They are actually pretty straight forward, depending on the rules, you can choose variety of options for you to get your ticket, either choose a wide range of number, combination of numbers or just limited stated by the rules, pay for the ticket then wait till the lottery spins, then the result comes.
It's the same on lottery irl, it depends on the rules.

I am sure that if you look, there is at least once you can find. Someone should verify but Stake seems to have it. Lottery is associated with gambling but not private casinos because usually lotteries are operated by the government or the state.

Many casinos do not like lotteries as it involved huge payouts with only a few winners. It is not the most profitable nor most in demand for them. Casinos mainly focus with games that could easily hook a gambler in and would want him coming back for more.

You're not picking numbers but perhaps you might be interested in metawin's competitions. You pretty much buy entries as well and hope to be drawn.

The end of the year comp -- metawin millionaire -- has launched couple of days ago, too. Basically, a percentage of entries will go to the jackpot thus, it grows. I personally think it will go over a million. 100 winners will be picked.

This is huge my gambling expenses for the week is set at 50$ so anything above that will be a no no for me to join, though was thinking a ticket would be within that range but having to see 0.005BTC is ~ 480$ if I am not mistakenly. Lotteries are still being discussed here and there. They're not always visible in the gambling discussion board because they tend to discuss it on the ANN threads of the casinos they use.

There have been many issues with freebitco in the past months and I recommend everyone to avoid it.
The previous round of freebitco lambo lottery was ended more than 40 days ago. They haven't announced the winner yet, the support isn't responsive to complaints and now they are selling tickets for the new round.

There is really no specialty or any special way to participate in a lottery. Usually, those organizing the contest defines the means which could range from having to buy a ticket to just picking a random number and there would be a means to define who won. Some of the lottery contest could decide to use the Bitcoin price at a certain date and time or perhaps, use the blockchain to determine winners.
