How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

Having a dream to make $1m is great and should motivate you to do the best way to achieve it but you did it wrong since you use gambling as the way to chase your dream.
It is OK to have a profit target in gambling but we also have to be realistic as well in all situation while trying to achieve the target.
Do not force yourself to chase your gambling goal, enjoy all your gambling session, act wisely while winning and losing.
$1 million is a big number.
So far, I have never seen direct evidence of a win of up to $ 1 million that a gambler gets.
If pursuing it may feel impossible or even difficult, but if it is used as motivation to be able to bet even better, maybe it will be more useful to have that dream.

But if we look at him, he is a gambler who has pretty good luck because of the several wins he can get.

I doubt that you had so many wins and did not ever make a screenshot or a photo of these wins. Don't get me wrong, if you actually did it it's great and I envy you, but in the Internet everybody is a winner Wink

If you set yourself a goal like for you it's a million dollars but you keep starting with low bets like 10k or something similar, you'll never make it. Statistically the more x you want to get it get's progressively harder. Getting 2x is easy, 10 x is very hard, but you're already winning 100x, like with your 1-100k bet and it's still not enough for you. You would like to see a miracle where you turn 1k into a million and it's probably not going to happen. You're really lucky and you're wasting it.

I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

OP, you got the wrong orientation on gambling and you don't need to gamble because you want to win big. If you do this you will end up in great loss. You should see gamble as fun and not dreams or else you will give all that you have to gamble and still won't win that your target amount. You should try to have self-control over your gambling activities and also change your mindset of winning $1000000 because it is impossible for it to come true. See gambling as fun and not to make profit or else you will keep on chasing your loss and you will be addicted to gambling. I have a gambling budget that I use for my gambling activities and when it is exhausted,I stop gambling and I try as much as possible not to allow my emotions control me.

Motivational speakers will advise that in life you should never give up until you achieve your goal but that advice does not apply to gambling. Sometimes in gambling if you have set a very huge target for yourself as an amount to win before you quit gambling and then you notice that before you are meeting this target you are making too many losses that is ruining your life, you should stop. If you keep pushing yourself even if you are achieve that goal tomorrow you will set a higher one for yourself because you would not to be satisfied for long, best thing is to stop chasing right now and just play for fun.

Ask yourself this question- why do you gamble in the first place? Is it for glory; or for profit?

Once you identify the answer to that question, then that would generally provide a background for your answer. If what you claimed is indeed true, then turning such a relatively small amount of money to large winnings in sports-betting is by itself a feat that only a handful of people that have accomplished. The fact that you made it that far means that you have attained like 1% of the people.

If your answer is that you gamble for profit, then you should know when to stop. For example, you claimed that you have turned $1,000 into $100,000. Why not stop from there? Why not repeat the same cycle of betting consistent $1,000 instead of going all-ins? The risk is too great for you to incur that losses in the first place.

This is the very definition of what gambling is, YOLO style. And I thought that it's easy on you mate, but just like any other gamblers, it really hurts to see those money or winning just swept from you because of that one mistake or those that you want to chase.

And it just shows that it's hard to do it, unless you are really lucky and turn your money into $1 million. Your last thread though, for sure everyone is waiting for the good results, unfortunately you also lost that one.

It's easy to forget if it only happened one time but considering the list of OP's good runs to failed YOLO is really frustrating no matter how strong he is to handle his emotion in regards to gambling loss. I think everybody will agree that this amount is already enough to change someone's life and actually he is already close to his goal if he will sum up his final bankroll in case he manages to take a profit. OP has a talent on sports betting, I think he can always bounce back but he needed someone who will guide him or will control him in times when he was itchy to all-in.

@OP, why not launch your own free tipster so that you will have someone to discuss and follow your bets. This way, you will be self-controlled on your bets because you knew that someone is following you.

It's obvious that you can't control yourself and that you don't have the right strategy to achieve your goal - although I doubt that even $1 million would be something that would satisfy you or prevent you from doing the same stupid thing again. If you can't help yourself from making the same mistake, at least don't bet everything on one match, but divide the amount you have into equal parts and place bets on different matches.

You've just failed to secure your profits and even your starting bankroll. That's where you're falling and that's what you need to fix, so if you're always ending going all in then stop going all in when you've been winning such amounts.

I am sure that many will tell you that if we're the ones that have won such amounts, we'll firstly secure the profit that we've made and then will gamble with anything that's left. If you are this good then you need to secure your profits as well so that you can keep going on with your won money and no new money that's coming from your pocket will be spent.

Acceptance.
Accept that you'd more often lose than win; that's what gambling is even if odds are 50:50. Such mindset will help you to not be wrecked because of losing an amount. It is more of mentally preparing oneself of the worse case scenario. Ofcourse it won't be easy. It is money we are talking to or money which is not easily earned. You've worked hard for it and being sad from losing it is a normal response. As I've said, learning how to accept things would set you free. No regrets should be felt 'coz if you win, things would be different on how you would respond or feel. As a gambler you just grabbed the chance of winning and making your money bigger. Unfortunately, there's no certainty with gambling.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This is the reality in gambling. There's no such thing such as winning everyday. You'll experience losses, disappointments, and regrets. Like I always say, it's not just sunshine and rainbows. There are also storms in gambling. If you are not prepared for it, then don't gamble at all.

We always have to put limitations whenever we want to risk something. If you want to gamble, you have to set healthy boundaries that you will have to follow for your own sake. Otherwise, you'll end up losing your funds and losing yourself in the process. Greed and ambition should be limited to an extent that will not hurt you in the process. Because no matter how high the rewards will be, the risk will be as high too.

It is very difficult and almost impossible. Because it is hard to believe that your luck will always work so well. Maybe you could do it but I couldn't fully believe it without some kind of proof. Your post is giving financial advice to many and many are getting inspired to gamble.  So please don't give financial advice to anyone if your story is false. It can hurt many people financially. It is possible to win a lot from gambling. But it is the fate of very few people.  So it is foolish to be inspired by it. Because which you have made possible may not be possible for me

I remember someone telling me in the real world "if you are familiar with gambling and do your activities in online or offline gambling, remember: don't ever cross your mind and think you are better than the gambling industry" those words remind me what happened to the OP.
example:
With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I think that if we have touched the world of gambling, it means: we have touched the world of the devil, all of us here know what the devil does to humans, it doesn't matter if we bet in sports circles, slots, poker and so on, remember the devil can control all of that, to make humans ambitious, dissatisfied and want to pursue something we have never found, high hallucinations want to achieve a goal that has never been met, that is the most devastating human war against gambling.

For that, the only way you can overcome dissatisfaction, and can control yourself in greed, fight the devil and lust, that's the way to overcome greed in gambling.

It's easy all you have to do is to take a small profit and don't make it one time $1 million one session
So if you turned your $1000 into $10000 withdraw the profit and you're $900k to go, since you are good in sports betting you can reach it in a short period of time.

The key is to accumulate not hitting it one time.

I guess when you are penniless, you keep coming because you can still sustain it, don't continue chasing that its ok to hold on to that dream but continuously doing that you will suffer financially, get profit from time to time and enjoy the profit, you are actually chasing losses and it's a trap that will take a toil in you mentally and financially.

I see you are a fearless gambler and a high-risk taker. I have not been as fortunate as you are maybe because I am not a risk taker. Your strategy is faulty because there is always a need to withdraw your winnings and invest them in other sectors. I think gambling is not a full-time job or a good investment so there is a need to plan how to maximize your win. You will not always win so you need a saving or investment that you can always fall back to when you have no money. It is nice that you have a target to win one million dollars but you don't have to wait till you attain your mark before you start utilizing your little wins. If I had won half of what you have won, I would have achieved most of my long-term goals. I think you should start thinking about investing some of your wins because, from your comments, you are not pleased with your gambling life. I think you have misused some golden opportunity to gain financial freedom through gambling.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

I can't help but feel a mix of disgust and pity every time I read such bullshit stories. Seriously, where's the proof, man? All I see are empty claims and some fake bet slips that can be easily manipulated (we all know how easy it is to fake screenshots). So, you're such a big-shot gambler? Then why the hell do you need other people's money? You claim to have raked in $555,000 in just a month? Bravo! Just keep doing that a few more times, and voila, you're a freaking millionaire! Easy peasy.

But here's the kicker. Every few months, you pop up on the forum with the same old story. Are you that desperate for attention and validation from strangers? Or are you just trying to lure in gullible suckers to fall for your scam? Come on, we're not buying into your little game. Maybe one day you'll wake up and realize how pathetic you look. And who knows, maybe you'll actually do something worthwhile with your time instead of trying to deceive people. But I won't hold my breath.

I also think so, these numbers just don't make sense to me, they are made up. The whole story is also from the beginning like a drunken story, making no sense at all. And the funny thing is most people still respond to his story and don't question the numbers he says, LOL

I am no psychologist but reading your post i really get the impression, that you are just the type of person that should not gamble at all because you don't seem to be able to control your emotions and your desire at all. Of course everyone would like to make the magical 1 Million $ someday be it with gambling with sports betting or with investments. That does not mean though that you need to achieve that 1 M$ withing a single trade or withing a single bet.
If you would add up all betting wins that you temporarily already had, then you would already be pretty close to that magical 1 Million mark. So if you really can not control yourself, then the best would probably be to stop doing what you are doing.

You're good at sports betting, but your problem is you cannot control yourself. If you've experienced already countless similar failures where you win yet in the end you lose everything, you should have learned your lesson already. For you to get over it, you need to stop losing that much by getting satisfied with what you've initially won. You need to control yourself cause having too much greed won't lead to any good result. That's why it always end up losing more than what you've won. Whenever you win, try to only use a portion of your winnings to make another bet so when you lose, there's still some profit left.
