well if it is an addiction, you cant just stop a person, it will make him feel mentally draining and affect his life. he will end up with greater carving and will be more addicted. just like smoking, you need to find ways to reduce it and slowly change that person mindset.

I believe that if someone knows that they are addicted, they got the power in their own hands to help themselves. If you know have a problem, solve it and find a solution for it. If you can't at least seek for some help.

But spending money in gambling is not just loosing money for many people. They are simply buying the pleasure from gambling.
You ideas of concentrating on some other skill development must be great idea to deviate our thinking out of gambling must be a working idea for many gamblers who are seriously looking for quitting gambling.

If you are buying the thrills and fun of gambling then there is no need of staying away from it if you are wealthy enough to spend for gambling. But this kind of situations are possible with very few people who are gambling as part of their life style.

Can't you ask for exclusion? Many sites had that. Although that will be probably hard in the btc world, since you can just open another account with ease. Maybe ask the support to limit the amount you can bet, and slowly controlling your gambling issues.

Nope I dont think so this is the same as smoking. It is true that you need to find ways to reduce it if not they will get some complicated diseases but addiction in gambling this is all about mindset. You let your mind to think about gambling and gambling wont do good to you. Like I just said and pass posters said you need to do something that can attract your mind not to gambling but something else that dont really depends on gamble. Get used to it gradually it will lessen the addiction

That must be a better option. When you are unable to stay away from gambling, we have no other option other than betting in small amounts, which will ensure low risk amount involved at the same time we can enjoy the entertainment of gambling. I believe this also virtually scenario of avoiding gambling.

it's hard to stay away for gambling because here bitcointalk forum if we join signature campaign, all of that is gambling website. if you want stay away from gambling, try to delete all your gambling account and promise yourself to not gamble anymore.
