You can learn from research that you have done deception or not. You do not need to worry about joining the projects that you are going to do about the project after the ominous research.

How do you know if it is a scam? Because I have encountered a bounty that let me finish all the translations first and didn't respond to me after I have passed it. I hope bounties will not be like this anymore because they demand and we did our part but they didn't do theirs. I hope you could answer my question.

We doesn't had any clue if its scam or not. However, bounty programs that were managing by well known bounty managers are good choice. I'm not telling that is 100% scam free. We all need to take risk in this industry. Sometimes reading whitepapers and checking the project website is a good idea, by this you can tell if the project has a potential.

There are a lot of bounty campaigns out there and most of them looks like legit. You can only know for sure once you experience it. Maybe you can check the bounty manager. If the manager has already have some successful campaign in the past, most likely its legit.

The set of different checks can help to reveal to skam. For a start it is possible to look who carries bounty campaign at a btt forum if it is the known command. which conducted many campaigns, these are nearly 100% a warranty that this bounty not deception. Further it is possible to use web sites for check (for example icoBench, topicolist, icowatchlist). Also read a white list to be convinced that ico will be engaged in real and demanded things. Check a developer team, in the real project nobody will hide the faces. Having made such check, you considerably will increase the chances to select the normal project.

That's the common strategy of some scammers of this furom. You let them to work hard to get some stakes and at the end the bounty manager will run and left them all. Most of the thing happen if the bounty manager is not so known on this furom.

The more popular the electronic market, the more people that participate in the bounty, the more people who are targeted to scammers. Do as much research as possible. When there is enough information and information, it is much easier to find your own interests.
You're right about what you said cause i could remember correctly that was no issue of ICO scam right before high traffic and once the high traffic there was issue of ICO scam there and there. I will advice people to always ask about a project on here before they invest.

We could know for sure.
The First time i joined a sig campaign, A month ago. I followed a Project and actually joined all the program i could.
Cause i trust the Bounty Manager who manage it( I have been following this BM for quite some time now, and i dont blame him cause we are all victims).
but it turns out, it was a scam. 3 of the so Called Team they have posted in their website turns to be, a real existing people. However, they arent linked nor work for the team.
And After that the team, was gone. All the investors and hunters, are devastated.
I was really shock. I joined all the bounties, i could and even invested some money.

It is difficult to know in advance. It happens that the campaign seems stable and serious, and then the project turns out to be a scam as it was with the envion project. In order to minimize risks, I now only enter into a bounty from trusted managers.

Project current scams are more difficult to track because they also know about weakness. And I think it will be hard to distinguish which one is the real project or just a fraud. Yes to anticipate I guess check the members who reside in the ICO project, we look for their trip. If they have a nice trip certainly project can be followed.

There are lot of ways to check if a certain bounty campaign or ICO is a scam in which the most common is to check the bounty manager if it is a reputable person in which better he is a famous and branded experts of handling bounty campaigns because for me the bounty manager will always check well the projects before accepting it because there reputation is at stake.

Just take a serious reading on whitepaper and you will know if the project is legit or not. Reading this might help you to spot some wrong info in their whitepapers that can be lead to scams.

Unfortunately, reading the whitepaper is not going to be enough. A lot of scam projects are coping the real projects that has some success. You have to check everything, just to make sure it is legit or at least looks legit.
you are right, let alone the fraudsters are very clever to hide their cheating. besides checking the whitepaper, we should also monitor the website, especially from the project team. can also see the rating on the website that gives a review about ico.

I think there are red flags if you check out google and you can't find them on these popular ico rating site also if the team doesn't seems to be traceable or have an online presence. It might just be a scam.
Maybe that is one way of detecting a scam mate but not all of us here will be doing that. For me, visit their whitepaper and then look at their team members and made a research for yourself with the name given in the whitepaper. If you found something then say something on the forum.

It very hard to know a bounty that is scam when it comes to bounty because the ICO may be successful but the manager turning out to be a scammer making away with all the bounty participants rewards, so at that it very hard to know the bounty that will turn out as a scam.

My first opt out for any bounty is the team.. I dont bother participating in any bounty that didn't reveal the name and faces of their team members.. Showing faces doens't really matter for some of this scams though, but thats my first criteria..

A good project certainly has a good team structure and obviously, if the project does not have a clear team it is prone to fraud. then the rules that exist in the project must also be clear, and not messy. then the allocation of prizes also makes sense, if there is a project that is not clear with the allocation of funds that are too large, and the lure of the prize is too big it is also prone to scam.
