As per my experience from 2017 up to this year 2021, crypto projects or bounties that I have participated mostly have Twitter campaign that serves as a platform in dissiminating information about the project, about the coin that they are promoting. Twitter is quite younger than facebook but many people around the world used twitter. With that it is a very good way of promoting the project. One example is the tweet of Elon Musk about dogecoin that makes it trending.
I think it is all about the brand. Twitter as s brand make other pay more attention on what they do, produce or offer.
I can draw parallels with earphones created by Apple. Apple were first to make earphones and its wire white, later other manufactures picked that trend.
