WEEKLY UPDATE: 04/19/2018
https://t.me/officialhtmlcoin

Dear Community,

Several of you have asked us to disclose our agenda of the team's latest meetings. Below you can find the main points that have been discussed during our last General Meeting.

1. Thursday Talk
Our core team has decided to conduct Thursday Talks twice a month (once every two weeks). We will ask our community supporters to prepare their questions and concerns from a preselected topic before the Thursday Talk schedule. We can either choose a topic or the community can help choose a topic for us. For example, we will monitor our social media platform of possible topics to address. We will post the topic ahead of schedule, and the community can submit their questions to an online form. The questions and answers will not be published until the live event. However, supporters will be informed of the topic beforehand. The community will be able to chat with the team on the Official Htmlcoin Telegram channel while the Thursday Talk is conducted. No impromptu questions will be allowed. There will be a moderator for the Thursday Talk to organize the talking points and to address the most frequently asked questions.

2. Exchange Updates
We have also discussed the latest developments about exchanges. Our CEO, Amando, has assigned tasks to the team members to follow-up with every exchange application that was submitted. We also discussed applying to new exchanges. We will update our community and our exchange webpage (www.htmlcoin.com/exchanges) when we have a confirmed listing date.

3. Organizational Chart
In a couple of days, we will have our team members posted on our website. We recently hired a few more members that will be added in the next few weeks. Notable hire is a new Data Architect that will help us with our current projects. We also hired a new marketing agency that consists of 27 members to support our marketing and design initiatives. Details of the partnership will be updated on the website in a couple of days.

4. Updates of Smart Contracts and Token Creations
A few assignments were assigned to additional team members to help facilitate the progress of the project. It is currently being worked on and we should be able to see the progress.

5. Gaming Platform Development
Another meeting with a newly hired developer is to be scheduled tomorrow to work on the gaming project. The gaming platform serves educational purposes.

6. Plug-in Project
We will be using our partner's resources to help us complete this project. Our partner has access to developers who will help expedite the development process.

7. Brazilian projects
Our newly hired Data Architect will be helping us with two of our ongoing Brazilian projects, (one of which is Geoblock ; a reforestation process using drones) Two teams are currently working on them. Both teams will be visible on our team page when it is released.

8. Updates in Social Media
After last week, we updated our social media administration and updated our rules. Please welcome Mary as our new admin! We have a new policy regarding banning and unbanning. A new form was released a couple days ago for those who wish to be reinstated as community members in Htmlcoin Telegram. We have also discussed our public social media perception as a team. We will work more diligently in helping Htmlcoin’s public image.

9. Legal Disclaimer and Investment Policy
We once again identify ourselves as a Software Company, and not an ICO or a financial institution in any way. We cannot in any way give any financial advice or speculate about HTML trading price. A new Investment Policy and best practices letter is to be released and will be posted on our website.

10. Our Online Workplace
We have discussed which website and application the team will use to store files and monitor progress of assigned tasks. This is being done to maximize our team's efficiency, and to record project status. Software recommendations and policies have been made, and will be migrating to a new platform soon.

11. Marketing Agency
As mentioned earlier, a USA based, 27-person digital marketing agency has signed a 3-month partnership contract with the HTMLCOIN Foundation.  The partnership's success will be measured by predefined KPIs (key performance indicators) that must meet or exceed our goals. If goals are met, we will renegotiate our contract for an extension. They will be helping us with social media posts, blogs, increased SEO/SEM rankings, animations, branding, web development and landing pages just to name a few.

12. Partner's Announcement
Soon, Htmlcoin and one of our partners will release a post on our social media platforms about our partnership.

13. Other Topics
Other topics have been discussed and will update you when we see results. The Htmlcoin Foundation has been determined more than ever before to be as transparent as possible, and to involve all its supporters. We are working harder than ever and are confident the fruits of our labor will come to fruition. From now on, we will share our progress only when you can see results! We should not be judged on the things we cannot control, like Apple rejecting our iOS wallet, but we will deliver on our promises. Now more than ever, we will march together hand in hand with our team, partners, advisors, and community supporters to bring Htmlcoin Foundation to the World!

Dear Htmlcoin Community,

Our company is not an ICO. We are a blockchain company that is designed to revolutionize the world with probable use-case projects in the works and in the pipeline. The Htmlcoin has been in business for more than 4 years promoting our blockchain technology to developers worldwide. We are committed to our mission and vision as we have always been. Because we are a growing company, Htmlcoin will continue to adapt to meet the ever changing needs of the emerging technology, known as blockchain.

We are in the process of hiring an outside Marketing  agency to help manage our social media, marketing and digital needs. Our foundation realizes our limitations and will be outsourcing some of the talent who will be partnering with us from a well established marketing agency that can help manage our online presence and to help identify weaknesses in our marketing strategy. The company we select will also assist Htmlcoin Foundation in furthering our brand throughout the world. Htmlcoin will have more resources than ever before and will have a far better global reach.

The Htmlcoin committee members and the CEO, Amando, will be evaluating every member of our core team. Members who do not meet the needs, goals, and culture of the Foundation are free to resign or will be asked to resign from their post. The organizational chart that was released on Thursday was an informal, impromptu org-chart, a draft. But because the community insisted that we release our core team members, we decided to show the identity of the professionals working in the Foundation. It was a way to prove to the community that well-qualified, professionals were indeed working hard to build the Htmlcoin community. The org-chart shows similarly how Htmlcoin has been operating hierarchically as a company. However, the hierarchy is not finalized and has been changing as it continues to change as we adapt to Htmlcoin’s community needs.

As we continue to transition through the restructuring phase, we may limit the amount of time our social media channel is open to protect the best interests of the community and of Htmlcoin Foundation. We hope it does not happen, but a few members and or former colleagues may try to vent their frustration to the community. We will kindly ask them to stay professional and refrain from posting as we continue to evaluate members. We may also moderate members for disrupting the community. We will ask our loyal community members the best times available for them to attend the social media channel if it is not open 24/7. In time, we may decide to return back to opening our community chat to 24/7 access. But for now, It is  simply not feasible to continue to monitor and/or ban people on a 24/7 basis - all the while watching our brand diminish because of a few, unsavory remarks that continues to harm our brand-identity.

All in all, The Htmlcoin leadership team would like to thank each and every one of you who have joined us since 4 years ago. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email Htmlcoin at
[email protected].

Sincerely,
Htmlcoin Team

Dear HTMLCOIN Community,

We are currently restructuring The Htmlcoin Foundation and how it is operated, this includes the organisation, governance, and administration. The new organization will be composed of 5 Committees as follows:

Marketing and Design
Business Development & Innovation
Research and Development
Community and Technology Support
Budget and Appropriation

Our recent new hires of dedicated team members and executives will be announced at a later time. We are opening volunteer positions across the five committees. Anyone that would like to get involved with the core team can apply through the following form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdiNS_Pgt4c9aDELKNtCoDIjLeCa9suMbYN49sB2Gj981mMTg/viewform

Updates to Our Communication Administration
We have created a new official telegram group for Admins. Tony, Julia Ezeji, and Kade Cooper will act as Head of Admins as of today. We are currently finalizing the process or recruitment, rules and guidelines. People who are currently Admins in the HTMLCOIN OFFICIAL, will be reviewed one by one. For those who are not in this group but claim to be Admins in other unofficial groups can apply to become an Admin of the Foundation through the same form stated above.
In addition to this, our banning policy has been reviewed. Every ban will need be documented with a snapshot and reported to the Head of Admins.

Together we can embrace this change to make this community stronger!

Forward, Together, Forward!

Dear HTMLCOIN Community,

Our community is just like any other community -- differences exist. In our case, it's the organizational differences.

This is normal and something we should all embrace. However, we should not allow our differences to be a stumbling block in achieving our goal in developing our HTML blockchain as a community.

Our community is strong because we are diverse and composed of different people around the world, which makes us one big family.

Mission Statement

As of now, nothing has changed in our Mission and Vision as stated in our White Paper. Our team will continue to develop our projects as stated in the White Paper. In fact, as part of our restructuring and reorganization, it is integral that we invite more experts in software development to finish the stated projects as reflected in our roadmaps and pipelines.

This restructuring and reorganization is a phase every organization can’t shy away from. It should be seen positively because this will enable us to recruit more talented individuals around the globe to help us develop our software offerings. Remember, the Htmlcoin is just one of the many products that we are developing now. We will continue to develop more products in our blockchain. We encourage outside developers to create new tools and projects that will benefit our community. To do this, we will set aside a budget to help encourage talented developers to join our community.

Social Media Management

The recent chaos has been caused by negative misinformation which resulted in fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) among our community members. To mitigate this, we will continue to monitor our social media outlets and make reasonable adjustments necessary to make sure it will not create unnecessary anxiety for future and current community members.

Coingather Funds

The forking of CoinGather was in line in with the fiduciary spirit. The CoinGather funds will be handed to a 3rd party entity to secure the coins in the near future. This has caused many controversies. One of the concerns is that it creates an extra supply. But this is not the case because the old wallet sent to CoinGather is frozen and cannot be spent. Hence, not able to enter into circulation. In essence, nothing was added.

Another concern is that our blockchain was compromised because of the forking. Nothing has been compromised so far as Peter Bushnell, our Executive Vice-President for Technology can attest.

The Global Family

Once an Htmlcoin member, always an Htmlcoin member. That being said, we are a global family. Yes, differences will exist in such a large and global community as ours. But, in reality, it is our diversity that actually makes us stronger! We should respect our diversity and celebrate it! For now, the most important thing to do is to regroup and move together as a strong and unified Htmlcoin community.

In the past week, there have been some exchanging of words among the teams that should not have happened publicly. We are all humans and prone to errors. Emotions were involved and feelings were hurt. This is part of our human experience and things such as this need to be handled privately within the team. Such negative and public exchanging of communication differences have the potential to shake the very core of our community. I am personally disappointed for what happened, especially all the unnecessary fear, anxiety, and stress caused to the community.

I would like to make a reconciliatory statement among teams, that is --- As an Htmlcoin community, we need to regroup and pick up the pieces together. To do this, we will collaborate to find common ground. By moving forward, we will have to burn old bridges and build newer and better ones.

I ask our community members to reach out to us ([email protected]) and to ask what they can do to help heal the community. By becoming proactive members, we will recover from this brief setback more quickly. The community’s support is an integral part of the solution. Healing will create momentum for a more positive future in the community.

Healing Process

To start the healing process, we will implement some changes to how we do things as a community. That is the way we hire new talents, appropriating funds for projects, and project management.

As part of the rebuilding process, Simon Telfer is rejoining the team as Technical Advisor for Technology and Business Development. He will help formulate Technology and Business strategies in the community. Ilir Tahiri is also joining, he is a veteran in the community and will help with project management. Antony is also joining the marketing team to help create more responsive content. We will hire more people and will seek professional help in finding the best talents to join us. From this day forward, everyone that is hired will be introduced formally to the community and the community will get a chance to meet and know them.

Another equally important matter is that we will publicize our projects, including the ones in the roadmaps and timelines for community members to prioritize. After we, as a community decide what projects we will undertake, we will then start promoting them throughout the community. We have several project developers wanting to develop in our blockchain, waiting for the team’s approval.

Developers seeking to develop in our blockchain and in our community will then present their project to the community for comments. We will also include projected budgets for transparency.

Ongoing Initiatives

HTML will not be deviating from their existing plans to launch a new website, a mobile IOS and Android wallet and being listed on more and larger exchanges. We are being listed on HITBTC, Kucoin, and others that will be announced when further details are available. Anyone advertising otherwise is not privy to the inner workings of our organizations and is purely sharing speculation.

POMA

The POMA team is also doing a wonderful job in developing the POMA software package. We are allocating a budget for this, together with the new talents joining us to help it develop more. This will make our community even stronger and bigger in its software offerings.

I would like to thank POMA team members for their hard work. I am disappointed to see some of our members leave the HTMLCOIN team -- new talents are joining the team which will enable us to add more products and services, develop the potential of our blockchain technology and focuses on what is best for the community.

SWAP REMINDER

The last day for the 1:1 swap ratio for HTML:HTML5 is February 12, 2018.  This is true regardless of where or how the HTML5 coins are held.  As everyone, including Yobit users, have had ample time to swap their coins, there will not be any exceptions to the swap ratio timeframes.

If you have coins currently stuck onYobit due to a failed withdrawal, you must arrange a solution withYobit. The HTMLCOIN Foundation does not and cannot control Yobit’s systems.  If you have coins there and you haven’t yet withdrawn them, you can swap, manually, using a Yobicode.

To swap HTML5 from Yobit manually using a Yobicode, please contact me [email protected] directly.  If you have HTML5 coins in a wallet you control, please swap using the swap form on htmlcoin.com.

The swap ratios Will apply depending on when you send the valid Yobicode, so do not delay in taking care of this.

Dear Htmlcoin Community,

RE: The Htmlcoin Community: Steadfast & Resilient.

As you all know, shortly after HTMLCOIN swapped from HTML5 to the new HTML blockchain, CoinGather, one of the largest exchanges that supported HTMLCOIN, disappeared from the Internet. Despite repeated attempts at contact by the Foundation and the many users who had coins stored on that exchange, to my knowledge, no one has been successful in reaching the owner of CoinGather. The Foundation has been closely monitoring the address to which it swapped approximately 13.98 billion HTML; to date, no coins have left that address.

Shortly after CoinGather went offline, we were made aware of user reports to the FBI of a potential exit scam. In light of this, we cannot discuss the matter except to inform the Community that, to prevent these coins from entering circulation, at block height 106,000, the HTMLCOIN blockchain was hard forked to freeze the almost 14 billion coins in that address and to regenerate them in a new address.

These coins belong to their rightful owners, and will only be released on direction from the authorities or final resolution on the CoinGather matter. NO NEW COINS were added to circulation or supply, as the original coins are no longer valid for transactions on the blockchain, the old coins in Coingather's wallet are lack and cannot be spent.

Please direct any questions you may have to [email protected].

PS: More Exchange services to come.

All the best,

Amando R. Boncales, BA, MSEd, MA, PhDc.

Dear Htmlcoin Community,

With 2017 coming to a close, I wanted to take a moment to send out a special message to our entire community.

As I reflect upon this past year, I look at all the challenges we faced and overcame. When problems arose, we banded together and tirelessly sought out solutions that not only solved the problems at hand, but made both Htmlcoin and our community stronger. We adapted and moved forward, beating all odds along the way.  We persevered.

Since our launch in early 2014, we have evolved from a basic cryptocurrency to a blockchain platform with the ability to handle smart contracts, Dapps, and much more.  Our evolution from a singular cryptocurrency focus to that of a multi-faceted [Suspicious link removed]munity has been deliberate as we strive to be responsive and relevant to the current state of the new global blockchain phenomenon.

Now, as I look toward  2018, I believe that we will emerge as a leader in this new competitive cryptocurrency and blockchain world economy. Why?--because of our amazing community and our ability to adapt. Anyone can launch a cryptocurrency, but not everyone has the positive and unflinching massive community support that we have, not to mention the dedicated professionals from all sectors of the cyrptocurrency and business space that are committed to developing and promoting our coin and blockchain worldwide.  We are poised to make a difference!

So, as we all move forward this next year, let's have a look at where we have been and how much we have accomplished. Let's revel in what we have overcome and allow ourselves a pat on our own backs. But more than anything, let's allow ourselves to become excited with what we, as a community, have built and the potentials we have created.  Hard work is still ahead of us, but it will be exciting and the possibilities are endless. The Htmlcoin community is a special one, and together, we will do special things in 2018. Here's to exciting times ahead!

Happy New Year to all!

All the best,

Dear Community Members,

Its here:

MANDATORY UPGRADE

Updated release of HTMLCOIN 2.0 to include a correction of the eHRC difficulty adjust, PoS and PoW are calculated separately when calculating one blocks from the other are skipped, the iterator that counts the number of blocks sampled was incremented even when blocks of the wrong type were skipped causing unexpected problems in the wild. This release fixes this issue at block height 7,700, make sure you have upgraded before then.

If you used the Windows installer for HTMLCOIN 2.0.0.0 please uninstall it first as the installation folder has changed to avoid a conflict with HTMLCOIN 1.x, the new version of the client will install to Program Files in a folder called HTMLCOIN2.

If you used the MAC installer for HTMLCOIN 2.0.0.0 please just install the new package.

Please do not make any changes to the data directory that contains your wallet.dat, it will remain unchanged by the uninstaller, installer or new client. It is always wise to back up your wallet.dat and can be done so from the File menu in either 2.0.0.0 or 2.0.0.1.

The client is now at v2.0.0.1.
