I think to teach kids to know bitcoin is not good. Because not old enough to know more about what is bitcoin and what are the things in it. But if it should tell him, maybe just explain basically what is the bitcoin / outlook from the outside only in general without having to explain it more deeply. That's enough i guess, because it's too risk if him knowing more.

I think you're underestimating the learning abilities and capabilities of a kid. You would be surprised when you look at the activity of the kid on his computer when he isn't playing. They read things too and watch a lot of videos. Those videos are helpful at some way even though most of them aren't really that helpful. I'm actually shocked when I saw a kid doing something that I didn't know how to do and he told me that he simply searched it on Google.

Kids are capable of learning things even though it would be hard to learn things that require underlying knowledge (e.g. To learn trigonometry, you need to learn Math first). But because of the Internet, this becomes more and more easier. Bitcoin is just money and kids know how to use money regardless if there's an Internet or not. You give money to the storeowner, the storeowner gives you the thing that you want. As simple as that in their minds, but that's actually how bitcoin works too when buying something.

i am also not in favour of  the fact that children should know about bitcoin, they should lead their natural life in physical games and recreation, they should give preference to their education and not to give any importance to bitcoin.

I was pretty much a kid when I entered into bitcoin. Well not exactly a kid but 16 years old.

Usually there's no need to teach em. Just give them a brief introduction and if they are interested they will learn.
In reality giving them a brief introduction never make them a part of the growing community. Only the self interest keeps them active, so personally in my opinion bitcoin is all about the understanding and the trust of the user. There are successful kids who have turned to be a millionaire just because of the trust they had on bitcoin.

This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?
Teaching kids about bitcoin, I don't think they are willing to learn about bitcoin. They are just kids, let them eat, play and buy what they want. Other people say bitcoin is boring, they are not interested. They keep in mind that Bitcoin is a just scam and they do not believe it. They are not believing on bitcoin because it will earn only on the internet. They won't see and touch the bitcoin, they want the real money like paper money and coins.

Little kids love fairy tales, we can tell little children before going to bed about bitcoin, they will keep remembering and will learn about bitcoin and I sure this is the best method to teach kids about bitcoin.

Children need to be taught in the form of a game so that they are interested, and not bored. I do not think it's appropriate to do it 10 years ago. Perhaps soon the school will introduce such a science and children will not have to learn Smiley

I will never teach my kids about bitcoin and I will ask them to have fun in their childhood days and enjoy the life and concentrate on their studies as that age I think education should be given first priority as to earn money they have their entire life.

And I think that's what most parents would do. Unless of course of your kids become interested in bitcoin at a very early state which is very unlikely. Though there are kids that are keen on numbers at a very young age, bitcoin economics would probably bore them out

I think putting bitcoins into games for kids to talk to bitcoins is quite logical. But this has two sides, children do not have enough knowledge to use and manage bitcoin, they need basic knowledge about economics, market ... I think before coming into contact with bitcoin they need to learn. more

They will cope by teaching themselves how to use bitcoins. They already have the money, now the only problem is how to use it. They will search how to use it on Google and they will have millions of relevant results. It's not that hard to understand because bitcoin acts pretty much just like money. The network and the volatility of bitcoin will not matter at all because they have too little bitcoins to be affected significantly by the price fluctuations.

There is no need to teach kids about bitcoin. Even if they learn something, it will just unnecessarily occupy their minds. I think best age is 15-16 years for bitcoin. Kids shouldn't use internet too much.

That's right and I think kids will find it complicated to understand the concept of bitcoins at that early age and if they gets diverted towards gambling then it will be a huge problem for parents as kids will surely get addicted to gambling and will always start looking for quick money.

With all respect a kid doesn't give a f-ck about bitcoin, if you're trying to teach a proper money management, then there are some game simulators to do it.

Kids nowadays are well knowledged when it comes to the internet. Instead of playing barbies, balls and other kiddie stuffs they would want to have their tablets and smartphones instead. I think the first step to tell them about bitcoin is to let them understand base on their level and capacity to understand. Let's say an interactive games that will catch their attention. Or maybe a video telling the history of bitcoin, how it came to life. Or a video of a super hero buying his weapons to fight evil with the use of bitcoin. You know, anything that can catch their attention and not bore them to death.

well kids like to play, so something that can bring together bitcoin and gaming

like puzzle that when solved reveal a private key for example

it is important that kids start to learn early some basic economy, at least something about income and expenditure

i heard about a new law for some countries that will make it possible(to teach them basic economy) in schools

I once told bitcoin to kids, they are not interested because the mindset still can not. I think the best way to introduce bitcoin is to make large-size posts about bitcoin.

Kids today are very smart, letting kids know about bitcoins, you should let them know what bitcoins are and interesting things to do with bitcoins, when it will care about bitcoins and will find it yourself.
