Store Bitcoin on secure wallets. Don't store it on one wallet. Don't regularly open your wallet to just check the balance.
Don't public your profile. Beware of hackers.

The best way to secure your bitcoin is to put your bitcoins in to hardware wallets. The most Popular hardware wallets include the Ledger wallet and the TREZOR wallet. Because It doesn’t matter what the device is. As long as your device is connected to the internet, hackers may target you and compromise your best-laid security plans. But no one can hack a hard drive that sits in your filing cabinet.

How to Secure Bitcoins?

you must move your bitcoin to your safest wallet. It must be the only you that have control of your wallet.
if you use exchange wallet or web wallet, it has no guarantee that only you have full control.

Encryption adds a layer of security to a particular folder, file, or message as it can only be unlocked by someone who knows the right key to it. Thus encryption simply means using a password for being able to access the Bitcoin wallet. In cases where a desktop, mobile, or hardware wallet is used, encryption is even more important to protect from online rogues. Not only should the password be strong with the use of capital letters, numbers, and special characters, but it should either be memorized or kept at a very safe spot since the password recovery mechanism is very weak in the case of Bitcoin.

The offline mode of securing bitcoins is called cold storage. Cold storage wallets are not connected to the Internet and are thus less susceptible to hacking. Since accessing a cold storage wallet can be inconvenient, it’s best to split the bitcoins you own. Keep a small amount of bitcoins in an online digital wallet for daily trading needs and keep the rest in cold storage. Cold storage takes the private keys in an offline mode, thus decreasing the chances of theft.

How to Secure Bitcoins?

Choose a good wallet and keep your wallet information safe. I think that's the best advice anyone would say and give you. Now as for the types of wallets, and the types of wallet storage you would use, there are so many different ones that have their pros and cons, and that should chosen by none other you. However, make sure that you keep your wallet address safe; many people usually put it in storage that is not connected to the internet so that it would be susceptible to hacking. Also, make sure to not put everything in one wallet.

Once you buy/invested on it, save your account's information somewhere not connected to the internet like email, social media messaging services, and even on a PC connected online because it might be hit by a ransomware. Keep it on a more secure place like hard wallet and make yourself more vigilant too.
