lol, if you ever buy a cell phone through Bitcoin faucets, I feel bad for you because you've probably wasted a year of your life with something you could've afforded easily with a job. Bitcoin isn't magic free money... It's amazing how many times you have to explain this to people, and I explain that when I'm talking about Bitcoin with people who don't know how it works.

Honestly there are a lot of people who are concerned about me paying for my bitcoins, because it's nothing that you can have that's tangible... When in all reality, it's no more tangible than the money they have in their checking accounts and they can monitor them on their bank statements.

Lol yeah bad explanation could make people get misleading, they could judge bitcoin bad if you tell and show faucet in their first impression . why? It looks bitcoiner = beggars that collecting a cents and absolutely wasted the time.
Try to make them impressed by other way , like tell them bitcoin is best thing to trade than fiat trade forex , bitcoin market opened 7 days a week .
Bitcoin is the best option to invest your money in long or short term because of it's fluctuations etc or something good that make bitcoin image awesome.

You could tell them to read or play a game about bitcoin, that should make them entertained.

Or you could show them what you earn from bitcoin, then they maybe will join up.

true, Yeah the video "what is bitcoin" it's really helpfull i've shared it on my facebook and twitter to my friend , moreover there is already "what is bitcoin" version in my native language so people dont understand english can learn about it yeah i think it's pretty cool

Yeah and nowadays the youths of the countries are very tech friendly with the existence of internet and smart phones and I am sure they would really love to learn a new technology in the form of bitcoins and once they are aware that they can make money with bitcoins then would surely start getting into it.

A Crypto-Currency that is on computers. I guess a better definition would be an irreversible online money you can somehow acquire. Then you would need to further identify specify how it works such as how to hold on, wallets, giving it to people, depositing or withdrawing it...etc

For me, I explain bitcoin first to my friends,
with out really knowledge about bitcoin is by
telling them what is it. and how CHEAP the transaction is.
I focus on using bitcoin to send money to their love ones.
because in here, every now and then people always
send money to their family or friends. Then I followed up with a
message that they can earn bitcoins online with out buying it.
such us faucets, sig. camp., trading etc. If I saw that he/she is interested,
I sometimes send them a little amount just to start with.

I also just started talking about it in informal conversation with my friends. Surprisingly, many of them started researching about it on their own.
