It is not difficult, i have always been using a hardware wallet, it is always gonna be the most safest option until someone understand how to crack them.
Anyway, a paper wallet is more than safe to me.

there are so many ways to secure them but the best thing if you are a long term holder would be the offline wallets which you can store like a small usb and carry with yourself.

To protect bitcoins is very simple. Use cold wallets such as Trezor and LedgerNanoS. It's the safest thing to do right now.

Hackers were roaming around to make an easy earning targeting the wallets with low security. It's our responsibility to keep it secure enabling the high security features available. Most of the time experts suggest offline hardware wallets for long term holding and the web wallets for the regular needs.

Bitcoin is infinitly secure as a matter of fact it got three types of security defenses the block address which is hard to maniplulate every block got a work proof that make it take more than 10 minutes to crack and a p2p network means you've to aquire more than half yhe network to chabe a transaction.

You just need to put it in a safe and recommended wallet, because so far I've secured bitcoin just by saving it on a web wallet and then saving the phrase and private key, that's what I've been doing all along and I've never had a problem.

Store it in your hardware wallet or a mobile version. Online wallet is kinda risky but when you set a highly security then it will be more safe.
keep your private keys to yourself our keep it in a safe or somewhere that you're the only one who knows.

Blockchain itself is secure. that makes us feel secure. In part, manage your personal information with email, phone, computer with your own security measures. Stop sharing information and related devices.

I think everybody knows the importance on securing your crypto assets. So no further preaching on that.

How I (our business) does it?

1. Liquid amount on exchange (like 3-4%) - its a major exchange
2. Desktop wallets for other 3-4% of liquidity (no multi sig. management direct access)
3. rest is on 4 different hw wallets (ledger) in 4 different bank vaults.
4. private key backup done with cryptosteel (love those things) in different banks (key never complete on 1 slide).

all in all, our funds are in hw wallets in 3 different countries with 4 different banks.

The best protection is still to make sure no one knows that you have a lot of crypto and can assign you to any wallet/address.
Works as well with FIAT.

I think you should back up your wallet. By being kept in a safe place, wallet backup can protect you from computer malfunctions and other human errors. Backup also allows you to recover your wallet after your phone or computer has been stolen if you have encrypted your wallet.

You should make sure that you register only in the global and leading Bitcoin company, as well as learn how to identify Bitcoin frauds may occur.

It is important that you take certain steps for your own security so that you can avoid possible losses.

The only way that guarantees that no one will ever get to yout bitcoins is a cold wallet like BTC Core or Electrum. But I personally don't have so many to use cold wallets, just keep different accounts at Localbitcoin and Binance

You should be wary of any service designed to store your money online. Many exchanges and online wallets suffered from security breaches in the past and such services generally still do not provide enough insurance and security to be used to store money like a bank. Accordingly, you might want to use other types of Bitcoin wallets. Otherwise, you should choose such services very carefully. Additionally, using two-factor authentication is recommended.

A Bitcoin wallet is like a wallet with cash. If you wouldn't keep a thousand dollars in your pocket, you might want to have the same consideration for your Bitcoin wallet. In general, it is a good practice to keep only small amounts of bitcoins on your computer, mobile, or server for everyday uses and to keep the remaining part of your funds in a safer environment.
