Well first question is did you visit any websites that you should't in perfect world? like torrents sites and so on. If you have some craked software on your pc, there is big change you may have a keylogger of some sort on your pc. To make your pc clean is not that easy, even clean install might not help. So if you planning on investing 10K+ I would suggest buy a new cheap laptop, with official software and you will only use it to trade and access reputable exchange sites and buy encryption software so all your data will be encrypted. This will reduce speed of your laptop a lot so it would not be good to play games but it will be very secure. This is what big IT firms do on their laptops that they give to their workers.

If you can afford to get fresh laptop, you could get a fresh hard drive and do the same, or simple follow what other have said here, clean your pc with malwarebytes, ccleaner defrager and so on. Hope it helps Smiley

The following can help you keep your computer clean

Make sure that your computer hard drive is clean. Download a software called Cleaner or Tuneup Utilities. It will help keep your computer a lot cleaner

Don't download software from just any website. Make sure that the website is trusted, and even if you do download something--and find it useless--make sure you delete it from your computer.

Using programs to keep your computer clean is not the exact right idea. It uses a lot of space and also can cause system errors. Instead try using the tools that Windows has given you:

Run Disk Cleanup once a week to remove unnecessary (temporary files) files

Run Disk Defragmenter to defrag your hard disk once a month (you don't need to overdo it). Defragment after deleting some files and emptying the Recycle Bin.

Defragment before installing new programs so they will not get fragmented in case there are gaps in the hard drive media when it would be installed.

Keep your computer safe from viruses by making sure that you use a safe web browser. After all, prevention is better than cure. Research shows that Internet explorer is more prone and vulnerable to attacks from hackers than any other web browser. Try using Firefox and adding McAfee Site Adviser to it if you wish

You'll need to provide your computer specs and which operating system you are running. Mac? Windows? Are you using a SSD? How much RAM?

Hello,

Since two weeks I'm into this new world of crypto currency and bitcoin and well I want to buy my first millibitcoin in order to see how all this works !

But before I do this I need to download a wallet and before I download my wallet I need to be sure my computer is clean, obviously.

How are you sure your computer is clean?
My anti-malware is the basic windows defender. And of course I have CCleaner.

I reccomend using the virtual machine. You can also reinstall your OS from time to time - that's a guaranteed way. Have a good PAID antivirus, and also just be aware - don't click to suspicious links or ads.

Use CCleaner and Malwarebytes as a good start to helping clean up some junk and broken files and to clean up some space to make your computer run smoother Smiley also check out what programs are checked to run at startup you could catch something easily that way.

I usually just backup certain files and reinstall my os but that might not be ideal if you are using windows or mac. Obviously a good antivirus is required after.

I will prefer to antivirus Kaspersky or Norton

For me, the best one is Eset Antivirus Security Smiley

For me as well. But I've heard that there are viruses that are very carefully hidden. And the virus-miner is very dangerous now. I also have Kaspersky and I still trust him
