Now is a great time to buy into the best Altcoins like Hyperstake. As BTC rises alts have lowered, and its a great time to pick up the best ones at a good price.

Price is nice and low, seems like a nice time to make an entry into HyperStake!

Let me ask you this.
Does the above hourly bootstrap also include a quick start pack? An exe and batch file to launch the wallet from any location!!!!!
Right now I only have a windows exe and batch, but I plan on adding linux and osx for the coins that have precompiled wallets.

My goal with LGS is to provide a centralized source of info for the entire POS community, not simply one coin or another. I created this site because everytime I started with a new coin I had a hell of a time finding a bootstrap that worked or was up to date. Might as well help others have an easier start than I did. I am also hoping that this service is a push for the devs of all POS coins to offer easy to find and access bootstraps and wallets to get people started.

While you say some nice things... I would never run a wallet or bootstrap that is not from the developer of each individual coin...

I prefer to build my own wallets from source I can actually sift through for the simple reason of trust.

How can I be sure your executable won't burn me?  Only trust.  So no thanks.

Others may feel differently but that's my stance.

Bootstraps are designed to be safe, as they require that you scan every block and transaction. So as long as you sync up to the same hash as the explorer a bootstrap is good.

An exe that is not official, I agree with you. Better think twice.

Two new commits today, they seem to be working well with my staking setup so I am making them public:

Check for mintable coins less often (instead of everytime we hash) https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/commit/3ddb73a1ffc2f90fd50832c04fe907a301192941
Keep stake coins set in memory instead of iterating every time we hash https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/commit/dbb7b9f64a1c09bb554c8139717c645a64ce6f4b

These probably don't give a huge increase in performance, but every little bit helps.

this coin is the best 'experimental' one i have seen. Why not have more services and payment processors accepting the coin?

what about anon features?

We are the first to program your future (c)
estimated altcoin inflation or total supply over the next 10 years?

the information is needed for http://alt19.com/19/cryptocurrency.php

thanks

As to this moment:

Current total supply: 347 183 755

1 year from now: 697 583 755 (100.93% yearly gain)

2 years from now: 1 047 983 755 (50.23% yearly gain)

3 years from now: 1 398 383 755 (33.44% yearly gain)

4 years from now: 1 748 783 755 (25.06% yearly gain)

5 years from now: 2 099 183 755 (20.04% yearly gain)

Each subsequent year can be calculated by adding 350 400 000 (max annual emission) to total estimated supply.

thank you
does HYP have ACP or other active checkpointing mechanisms?

There is no need in active checkpointing, HyperStake is relatively old and has an extraordinary difficulty. Malicious chains are close to impossible, be it a plain double-spending or Sybil attack. Here is what presstab says about it.

If the coin is designed in a secure way, with high difficulty and a diverse group of stakers, then there isn't anything to worry about and a checkpoint server would in my opinion make it less secure, as you have a single agent that can either mismanage the chain or intentionally exploit it.

Out of all the coins I have worked on, HYP's still stands out at the absolute best staking code. This is why I am diving back into the staking process and trying to find some more ways to optimize performance. More and more people are beginning to stake on raspberrys, odroids, virtual machines, etc. I would love to make the staking process even more efficient then it is now.

Good idea

Yup- I can relate to that.

Anyone needing a recent bootstrap for hyperstake can find one here
http://letsgetstaking.com/bootstrap-files

Dont take this the wrong way cause I respect the service you provide BUT if you point your eyes to the post above yours you will see that iantunc already provides an hourly bootstrap for hyp and is a VERY respected member of the hyp community.

NOT that I am saying you should stop doing what you are doing, but I guess more so that maybe you are wasting your breath?

getting the following error
Unable to bind to 0.0.0.0:18775 on this computer. HyperStake is probably already running.

Failed to listen on any port. Use -listen=0 if you want this.

I don't see it in the task manager.

maybe I have too many wallets running,
currently running net, tek, sprouts, truck

is there a way to change ports?

Thanks

It is probably because truck is running and HYP was forked from truck.  I have TEK running so I know that it doesn't conflict with hyp.  Edit the config file in the appdata/roaming folder to a port that isn't in use
Ok, thanks.
I created a shortcut and changed "C:\Users\Noe\Desktop\stakecoins\hyperstake 1.1.1.3\HyperStake-qt.exe"    to:

"C:\Users\Noe\Desktop\stakecoins\hyperstake 1.1.1.3\HyperStake-qt.exe" -listen=0
That did the trick
