Besides that, I've got nothing regarding bug fixes. A web wallet would be awesome though and should be next thing Grin

Ok I have fixed the DNS seeding, so newcomers wont need to manually add a node.
I have also fixed the stake split threshold to default to 1,000 HYP blocks or larger, and also have new RPC call setstakesplitthreshold , that will allow you all to decide whats best for your wallet.

Any other bugs/important things that need to be done before releasing a new wallet version?

PUSH IT!

you must have inadvertently clicked the ignore link in blue below his picture. Click 'un-ignore' and you will be able to see his posts again

I'm unsure as to where things stand with the block splitting and I know it's being worked on.  I had a ~4k block stake that did not split.  This happened right after I went to sleep so the first thing I did this morning was split it and lose a bit of age.  Not a big deal but it got me thinking.  Would it be possible to make it so that one could select whether or not a block will split after minting before it mints?

The last release had a mistake in the code, and pretty much every stake will combine if you use that wallet version.

I just made a new commit to github yesterday that allows the user to choose the stake split threshold by entering an RPC command. I think the more power given to the user to customize their portfolio the better. Will fix a few more things and get a new release out soon.

Last I heard, the splitting mechanism is not working as expected. Presstab is working on it. since his method of working on things generally means more bells and whistles, I'm happily waiting Cheesy

Honni Soit Qui Mal i Pense
wow staking has become incredibly difficult over the last few weeks... i have a block of nearly 800 coins with an age of 39 !  Shocked

Diff has started to stabilize and increase at a steady rate. You should stake soon. In future if you can try for larger block sizes around 3000.

question. At what age might it be worth resizing blocks size 1500 and under? For instance a block of 1200 that is 3 days old might stake faster if I combine it with other to make a block of 3000 (even though I'm resetting the coinage). So for a block of 1500 that is 5 days old, is it worth combining with others or should I just wait until it stakes it to combine with others?

On the Hyperloan thread im sharing some discoveries (as a noob) that im doing comparing how im stacking 4000 versus 4500 HYPs. Maybe you want to check it out, and tip... Oh wait, no tipbot here ;-)

(These people should be sending me a commission...)

If you want to go the arm board route, I HIGHLY recommend these ::

http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G138745696275

They are bat shit crazy fast compared to the pi and have the option for eMMC for data storage vs the easily corruptible and slow sd card storage of the pi.

does anyone know, what is staking hardware,...
can we use this..
Mig,
I presume that you are talking about a small single-board computer setup to run a wallet (or more)
such as the Raspberry Pi which is a credit-card size computer that runs from a cellphone charger,
so the power consumption is very low, but is powerful enough for staking.

I have a pi there really good for PoS. Anyone who has one and is looking to set one up there are a few links on the main page of this thread that will point you in the right direction.

Since I cannot reach kliown in any other way (not on IRC now, no known BCT account, this is a warning for all: don't beg or you will be delisted. The only reason why I did not delist kliown right away is possible confusion in previous exchanges (partly du to a bad English level).

Did it again so delisted.

Damn. Begging was gonna be my next step!

(I kid, David. I'm good)

I hope nobody minds a bit of humor...  Grin

[Tiny Tim]: Oh please sir can you spare a bit of hyperstake? The office is so cold now that all the scrypt based GPU miners have been turned off...
[Hyper Banker]: No begging.  Get a job, get a haircut, no spare change.  We only give loans to people that don't look or act like they need one... next applicant please...  Grin
