How to know if the airdrop you joined is LEGit or not?
I'm not sure if this will make you easy to decide which legit airdrop but the majority of airdrop look crap in this time. There will be no more airdrop will become a legit project in the future just like decred. As you can see the majority of airdrop right now doesn't provide the business plan that makes sense. They are having only interest to raised a lot of money.
But look at the whitepaper and business plan.

No good plan in many of airdrop make them very high scam and just want to collect money like you said.
So join airdrop is only when we are free because if you use your tite time to work on airdrop, you will be regret by missing other good job.

How to know if the airdrop you joined is LEGit or not?

Airdrop is a simple opportunity to gain small or high profit so sometimes there are many scam or fake airdrops spreading all over the community. How to avoid fake airdrop? You can access the contract address of that coin in etherscan.io then check if the supply is legit and can airdrop hundreds of people. Then you should check the roadmap of the project for you tell and determine the reason why theyre implementing such airdrops.

Unfortunately it's generally hard to tell just by viewing the airdrop itself. The airdrop is most likely legit if the ICO itself isn't a scam. Due to that, you'd probably need to conduct basic due diligence. If they aren't a scam and you don't receive your tokens, they should have a support staff whom can assist further.

c'mon airdrop is free money. you can't expect much for free stuff. everyone knows that airdrops usually is made just for advertisement, so a project can attract more money.

How to know if the airdrop you joined is LEGit or not?
Whitepaper should be the first thing to give an insight of how legitimate a project is and the percentage  of tokens meant for the airdrop can hint on the legitimacy of a project.

First, of all see if they really have a good project. If the project they are proposing is really that great see next the team of developers who will be carrying out the said project. If the developers and the project is good then it's ok. There's nothing wrong in doing airdrops just stay away from identity verification like government ID.

How to know if the airdrop you joined is LEGit or not?

It is hard to determine if the airdrop you joined is Legit. There are lots of scammer circulating in the internet asking for donations to be able to send you and airdrop the afterwards if they had already got those donations they would just suddenly disappear. We have to check first and foremost the website they have provided and check on the whitepaper as well as the background of the people who controls that particular coin. With that i think it would help a bit to know the identity of the airdrop but of course it would not guaranteed us that it is really legit. We do still need to be careful in joining airdrops.

You basically can’t tell if it’s legit before hand. It’s normally much quicker to just go for it and if it’s legit it should payout. Nevertheless it’s the subscription process you need to pay attention to. If it requires you to give them info which you are not comfortable with, give it a pass. It private keys are demanded then no go. If you are required to create an account on a given website then consider if it’s worth while.

Lately airdrops are of all sorts: some offer a reasonable amount of tokens, while some are down to just one or two tokens/coins. Others look more like a traditional bounty campaign than an airdrop, requesting multiple tasks to be performed.
This week I have seen one that offers 0,002 eth; not worth even the minimal effort.

Honestly the time you could spend researching the team, the project, the roadmap and so on, you could just sign up for other 3 airdrops at least! It's an airdrop, you're not going to invest in an ICO. Consider this, and be wary of projects that ask documents for a simple airdrop, you don't want to give away your passport for a couple of dimes!

Before interacting with any new cryptocurrency, it is always essential that you do your research and believe in the vision behind the technology. Keep an eye out for scams and remember that a legitimate project has no reason to ask for your private information.

mostly just join airdrops and don't read or learn about the project because don't want to waste time just for small amount free token. because most of airdrops are valueless. it's hard to find a legit airdrops.

It's hard to tell until the tokens have actually been distributed.  You can mitigate risks by doing research on the team involved, reading the whitepaper, and seeing how well thought out the overall project is before deciding to sign up for an airdrop.

How to know if the airdrop you joined is LEGit or not?

Well, you have to get to know the project doing the airdrop more. You have to make some kind of a due diligence. Basically, it is the same process as getting to know an ICO whether it is legit or not. Because an airdropped coin and a coin offered in an ICO are both new coins which are being introduced by a certain project. So what you will do to know whether the coin is valuable or not is to carefully examine the project. You have to scrutinize the very important details. You have to know the team who put up such project.
