Any estimative on when the feature will be available for everyone? Last time I heard about this it would be disponible only for USA and El Salvador citizens through Strike. Without expanding the feature to more users, there won't be any significant impact in Bitcoin universe.

The social media popularity is huge in third world countries and at same time it's the people from these countries which are most adepts of tipping features to maximize their monthly income, what means these people could make this feature become a new trend and a great success on the internet.

I'm not surprised since Jack has been a bitcoin advocates since the beginning.

What surprises me though is that it's kinda late, I mean he could have roll this out in 2017 where he was really pushing for bitcoin adoption. Anyhow, let's see how it goes, might be good in the long run and maybe we can see who amongst the crypto influences would received the most tips at the end of the year. So still a win-win situation for bitcoin enthusiast.

It's good to see that Twitter embracing Bitcoin, thanks to Jack, that he is also a Bitcoin user. It would be unfortunate if Twitter follows what Facebook does with Diem. No matter how big or small, I believe Twitter really help the adoption of Bitcoin or at least, it also helps to make the mainstream aware of what is Bitcoin actually look like.

Letting social media userbase, which I assume has a significant impact within society really help Bitcoin to be more and more popular. The feature is still early on Twitter, but as time goes by, I think it will boost Bitcoin adoption since the network effect plays its part here. All the big tech are already keeping an eye on Bitcoin, and it's likely to looking forward to considering if their own business could be applied to use Bitcoin. Let's hope that the regulatory issue won't be an obstacle.

Since Jack Dorsey is bitcoin-friendly and he let people Twitter and share anything about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, this will make Twitter a good platform for bitcoiners to share their thoughts, discuss bitcoin, learn more from other people and especially this will help to spread the bitcoin word in all over the over, these are all good effects and benefits of twitter the bitcoin, however, on the other hand, there are many scam project and shitcoins trying to rise a community using Twitter to get more investors for themselves.

I said above your post that I think it is not a great platform because of the censorship that happens there and if Jack Dorsey changes his mind about Bitcoin then Bitcoin could be censored there I would like to see a social media that is more decentralized but still stops most of the spam that plagues these social medias. I think the Blockchain could be implemented into a social media and the users vote to remove spam in a transparent way to stop corruption but atm I think Twitter is good for a small amount of things but Bitcoin users should stay away from it.

I think the biggest impact is that it is going to pave the path for Twitter's gradual diversification into all things that money-transfers enable.

Facebook enabled payments on Whatsapp. Facebook has a market feature where you can set up shop and sell items.

What stops Twitter from replicating that with Bitcoin. That is infact the low hanging fruit. I believe that if Twitter users actually get the hang of LN transactions and this NFT User ID thing becomes a reality, we may well be looking at the biggest network and community for crypto products and tools yet. Sky is the limit when people's twitter accounts also become their financial identities.

A verified Twitter account could easily be an escrow or provide other "trusted" services necessary for finance. Like i said, Sky is the limit here.

Twitter used to be a good social media platform. But its reliability and legitimacy has waned over time as politics has increased pressure on social media to censor content. The mechanics and algorithms of twitter now make it seem like a ghost town. There are accounts with more than 20,000 followers who barely draw any impressions or replies. It has become a strange place where demonstrably wrong content receives many likes and retweets. While accurate posts receive no attention at all.

Twitter censors news stories which does not conform to their agendas and I think the platform should be avoided because of that reason. If they are anti Bitcoin they would remove the stories that talk about Bitcoin luckily for us a huge amount of people use the platform and the CEO of Twitter is Bitcoin friendly and we do not get censored on their platform but that can change. I think the CEO will see that there is money to be made in cryptocurrency and will look to create their own. It makes sense from a business view that they create their own token for tipping instead of using Bitcoin.

There is a possibility that a time will come when Twitter or its subsidiary would also explore to have its own token for doing business with the platform like buying ads space and of course including tipping but for now let's get satisfied with the fact that Jack Dorsey is a big believer and supporter of Bitcoin hence he never bothered to do the Libra thing as done by Facebook. We can conclude that among many social platforms, it is Twitter that can be categorized as the most Bitcoin and for that matter cryptocurrency friendly.

As Lightning Network is going to be used for transactions, I expect this tipping feature to be used by so many people. This feature can be really helpful for Bitcoin and Twitter both reach a higher level in the future. Crypto lovers would start using Twitter in this way quite a lot. And this would help Bitcoin adoption rate increase also. With the help of the increase in the adoption rate, the price would also be affected positively in the long run.

It was expected that this news would have a significant positive impact on Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market in general, but unfortunately, this news coincided with another bad news that covered the positive impact of Twitter news, I mean the news that China or the Chinese Central Bank banned dealing in Bitcoin in the country officially.
Unfortunately, the news of the Chinese ban overshadowed the Twitter news and led to a decline in the market in general, but personally I think that this drop is temporary and the markets will rise again, and then we can notice the good results of the Twitter news.

the impact given by twitter to bitcoin is very useful for social media users, because everyone who opens tweter will automatically read every tweet posted by tweter, so everyone who enters the world of twiter by itself, that person becomes used to it. understand about bitcoin, so slowly they will plunge into bitcoin, and will definitely find out about bitcoin more deeply..

This was fantastic! I was taken aback because I hadn't seen it coming. It was similar to Lyka Gems, but it was Twitter, which is a large corporation. This, I believe, will significantly raise the price. We can see that content creators and those who are famous on social media will make more money from it, which is great news for them because they will be able to receive more money from the social media platform.

First, Bitcoin lightning will be used by more people. The burden on the traditional Bitcoin network will be reduced.
Next, Twitter will be a stronger social network than Facebook or TikTok because people can easily send money to each other more easily. I doubt that twitter will be able to be the next OnlyFans, as there is a lot of 18+ content on the platform right now.

This is very attractive news after while. This will drag more people to the cryptocurrency field. According my knowledge this news released thursday and it makes the whole market bullish. Then Friday, As usual Chinese FUDS came out. And market start to fallen. But it only able to marked 40700$ as bottom.

Imagine if this news of twitter not released Thursday. Then most probably BTC falls to 36K level with the Chinese FUD.

Jack abled to save us all from China.

Twitter is one of the most important social media that make news go viral immediately, because Twitter social media has very good impact in development of cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin and other altcoins. I also know about crypto through Twitter and Twitter is the best way to share good news about crypto and also the right channel to get good news about cryptocurrency.

how twitter can make an impact in the btc world, basically bitcoin is a very good social media platform, but as the development of twiter technology is getting dimmer, with the presence of washab, facebook, instagram, etc., by itself twitter is slowly being abandoned by its fans, now with twitter already working on bitcoin, and already willing to give his idea of bitcoin, maybe in the future twitter will return to its peak of glory..

Would help with adoption, but I don't know how much it will. It's not like if Twitter accepts BTC everyone suddenly starts buying BTC and sending it around. It might help get a few interested in Bitcoin however - and those who want to send money might be considering it in the future. Until we get to many millions using Bitcoin through Twitter though... there's a very long way to go.

Bitcoiners can already share their thoughts through Twitter. They've been able to do so for many years, so that's nothing new.

Consider the following scenario: there are 350 million monthly active Twitter users, and they can all send BTC to one another.
It would've been great if that was really the case, but in reality, it's tied to [for now - thanks to Strike] users from El Salvador and the US [except for two states] and that equates to around "75M [I'm referring to those that can receive, as opposed to those that can send]". On top of that, you have to remove non iOS users from the equation [for now] and that leads to a much smaller number!

What impact are you predicting for us in the future?
You might want to define what you exactly mean by "us"; if you're referring to hodlers, then I don't think it'll have a significant impact on the price!

CMIIW but didn't Twitter have some tipping bots in the past? Even reddit had it years ago and it was a very neat feature to support some awesome people or if you really liked some content on the said platforms. This will not be news anymore for some users who were present when tipping between people in Twitter was evident. I don't see anything that is surprising or valuable on the tipbot as the idea is not fresh anymore. Still a good thing all in all, though. At least some users who want to try the feature will get themselves exposed to crypto.

"Social media platform Twitter has finally rolled out its Bitcoin tipping feature that will allow users to tip their dearest content creators using the leading cryptocurrency by market cap. "

Consider the following scenario: there are 350 million monthly active Twitter users, and they can all send BTC to one another.
I still feel pretty overwhelmed by this news despite having had a whole day to absorb it.

The legacy-system-free monetary exchange now allows millions upon millions of people to do business.

What impact are you predicting for us in the future?

As we all know Twitter is one of the most popular social media platforms today and we can't deny that, as matter of fact, many crypto platforms are using Twitter to disseminate information about the developments of the project that's why it was popular among crypto users today. In addition, Bitcoin was added now into Twitter and can be used to tip each other I think that's good exposure for Bitcoin since Twitter has large users based that might beneficial to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as well.
