Poker is already considered as a gambling as long you are riking your money to make money then its definitely a gambling. I agree with you sports betting is somehow we could increase our chances of winning because of last performances or statistics of a certain team.

You are only considered smart in gambling if you will only focus in one game that your expertise will be applied, poker is a big form of gambling as that is not entertaining like sports betting but you can have a big chance to win as there is no house edge.

There's no such thing. You can't play gambling in a smart way, there are no strategies. Only luck, that's all you need to win. You never know when luck comes though, so we have to control ourselves whenever we're gambling.
