This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?
I think games adventure coin suitable is my idea agree

If you want to kill childhood for your kins you can teach them but i think it's not for kids, let them live free and when they grow you will teach them, that's what i am thinking about it.

it's very difficult to teach kids about the bit coin. they don't know many about the value of real cash
how can they learn things about bit coins. first you need to know the value of gold to understand Bit coin at all.
Well, I agree. kids just think about the freedom of playing with her friends. they are not ready to seek bitcoin, and I think not to teach them about bitcoin for today

I think it's kinda hard because most of the kids only spending time on the internet playing online games, surfing, etc. plus they more like physical money. Kids loves playing, surfing than spending time to earn bitcoin or to earn a money on their own. Maybe their mindset seems to be like this why would I spend time to earn a bitcoin if I can ask a money to my mom/dad and im to young.

I always thought those Minecraft servers that incorporated Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency into their in-game economy were pretty neat.

One example is playMC:

Coindesk wrote an interesing article about the server:

They will naturally encounter crypto as it creeps into social media and app payments etc.

My kids like coins, so maybe a physical coin/cold wallet & explain how it works..

You can teach them about taxes by eating half of their dessert.

so also money can not be given to children?!?! i have a brother, he's 12 and he have understand the bitcoin just like he got the hang of money.
Maybe it will put 'a bit' to understand the banks and the economy, but the bitcoin in itself is not difficult to understand if you do not enter in the highly technical

teaching a basic understanding on how to spend and receive bitcoins will suffice and later on when they grow up they can be taught other technical aspects of it.

you can teach them by children freindly apps.

if there was a children based app around bitcoin like counting it would be cute and them to learn at the same time.

you dont have to use bitcoin technicaly, but if you teach them how to save candy.

or something in the sense of what children want like chocolate they can figure out how to save giving them a jar, then giving a huge reward for saving. That develops a trait in them early on.

I know my nephew would probably be more older to appreciate it and learn financal sense early like you mentioned.

But I say it depends on the age of the child, cause if they are too young I dont think they would know the difference.  Tongue

well kids like to play, so something that can bring together bitcoin and gaming

like puzzle that when solved reveal a private key for example

it is important that kids start to learn early some basic economy, at least something about income and expenditure

i heard about a new law for some countries that will make it possible(to teach them basic economy) in schools

exactly, children love learning by playing. it's the best way to get results

The other day I heard some kids talking about Bitcoin when I was in the train, it was a pleasant surprise since i've never heard anyone talking about Bitcoin in real life, so it was nice that they were young people. Well they were not actual kids but like 14, so teens. In any case, it was a rare occurrence, like I said before I have never heard anyone mention it. It seems slowly it's getting out there. I wonder if they owned any.
Seems bitcoin began to be popular in your country Smiley In my city, its hard to find the kids or teen who know bitcoin, even adults. Its a difficult situation to explain our kids what bitcoin is, since there is no place that accept bitcoin to show them that it can be used to buy something  Cheesy  Its depends on popularity of bitcoin itself in a country.

I think kid could understand tech, internet and virtual things better that elders nowadays. Of course it depends how old is that kid, but when I was young I did not have computer or smartphone to toy with.
Today kids have all this and for them it is natural course of action to have internet connection 24/7. Bitcoin will be easy for them. If your kid understand concept of money (even a little) he/she will understand bitcoin as well.
