How does one Put down Gambling for good?

Why do you quit if you win? Smiley
If you lose constantly you should stop yourself, it's all about self-control. You probably can't cut it out immediately, you can decrease your playing time and amount. I play time to time, I don't have any addiction like that. If you can't control yourself you can seek a professional psychological help.

How to quit gambling.

1. Go get a job that pays a lot and you wouldn't think about gambling.
2. Go get a lady that can control your money.
3. Go have some fun at different places using that money that you have been working for.
4. Stop going to the gambling section.  Grin

I really like the idea of no.2.
If someone has your money you wont be able to waste your money on gambling.
Better yet you go and have fun with the lady that owns you.
I think it still won't work, even you have someone who control your money, as long as you can't control your self it's won't take any effect to your gambling habit.
I have a wife too, she control family funds yeah. but still I have tons of reason to ask her give me money to gamble Sad
you're right, I better save money on my own than left it with women, maybe they will use it for shopping. but better to entrust your mother, it probably will ensure that your money is not used in gambling  Smiley

he should stop gambling. he wants it so let him do it. you don't have to regret for him, and shouldn't. changing hobby and whatever yeah those are additional methods and as i said they are always welcome.

I am not pushing him to gambling that much, that is why I said why would he quit on gambling if he isn't addicted to it he can always come back if he like well it is still on him if he really really wants to quit that is not of my business your right I am just suggesting something that might apply for him for bitcoin purpose!

haven't gotten addicted to gambling can't be the reason to keep coming back to it. activities lead to habit, habits lead to characteristic, characteristics lead to destiny. gambling continuously leads to addiction.

How does one Put down Gambling for good?

I'd contact one of the problem gambling organisations that licensed casinos are required to advertise, like Gamblers Anonymous. There seem to several of them in every country. I guess it's a lucrative business model.

Well remember they earn a lot on taxes etc. So I don't think they will just put them down.
Since it's legal to operate a casino if you follow the rules it would not make sense to just put all casino's down.

Yes but I meant these organisations basically have the business idea to get the government or other organisations to pay them money. And they just make it sound good but the anti gambling addiction organisations are themselves dependent on the casino business. They definitely have money.
Indeed. But people think that you can earn some fast money with it and that is not true. They lose a lot of money.
And they are that realizing it to late and that is very bad. They must know that gambling is very bad to do.

I've used browser extensions to block myself from sites before. Very simple.

it was very simple indeed... But I don't think if gamblers won't cheat themselves, blocking it and unblocking it from time to time...its more like cigarette addiction, first they would stop smoking and then started to buy one stick and then back again and just repeating the same scenario... it needs a very strong "will" if you want to stop it alone without help from other people...

and if this happens, you will be worse than before. I don't think self-restrain is enough to quit gambling addiction. To better cure addiction, one must seek professional help. Also, help from friends and relatives is can do a lot to addicts. It makes them feel that they are not alone in their battle with their addiction.

How does one Put down Gambling for good?

It's really hard to put down gambling for good. I was into gambling once, literally in a huge amount of debt because of it. Unable to pay bills and borrowing money again for it. My life is a total wreck and at the brink of collapse. I realized that its not the way I wanted to live, running away from people I have borrowed money. It's almost like in prison. Not leaving the house, my parents doesn't know that I'm broke even if I'm working my ass off. I hate the feeling. I'm not into gambling sites so I just made it to a point that I don't have any money to spare every single time that I go out of the house. Every cent is allotted to something. So I don't make that extra trip to the casino or the bingo place to be more specific. LOL

You have to first realize that you have a gambling problem. After that, you get help. Well you should if you want to get rid of your problem. If you don't, then you're just asking to be stuck in the cycle.

If you are serious about stopping with gambling I would advice to find a hobby like sport.
You can watch it in the evening and play it during the day. Because it's healthy you will live better too.
I seriously to get out of gambling. I've been doing sports and playing playstation. but during leisure time I would always try to look livescore and trying to bet back. oh it feels wasted effort
haha i've same bad experience too when try to get out from gambling in first week all going well forgot gambling by doing some activies like sports, fishing, etc. but in second weeks i already deposit in gambling site.
the only way to get out from gambling is when you dont have some money. i'm sure you just can see liverscore but you can't gamble
Lower the starting bankroll. Try to withdraw early, but gradually dwindle the amount of bets/wagers that you do. When you start doing less of what causes the addiction, you start to lower your demand for it, along with your supply... (economics, woo!) and once you reach a level where you feel comfortable with an incredibly little amount of doing it, you can just simply stop and quit the habit.

Give it a shot. Start with what you usually gamble with and TRY to decrease it. If you can't, then you might wish to seek some help.
