wondering if the wallet release 1.0.7.1 is supposed to be auto combining blocks after they have staked?

I had 2 stakes since installing and it seems to have auto merged for me

Yep they are automerging. I thought I had the code set to only automerge stakes if the blocks would be less than 1,000 HYP each, but set it wrong and right now they all merge. I have been testing the updated code on my wallet over night and it seems to be working. So will get a new update out soon.

haha, awesome. I wondered if i had a HYPghost merging them while i slept. Alas, it was some nice code doing it for me.

CounterParty: can't see, I never really looked much at it
Wallet: we'll try to include improvements of the Qt wallet to the web wallet when it will make sense

On another note, rememwer you can buy Spicy Sauce from our IRC member TheKingOfProm! Stake 4 Steak #stakeandcash

As a happy customer I can say that

wow staking has become incredibly difficult over the last few weeks... i have a block of nearly 800 coins with an age of 39 !  Shocked

Diff has started to stabilize and increase at a steady rate. You should stake soon. In future if you can try for larger block sizes around 3000.

question. At what age might it be worth resizing blocks size 1500 and under? For instance a block of 1200 that is 3 days old might stake faster if I combine it with other to make a block of 3000 (even though I'm resetting the coinage). So for a block of 1500 that is 5 days old, is it worth combining with others or should I just wait until it stakes it to combine with others?

Web Wallet
We are considering creating a web wallet for HyperStake (like blockchain.info or coinbase).
*snip*

The Web Wallet would be great HYPe for HYPerstake.  Especially with functional staking.
How much more difficult would integration with CounterParty be?

On the other hand HYPerstake already has one of the best QT wallets out there... it would be a shame if people did not get to experience it.

Since I cannot reach kliown in any other way (not on IRC now, no known BCT account, this is a warning for all: don't beg or you will be delisted. The only reason why I did not delist kliown right away is possible confusion in previous exchanges (partly du to a bad English level).

does anyone know, what is staking hardware,...
can we use this..
I am not sure if I understand you question correctly.
If you want to know if there is hardware specifically for staking, no.

BUT, you can save a lot on energy and avoiding buying (expensive) hardware by using RaspberryPi or comparable hardware.
Very low power consumption, very small, fits in you pocket and you can let it run 24/7.
Absolutely worth to have a look at.
Something I will have do myself, also good to use as multimedia box.
Enough cpu power the handle most common apps.

Can I disable stake splitting?  With the latest client allowing split on demand can we set a check box in options to disable the split?  This helps with gardening.

I will also investigate and see if I can do it and submit a commit if I get it done.

I staked a block yesterday and it didn't split.  Curious.

Not in my case (yet).
I have deliberately chosen for a somewhat smaller input size (also, I was not always willing to destroy the age of split blocks
when they were generated almost a day before I checked) so most my blocks are in the 1000-2000 range and do not yet reach
the cap (1000 HYP) although it does take them longer before they stake than in the beginning, when almost everything staked
around 9 days age. The only cap that I am experiencing is one smaller block of 600 that is nearing the 30 days cap, after which it
might stop gaining reward if it does not stake in the coming 2 days, we'll see. So, I am still getting very close to 750% only the
blocks take a little longer to stake, this last one was pretty big and still took more than 12 days.

Thanks for the bug report Cor2, you have led me to find another error  Embarrassed

Am testing out some new code for it now.  Smiley
Thanks for the heads up.
I did not realise Cor2 that you were actually addressing a bug.
Not sure what the impact of that bug is in my situation, using 'old" trusted 1.04 wallet.
I only had 1 stack hitting cap and it made sense considering that amount of days it was stuck.

Added.

I make use of PC's from recycle centers or straight out of a dumpster.
Costs 0 USD, dumpsters located in business/industry are great sources since companys often upgrade well within 5 years or less...

And now for a slogan:
"From trash to cash"
I'm sure you can do something out of it!
LOL
Good one !
Copied and pasted for future use.

Thanks !

We are the first to program your future (c)
There is also one thing we can consider. What if we will hold BTC airbag in the form of a portfolio of staking assets?
Emergency funds shall be available in the form of hard BTC. You need immediate availibity for this and you don't want the price tanking because the altcoin crumbles. The only way that could have been possible is just-dice.com but it is closed sine diem because Canadian law.

The stabilization fund can be split into few parts. An emergency buffer, in hard BTC, and a replenishment buffer (we should not rely only on donations), in a set of PoS altcoins with a relatively steady exchange rate and volume. To prevent the price tanking each asset should be bought on the dips (the portfolio will be formed gradually). In this case the replenishment buffer can be urgently sold without a loss if needed.
OK. As long as someone handles the replenishment. Would you be this person?

Sure. I'll launch HyperDeck (in a day or two) and then will be ready to set up the replenishment buffer for HyperShield. I'll need some advice from holders about their best practices and coins of choice. Then I'll make an in-depth market analysis, develop an investment plan and present it for a public discussion.
