a question that is difficult to answer I think, because let alone trading in exchangers, buy via ICO which in fact the price is cheap, there is minimum ammount of purchase.
So here I am with about 1.5$ in my poloniex account today. What advice would you give me to make this 1.5$ into 150$ by the end of next year that is 2018?

That would be hard for the amount of money you invested in. If you want to gain a huge amount by the end of the year, add more to your initial investment which is that small 1.5$. Come on man, be real! even though it is just an experiment you know well that it is impossible to turn it into 150$ by the end of the year considering that investing in cryptocurrencies takes a lot of time to see the fruit of your investments. with $1 you won't see much profit if you try to trade and most likely end up losing your big investment. However, you can buy cheap token like trx, ada and forget about it for few years.
with $1, you don't have many options to investing but you still could invest with cheap coins and wait for a long time because you are going to see the price increase higher for a long time. so if you can increase your money to invest then you have much option to buy the coin and the best is you don't have to wait until a long time to see your first profit.
I would say you start thinking long and hard...and get a job

1$ is a very small amount to start investing. Participate in generosity or wait for Pre-ICO, to buy altcoins at a cheap price

With $1.5 and you are looking forward get $150 at the end of next year 2018 is too difficult but it can still happen if you invest in good coins which its price is less $1 example: Dogecoin. Siacon, Bitshare... they are good coins and if you are lucky their price can go up 100x in year 2018. But actually $1,5 is too less to invest. I saw you're Full Member that you can earn hundreds dollars on a month so Why don't you invest more?

That is 100x pump dude and it take a few years for that to happen except some whales manipulated it but the chance is still very slim. Maybe sleep for a few years and wake up and you'll see it happens.

I guess a $100 would be a better experiment...You can't do anything with 1$, by the time it hits the exchange, you\ll be left with $0.20 and good luck trading it

But those times are never going to come back, 1 dollar was fine back then since as you said you needed that to buy 1 ETH if we use your analogy we need at least 462 dollars to buy 1 ETH right now, anything less than that is simply not enough, bitcoin fees can be quite high so investing a dollar is just a waste of time and as time passes the minimum amount needed to invest in crypto is only going to grow.He could find the equivalent to bitcoin in 2017 and then wait for 10 years... trading money for time

This could be quite interesting experiments you can find some coins that are around 0.11 cent or higher or lower and try to trade them
