The first type of gambling I experienced is sports betting. Basketball is such a famous sport here in my country and I first tried betting on basketball. But it was just a small bet organized by my friends. It's not a big thing but as what I can remember, it was fun with a mixed feeling of nervousness and excitement. I also tried local gambling organized here in my place when there are events. Then after getting into crypto, that's where I started to experience online gambling. Well, if your first experience in gambling through online gambling, then most probably you're just new in gambling or still at young age to experience online gambling as your first gambling experience.
It's kinda vague to me how was my first experience in gambling, but I'm pretty sure it was in the local fair as they offer various kind of games where you can place your bet and win some prizes, fiat and non-fiat prizes. The amount of betting though is not as much as what we usually place in the casino or online casino, but sure it was still a form of gambling.
IMO, it's not really that hard to get rid of your gambling habits especially when you already have financial responsibilities.

It matters a lot how much we lose even if we have much money. If you are trying to profit from something and you don't see light at the end especially if it is luck based you can throw in the towel. In this case some people play gambling only for the main purpose of profit and not any feeling of fun, so those set of people won't continue at a point. I know much of such people who have stopped playing gamble because they didn't see any benefit from it after feeling that they can use it as source of income. Therefore, giving up is possible despite how much we have.
I also get introduced with my friends, my friends have gamble for a long time and he have bought many things from his winnings. But I didn't get the same result because I often lose than win, I felt little desperate at that time. However I always record how much I win and how much I lose, in this way I learn how to manage my money. The result is I lose in gambling, but I need to deal with it and accept the reality.

I did not know much about football at the time. It was February 2014. I place bet on 3 matches with just novice guesses and I won the three matches. I thought gambling is interesting and thought that is how I will continue to win, but opposite has been the outcome.Later I have to quit gambling for awhile and started to use the money that I can afford to lose.
