Any expansion has to be a good team. They must be honest and genuinely compassionate. They must also have successful ideas. They must do their best to ensure the success of their distribution. And supporters of the prosperity must be encouraged. They have to maintain their distribution fairly. This expansion will be successful.

A good question is a lot of factors for a successful project - a successful product that is really unique and will be in demand on the market. A strong team of professionals: experience in this area, the adviser has dealt with similar projects before, the ico personalities in the world. Partners, sponsors, a good advertising company, listing on exchanges, etc.

Why everyone forgot about technology and real working product?

Marketing is only a part of a product.
However, later or sooner you will need a product, which is work according to the "marketing promises".

You need to take care of:
- team: motivated, goal oriented and responsible
- concept
- MVP
- market tests and proof of concept
- UI/UX
- killer features
- optimization
- security of transactions
- why are you going to use the blockchain
- marketing strategy, which supposes to cover PR, promotion, product optimization, and flexibility
- hundreds of working hours, crunches and deadlines
- develop, test, improve, repeat

+ tons of other unpredictable events, which can have an influence(positive or negative).

good announcement thread, good marketing team and then use campaign manager is good handle project
I will add that one should be a good coach for an ICO team, that he/she hired to stick to the main goals and stay always clear of what all team`s doing at every stage.

Here I have found the WOW ICO marketing plan

The ICO era is currently in it’s rising phase, and each day the media talks about the latest news revolving around cryptocurrency. We are waiting for the top ICO from the company Telegram to become the biggest ICO in crypto history, as it will raise over $5 billion dollars.

At the end of 2017,the average number of ICO campaigns closed to three per day. There are a lot of unsuccessful ICOs out there that have failed to reach their soft cap (proven by confessions from some of the teams), so it is not as easy to make one now as it was back in 2017. So we could finally forget about “Garage ICOs” and become more serious about this form of fundraising.

In terms of ICO marketing, the total budget for success is rising and so is the initial cost of investments. You must create a prototype and gain the approval from the communities and advisors if you want to succeed.

The average cost for outsourcing ICO marketing to one of top agencies starts from around $280,000, not including the legal fees that run for about $20,000

In this article we will discuss the costs of starting an ICO this year. We will also include comments from agency experts and ad network owners.

1. ICO Listings
Variant 1 — outsource to agency

The cost: $25,000

What to expect:

At least 10 popular ICO listings
Paid options included
Variant 2 — by yourself
The cost: ~$15,000 (you should include manager’s salary so he or she can send the information)

Top listings cost:

http://www.coinschedule.com/ — 0.02 BTC
https://www.ico-list.com/ — 0.3 BTC
https://tokenmarket.net/ — Free, manually screened, up to 2 weeks
Icoalert.com — Free
https://cointelegraph.com/ico-calendar — start from $10000
ICO Rating Agencies
There are special types of companies that could audit and rate your ICO for investors. You will receive a special report of investment attractiveness of your ICO and could be listed.

https://digrate.com/ — 1 BTC for report
https://icorating.com/ — $20,000 for report
https://icobench.com/ — Starts from 0.4 BTC
Optimum Strategy
The best strategy will be to place your ICO on Coinschedule, get ratings from ICORating, Digrate, or any other rating service (it will help you to summarize leaks in your ICO), and start pushing FREE listings in order to place your ICO. Don’t forget that ICO ratings appear everyday as well as die everyday too. They start their ratings from parsing the top lists, so you could gain additional traffic that way as well.

Brian Kean, Chief Business Development Officer ICORating.com:

More importantly, the project should be well “packed.” All the materials (white paper, one-pager, web-site, etc.) should be composed in the language of the investors so that it will make the project more attractive to them. It is important to note that in 2018, investors into ICO will become more professional and there will be more players from the traditional financial market amongst them.
Secondly, it is extremely important to build personalized relations with the investors: to contact them directly, to pitch them at a crypto event, to organize personal meeting with them. It is important to note that the information about the projects rated by ICORating is mailed to the list of funds, thus significantly raising their chances to be noticed. Generally, well developed relations with investors, and the agreements with them, ensures that at least the soft cap is collected during the ICO.
Yaroslav Lunev, Strategy Head @ Merklion Agency: t.me/yardy

Personally, I like ICObench and ICOdrops. These guys knows what they’re doing, and this is why more and more people trust them, a fact reflected in the traffic numbers. I remember them first starting out, having a good dialog with the audience right from the start.

To make your project successful, you need to focus on its main features, point out what the project is developing. For example, a new and, in my opinion, promising project Caspian provides a single interface in all major crypto exchangers, a complete set of sophisticated real-time trading algorithms and P&L history and professional customer service. The project team emphasizes these merits of the project, thus promoting it.

To have a successful project, transparency is definitely one of the key factors. Transparency leads to trust, trust lead to power, power gathers people and these people with power will form a group to invest if it is suitable for them. Well, at least to me it is the utmost important thing. If you "claim" you have something but you do not deliver it, where most of the projects do out there, it is had to establish the brand integrity.

As for me, that is, three components of success (they are the most important): this is the availability of a good product, the real one that is in demand and needed in the market. Then you need strong sponsors and advisers-they will help advance the project. And of course the team is better if it is specialists in the area where the project is going to work.  Next come all sorts of nuances, the specifics of the direction.

I think anyone with a decent enough idea can create a project. But the success is reflected on the amount of hard work you put in... If you make a 10 page whitepaper nobody will take you serious, if you make a 100 page whitepapers with copy paste arguments then its trash also.

Very basic but fundamental: You and your team have to believe in the success. If that is the case, everyone will invest enough time and energy to achieve the goal. If you are not 100% convinced of your idea, you will probably be the first stumbling block yourself.

The assets of a good project  to be successful are the overall performance of a good team. You should make good plans, in able to see how the project will work, marketing strategies so that market will know about the project and goals of course. Lastly, the most important is manpower. If you have good plans, marketing strategies and goals but you do not have people who will work for it, those things will be useless that is why we have bounties. You are encouraging people to join the project in order to promote and introduce ICO's.  This is one of the best picture how an ICO succeed.  But, make sure that you will pay them right for the services they offered because this is the way to encourage them to work for bounties again, no for scamming. Just be in good faith to pay them back which really deserve them. In this way, everyone succeed and everybody are happy.

For me its a project itself first. When the vision of that particular project is good, then its gonna be successful. Depending on what it offers, how is it helping us and how future centered it is, people get involved. And the another one is a dedicated, knowledgeous, focused team bexause they are the one who has the huge responsibility of pushing that project forward. So thats what i would say, makes a project successful.
