You get trust by earning it via trades and being a helpful/active member of the community, but you shouldn't seek it out. If you're active here and participate in trading bitcoin in whatever ways you'll acquire it over time but if you're not doing any trades or anything helpful you won't really get it or even need it.

I was also wondering. I thank for this explanation sir. I've read arguments on red trust signs at the other side of this forum and their quite funny. So if i don't trade i wouldn't really need this trust rating. I hope i could gain a good reputation in this forum. I still have a long way ahead by the way. 😊
You can get a good reputation here just by help others here not financially but you can help them and be active and never deal and asking for positive trust you can just gain it if you deal to some DT here with high amount and if they think you are trusted you can get the positive trust and also you can get positive feedback ..
Just don't scam someone be active and help can give you trust feedback in the future if you help a lot. .

Thank you sir. It is a nice feeling that there are still concern people who worry about the less knowledgeable folks like me. Some are too busy making money (bitcoins).  Grin

How do you get someones trust rating down? someone gave me a bad trust rating because i was being funny, instead of acknowledging it he gave me a bad trust rating for being butthurt. i 2would like to give him a bad trust rating for acting 2 fast and irreponsible. Instead of pointing me the finger he just ruined my reputation on this sitz.

Well you can just return the feedback if you wanted but since neither of you are on default trust it won't effect your rating to others. Instead of leaving retaliatory feedback though you could just try work it out with him instead.

Edit: the feedback you have received is neutral (unless he changed it).

Hello All,

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right board, if it's not mods please move it. But I just signed up for bitcointalk back in may and just got upgraded to junior member and I see my trust rating is still at 0. I don't really know how the system works so I was wondering if someone could tell me how I build my trust rating what do I have to do on the forum?

Thanks

Adamantasaurus

Pretty hard to get trust nowadays, no one will ever give trust for a simple trade for Bitcoin or anything else. To get trust you must risk a pretty good amount of your Bitcoin to someone else, but the problem with that the people who will give you trust will ask you to go first anyway. Your trust needs to grow also, to become green like some other people's dark green trust.

Don't sell thing just for trust, that may inherit a negative trust.

Read the post below that and take that stick out of your ****
Nice way to come back about it ? Why are you even mad ?

I consider myself one of the good guys, you could trust me with your private key and i still wouldn't take your money.

Edit: unless we are like talking about 100 bitcoins cause you know uhh... :p
I don't are what you are,I'll judge upon your actions on the forum. For now,yes did seem desperate for the trust ratings. If you are openly admitting that you'd change your behavior if 100 bitcoins are involved, does that make you trustworthy ?  I doubt it.

You're to easy to troll. You just can't handle a joke. Good luck with that.

The thread was made for a serious question, a lot of newbies, even old members, doesn't know how it works, if you want to troll you should go to another place. There's a lot of topics on the forum that are not so serious
Good luck to you too  Wink

Hey i have a television i want to sell, will that get me any trust?
You sound desperate you get the trust hence I left a neutral trust with a warning to not do trades with you just for building trust as OP needs them *desperately*.
You need to understand how trust system works, contribute constructively to the forum and establish a rep rather than just trust by doing a few trades.
Btw,why do you need trust anyway ?

but you shouldn't seek it out.

I just want to second this advice as it was buried a bit in the original comment.

People will leave you negative trust if you ask to receive trust for some interaction as a means or condition of the transaction itself. I did this, with completely honest intention (meaning if I were to perform said transaction poorly I would expect to receive negative trust for it) and was given negative trust by more than one individual here.

Trust is a very sensitive thing here, proceed carefully.

Don't misuse the trust system and hope that others won't misuse it against you.

AH ok, cool thanks yea I'm trying to sell my gtx 1070s and pcie riser on here if I sell them would I still get trust (instead of trading) I also sent someone 5eth for a bitmain acct. with D3 miner orders on it but idk if that would help my trust or not? So if I wanted to exchange bitcoin for ETH/LTC etc. with someone that would boost up my trust rating?

Well that's up to the users you trade with but they should leave feedback if the deals go well. Bear in mind that there's also two kind of trust ratings depending on what level of trust network the users are on but you shouldn't worry about that (see the link eddie13 posted for more info).

List it in the marketplace but don't sell things just to get trust.

Dude i was trolling :p

gotcha!

You get trust by earning it via trades and being a helpful/active member of the community, but you shouldn't seek it out. If you're active here and participate in trading bitcoin in whatever ways you'll acquire it over time but if you're not doing any trades or anything helpful you won't really get it or even need it.
