In my mind, they will give us merit according to our works: content of our posts.

Let's getting knowledge first, sharing ideas, and helping others. Then merit will comes to us I guess Cool

We, the jr members are having a hard time to have merits. The first thing we have to do was to have quality post.

Pretty much everyone has to do that.

Second is to seek for a good hearted person that offers free merits if they see that your post is worth the merit.

to seek for a person that's offering free merit if they see your post is worth the merit.... what Huh

The forum dont allow trading but i think people dont mind others here. If youre not popular then you dont have merit. Or if you get, you should wait for long time.

I don't know what trading you're talking about. Oh, so it's like high school, yes? No, absolutely not true.

I think the post was clearly stated. What word you cant understand here ? Haha, i think the trading he said was the merit trading that was also known as merit abuse for the moderators. And i agreed on the part that if youre not popular, you cant habe merit. Like the post i saw saying that he had 100 merits for 80+ post. They gave merit for that post instead of helping other lower ranks to rank up. Just stating my opinion.

Do you think there will ever be a time when this alt will become redundant, or will it be the first merit Legendary? Smiley

When I read your respond, I am quite disappointed to know that it's yours, not by the system.
Yeah, no, you're not going to automatically get merit.

And you ought to be really effing grateful that Jet Cash was kind enough to give you a merit.  He deserves a thank you and not what you wrote here.  I suspect he gave it to you out of a misplaced sense of pity, but nevertheless you got it.

Man, I'm having a hell of a time finding merits to give out to lower ranked members around here, and I've been looking in sections I normally don't frequent.  It's like wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling shitposting around here and I just don't want to spend all of my time skimming through them looking for the good stuff.  If any of you guys have any recommendations, PM me.

Sir, as I said before, I posted it in Btt discussion board but it was transferred to the speculation one automatically one day after. I think that it's because of forum's rules.
Thank you for your advice!

Even, if that's correct you still posted in a mega thread. Plus, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.35278308
That's still in Bitcoin discussion and is considered a mega thread. Some of your replies are fine, but not of exceptional quality and probably don't justify any merits, but you'll likely earn merit if you make quality replies which haven't been repeated already just don't expect to earn 100 in one day as that's just not plausible.

To be honest, I don't really know how to earn even a merit. I have tried to post meaningful posts and I think that is enough. And I also think that some of my threads or posts are constructive enough to get some merits but I am maybe not as lucky as other members
However, I shall continue to post constructive posts and keep waiting..

You've posted in the megathreads on Bitcoin discussion. Of course no one's going to merit you there as it's already been answered with the same things over and over. It's unlikely that you added anything new to the discussion and anyone who does have merit to give isn't likely to be looking to give it in those threads.

Rank has nothing to do with it. Also the merit 'system' is a community based system, and not a software generated reward. The merit wasn't really for tht individual post, but becuse I read a number of your posts. I'm sure that if you continue to make good quality posts then the community will reward you. I'm not sure why you are disappointed to discover that I was the one to award you with merit, I'm one of the community, so you should consider it as a community recognition of your posting, rather than my personal decision.
Well, it's just because I used to think that merits are given both by its system and community. I didn't mean that I was disappointed with you and your reward. In contrast, I highly appreciate your reward.  Thank you again!

I've just given you a merit for one of your posts. I suspect that the merit awarders are not too active on the speculation board. I go there sometimes, but maybe only once or twice a week.

Dear sir,
I would like to thank you for your kindness. My thread initially was posted on bitcoin discussion board but, as the new regulator - I guess that, was transferred to the speculation one. Well, from bottom of my heart, I was so excited to see one merit in my account this morning and I thought that my merit was counted automatically by forum's system. When I read your respond, I am quite disappointed to know that it's yours, not by the system. Because it means that the merit system haven't counted user's meaningful posts and merits are given manually my human with higher rank? Shocked

Best regards

Every thread on merit now turns into this broken record:

But one can only get it through making meaningful posts and contribute positvely  to the forum.

try to practice a constructive or helpful post , and you need 10 merit to level up or to rank up.

You can earn merit by posting a constructive, helpful posts.

Be helpful, be constructive, be staying away from merit farmers; then merits will come.

The first thing we have to do was to have quality post.

You can get merits by creating a quality post

You can listen all of those who recommend you to make quality posts.

you can do this by post very hight quality topic

create constructive post or good quality post

To get merit you just need to have a good quality of posting.

you must try to make quality post

I'm so tired of this.  All of the above users are going on ignore.  Some already were.

Somebody with some power on bitcointalk really needs to start taking off the gloves.

No, it is definitely unfair system due to its unfair launched. However, since its launching day, all newcomers have the same beginning, those ones have fair starting point. I guess newcomers will feel very happy with merit system, which give them chances to learn knowledge, get help easier.
The merit system is a  fair one at stopping spam.

Be helpful, be constructive, be staying away from merit farmers; then merits will come.
But one can only get it through making meaningful posts and contribute positvely  to the forum. There no other way to get merit and one can only rank up once they have required merit for each rank.

Why do you have to include those oversized pictures to clog this thread? I've had to put you on ignore to enable me to revisit this thread, so no merits for you.
Maybe I have to delete it, sorry if you feel annoyed. next time will not happen again
Thank you for today's lesson, Jet Cash !  Wink

I know exactly how you feel about the merit system; we tend to get frustrated because I think we have put effort/s in our post, but still no merit/s given. In my case, research and helping people can benefit you to start earning merit. Your topic or reply should be clear and concise; at least you know the difference between this and these. You can also try exploring the forum because sometimes people tend to ask something, which has an obvious answer. Wink You can also check your local board, explaining your side or your idea with your own language can bring the good in you, and moderators are merit source.

I have some post related to this topic. I just started here with no merits but after a week it's been added.  I just want to say that "Don't talk for Merits,  talk for a good quality post"

Here's my searches answers for questions about merit.
You can earn merits by just simply posting constructive and useful posts. Enjoy on posting don't understand if you're post will be merited it will merited if your post deserves it.

Please stop overusing images like this, which makes your thread a little bit messy.
In addition, my fingers hurt a bit due to over-scrolling computer mouse.
Please stop it, fella.
