how to instal HYP wallet on Digitalocean VPS linux
??

I already paid Digital Ocean VPS server
I want install wallet there ,, so how to do it with ssh command
any one can help with step by step or give me link ?
I searched google too much but i didnt find the way

https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/blob/master/doc/build-unix.md

should get you pretty close, though I admit its been a long ass time since I've installed hyp on a clean machine.

If this is enough info, feel free to hop on our IRC and ask for help. There is a ton of very helpful folks on there that will gladly help you though the process.

Thanks billo! I just added a new note to this doc:
Depending on your BDB setup, you may need to use './configure --with-incompatible-bdb'

presstab, maybe you want to add this link to the OP for inexperienced users (probably together with an affiliate link to DO).

Yes Tranz is correct. Make sure to backup this .dat first of course. The benefit of using the .dat instead of importing keys is that you probably would have to import a lot of your "change address" keys.

You can import the priv keys, or just move the wallet.dat

you mean backup and move .dat file then move this file to new vps ??

this will not cause loseing coin weight ??

Correct.  Just shut down the current wallet Copy the wallet.dat to the new VPS. Start the new VPS wallet with -rescan. All should be good.

there are a metric shit ton listed here::

http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/HYP/nodes.php
a metric shit ton of refused connections is what im getting...

that's obviously not a coin issue, man. check your port forwarding.

^^ your firewall or your wallet port information is most likely the problem... I'd start with your firewall if you're not getting any connections.  Perhaps it's blocking that port?  Or your forwarding that port to a different IP on your network?

EDIT:  Here's my current peer info... just restarted the coin PC too so these are connections that came right in...

Is really dangerous to have your wallet in a vps, your can be hacked,, be victim of a internal job , better is to have it on your pc or a paper wallet

A paper wallet for HYP would be not be the most intelligent plan for what should be obvious reasons.

Is really dangerous to have your wallet in a vps, your can be hacked,, be victim of a internal job , better is to have it on your pc or a paper wallet

If your wallet is encrypted with a strong passphrase (and you have a strong password on your VPS account), these threats can be neglected. The only weak point is a possible installation of a malicious wallet that can intercept an RPC command carrying your pass (or your bash history if it isn't deleted). Keep your VPS clean from untrusted sources (and use a reliable VPS service provider like DigitalOcean) and you will be OK Smiley. But if you want to be a real secret agent, you can make RPC calls from your local machine via an encrypted tunnel (don't forget about keyboard spies if you are on a vulnerable OS Cool).
