This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?

I heard that there are some animated videos about bitcoins.We could show them those videos so that they could easily understand the concept of bitcoin.Since this generation is already familiar with technology,it would not be difficult for them to understand bitcoin.

Agree we can say that you can buy an item using bitcoin so that they would get curious about it then start learning it , so that time if they are earning already they can use it in playing games and no need to get a money from their payments for buying those virtual goods.

There are kids in China that can do programming, engineering, excel in almost every subject, and probably not have a very good childhood. Why don't you make them as an example to your nephew? One thing I know in this world, your nephew is not the same person as that 14 year old kid. He can be earning bitcoin and doing trading, but only in a low level. He might just be following the trend to the adults. He might just want to look like he's doing a good thing even when he doesn't have talent in trading at all.

Kids learn in different paces. The kids in China that knows a lot of stuff in a very young age were trained ever since to become that type of worker/thinker. If you want to ruin your nephew's childhood by making him so pre-occupied with bitcoins, then go ahead. Just don't be eaten by guilt when after a decade your nephew realized how much he missed out as a kid.

even if they are in their teen age still they do not need to know about bitcoin. because they mostly do not know about internet and therefore they cannot use bitcoin for online shopping or any other purposes. and similarly they also cannot use bitcoin for in local shops because most of the local shops are not accepting bitcoin. in fact currently we are using bitcoin mostly for investment and trading purposes.

Just teach the way children are taught about money, except it is online. Maybe chuck in a few puzzles to keep it interesting, but a problem about bitcoin is the gambling factor since we don't want 12-year-olds gambling.

Yah same what happened on me, i learned by my parents steps, when i was a child i think i love to play and just enjoy the times that i didnt know anything about problems, just living with the flow of life, but suddenly my parents teach me how to be a good person someday, be responsible enough for what you want. bitcoin took place in my life that gives me income to have money and to have a better future

my parents are just being parents no communication about bitcoins but by myself i discover bitcoin and i earned profit

We must teach value of money to kids first before proceed in teaching about bitcoins..

Teach them how to fish not giving them fish all the time, it is the right sayings for you mate, you are well trained by your parents to be financially motivated, the good thing is you came at the right place, bitcoin gives so much opportunity that we should be serious about.

Kids are fast learners so you can get them easily by just teaching them simply few tips and strategies about bitcoin. And as they grow old they will now be having a background in bitcoin and that can help them to know things about real life that if you don't have something to earn. You can't survive this world but with bitcoin, they can do it.

It is not a bad thing to make your children aware of the trends. The bad thing would be forcing them to do stuff that can make them earn Bitcoin at their parents gain. Kids should be aware of things and stuff that is happening, but let them have the freedom to chose on whatever they wanted to do.

I don't it's a good idea to introduce bitcoin to children. They should do something that suit their age and have positive impact towards their development, not study about some crypto. And i think bitcoin is quite hard to understand for children.

Well i learned with my mother how to save and use my money, i were able to buy a videogame with those strategy, if my childs does learn the same as me they will give more value to their money, and wont waste it with things they wont need or use.

Sounds a bit condescending, I think these days kids know more about new techs like bitcoin than us older people do anyway. I think kids are curious enough to figure it out for themselves just like how kids are all into new smartphones, game consoles, computers etc...

We don't need to rush them into bitcoins just because we want them to earn money. Actually it should be very simple and straight forward tell them they would get double pocket money what they earn from various faucet/games/etc online and they can spend them anything they wish at.

I myself have a kid, we enjoy gambling a lot, I don't want him to become a gambler but then I really enjoying playing when he is around.

Because of this, it can turn out to be a very bad thing, regarding your child. It seems to me that you need to suspend such games a little. Reality and its future Can be broken just by such gambling, because we do not know our children. Better Try the Bitcoin in the Training form.

yeah that is correct. Do not try to teach them anything about money because money will destroy them. Does anyone see that how terrible money is? It has destroyed many people on the planet and make people turn into crazy

Well i don't think it will destroy them and it's that bad. Parents can try to teach kids about btc but i doubt any kid will have interest in it. Just don't force them to it because that's when it won't be good. You can introduce btc but don't make it a big deal because children are not yet supposed to be in that kind of venture

may be it will not destroy them, but still if the students will give more preference to bitcoin and will take more interest here, they it will really become too much difficult for them to continue focusing on their study, therefore it is too much important that they should only give preference to their education and when they complete their education then they should take active part in bitcoin trading, investment or any other source of earning bitcoin.

Because it is difficult to tell the bitcoin to anyone let alone a child, then the best way is with the game, invite your child to games that give rewards bitcoin and they will collect bitcoin so they will think and learn about bitcoin.

Introduce, JUST INTRODUCE bitcoins to them by including it in their syllabus, kids magazines etc. One can develops apps/games about bitcoins and encourage fun learning. Kids today know how important money is and I'm sure most of them will begin to study bitcoins beyond the contents we provide them with.

That is right, we can't just teach these kind of things to kids, we are just being selfish and we just want to teach them what we want, how about their wants, their dreams they have their own paths to take, we must not take it from them. It is better if they can just study first, they will be using and needing that knowledge.

but i think, we don't have to teach bitcoin in completed explaining because i am sure that they will become boring and will leave us without telling anything. i think we can teach them to playing a games with a little explaining until they are curious and wants to know more about bitcoin. beside that, many kids now has very smart about one thing especially in new technology so i think they can accepting the information about bitcoin and understand about what we explained.

yes kids do not need to learn about bitcoin. they need to focus on their education, they can learn about bitcoin but I think that they do not need to learn about it. they still have time to learn about bitcoin. currently they should only take interest in their education.

kids cannot focus on serious matter, they do not need to learn about bitcoin. bitcoin still not a usually currency just like fiat, bitcoin is not available everywhere and cannot be use as currency. may be in some place they can be use as currency but not everywhere in the world therefore kids should only focus to thier education, and when time will come then they will learn about bitcoin.
