Picking a good signature campaign is like choosing a good ICO.
Look out for credible team members with good reputation,
Project with a viable idea that can sell,
Good bounty manager,
Campaign with a shorter time frame is also preferable
Etc.

Proof of development, real world utility are important.  But also like to choose bounties for undervalued coins which give out a lot of coins to bounty hunters but very few people actually buy in as it goes under the radar, but if its code is legit and utility is valid it will then skyrocket leaving the bounty hunters rather wealthy.  Oyster bounty hunters ended up with 50k+ each which was the last coin I was truly excited about.

Though since I am just getting back in I joined one with a week left while I could get my bearings.  Like the idea but haven't performed the litmus test, it is just a week.  I might try cycling every two weeks.

In order not to be disappointed try to support the project that you like. Maybe ICO will fail, but you will know that you have tried to do something useful to a good project.

You can do your own research to find a good project to do their bounty signature campaign.
The thing that you can do to find a good project is : Read their whitepaper and roadmap, looking for their team member bio, the idea of the project, etc.

Im picking signature by examining its bitcointalk thread, whitepaper, The Hard cap and soft cap target of the ICO. A very competent and trusted Campaign manager here in bitcointalk, and If the white paper is well presented and the team it consist has experience in cryptocurrency.

I think the same attention one should give and pay if one is to invest in an Ico is same to be given when choosing out any bounty campaign with its signature part inclusive. I tell you, its will be disastrous and very painful when after many weeks of intense work of posting on this thread, one should now find out that the ICO will turns nothing or scam, the experience won't be to good to start with. Henceforth, one needs to study well the project, whitepaper, the team/dev and also the Bounty team. I have participated in several campaigns of a particular bounty team that almost every time, I will always have to languish and gnash my teeth, when payments are due. So watch out for the right ones.

What criteria do you guys use to pick your signature campaigns.  With some of them lasting 2-3 months it seems like a critical decision and I'm not quite sure how to go about it.  With all the scams out there I am fearful of picking a junker which not only hurts me but the people looking at my promotions.  I would like to have one picked out for when I switch over to Jr Member.

Well, what you need to do is research for the project you want to get involved with.
Not logical if you campaigning about the project, but you don't believe in the project itself.
While studying the project, you will find out whether it is worth your time to get involved or not.

Well, yeas, the decision is critical. You have to look at the team of the project and of course the product, try to assume how perspective it is. I also read different opinions about the project and advice with my friends

Hello everyone! First of all, I study the project, what it does, whether it can interest. Pay attention to the team. Be sure to find out what the reward is and how many people are involved in the signature.

First of all, I want to say if you are a signature campaign, you are stone. Recently, the number of membership on the forum has increased so much that finding a signature campaign has become very difficult. If you come to Bounty's campaigns, it's likely that many projects will come out scam, so it's a good idea to do a good research and choose your signature. Although it is perceived as a money coming from the air, it is important to remember that it is a labor and most important time for that money.

I rely on this google spreasheet. It's summary of all campaigns run by the best bounty managers. Don't need to search for the good campaign all over the forum - they are all here with the latest updates. I prefer to choose a signature campaign managed by experienced and trusted bitcointalk members rather than some shady newbie (even he/she is the part of the ICO team).
But still, it is advisable to look through the website and whitepaper beforehand (uniqueness of the idea, real people as members of a team, softcap/hardcap, launch of MVP etc) and calculate your stakes based on a number of participants, a size of a bounty pool and price for 1 token let alone the duration of the campaign. My preference is a 4-6 week campaign with >30% bounty pool.

I always choose bounty signature projects that are managed by great managers. well-known managers are successful in managing many projects. (I'm always interested in choosing project from sylon , although the distribution of his coins is relatively long)

If you want to invest in a project you have to carry out critical review of the project so that you can get a good deal and not fall for scam or worthless tokens.

Likewise in doing a bounty. Since you will keep your funds,  it's imperative you also consider analysing the project well.

first thing to look was bounty pool, if it's % from token sold than NO. cause we don't know if it's a succes or not.
second was the bounty manager, better look for a good one that want to help participant if bounty reward was not payable. and there's a problem with the ICO project changging bounty pool in the process.

This is a very good question, I have been asking myself this for a long time and managed to participate in the campaign of signatures of several scam projects. Now I try to enter into the campaign of the project which besides good reputation and ratings has good current fees, it is desirable that a soft cap was collected. It is better to participate two weeks in a good project than two months in a scam project.

Keep these things in mind:

1. Always make sure that the signature campaign manager is holding a considerable amount of BTC in escrow.
2. Make sure that the campaign runs for at least one month.
3. Don't join any campaign, which asks for more than 25 posts per week.
