, signal to noise ratio in the crypto sphere is very low due high amount of altcoins and new trends (ICO, DeFi, NFT) that constantly keep popping out so newbies often get lost in all this. Add on that all the stories how someone got rich overnight via xyz altcoin and no wonder that people get lost, not knowing how and where to start. What I would suggest you is to ignore all of that and strictly focus on Bitcoin, both time-wise and investment wise and you will see that situation is not as bad as you might have thought.

Your friend definitely did a good thing by sending you here as you probably won't find a better to place to learn about Bitcoin than this forum. Good starting point is fillippone's 5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin.

Start with knowing what platform is that, and as a newbie, you don't actually need to cope up with what's with the market. A simple idea is already enough on how to do it and get invested in crypto. The best way is to start with bitcoin, you simply buy and hold. At least, that's the strategy of the majority here so, even if you're a busy person as long as you have bitcoin on your wallet (electrum or hardware wallet), you can do anything that you want without being hassled.

Good day everyone,
I am as my username displays and have been on the forum for sometime, just inactive due to the difficulties I face.
I am a professional someone, By that i mean I’ve got my job alright but with the continuous awareness cryptocurrency is getting, it becomes difficult for one not to get interested. I mean, who wouldn't like to acknowledge it as the future except, you don't see it for its futuristic possibility yet.

Long story short, a friend of mine introduced me to this platform after I discovered that his got dealings in cryptos and isn't doing badly. It has become a hard to learn from him due to distance and for this reason, he rightly directed me to create an account on the platform which I have done since last year but, I'm finding it extremely difficult to merge it with my job and its being a big issue for me, even with the fact that, a part of me could tell that I need this.

Having a job and living in a big metropolitan city with some of the highest population in the world where everything gets so timely, even your free time doesn't seem so free and with that, getting a working schedule that accommodates other things becomes really difficult.

How do I get going with this?
